Dear Marcia. You video has been very useful to me. As a non native speaker I benefited of the fact that the pace of the speech is so nice for non natives. I thank you so much.
That was so useful, Creative Life Center. I wanted to know how to set up a meeting and hey, that's exactly what you showed as per the title! You avoided tonnes of other things that people like to show and kept to what they were looking for. Great video. Thank you for posting. You saved me hours.
I had to comment, lol Clear, easy, to the point and you saved me time in scheduling a zoom call for the first time. I usually get invited, never done the inviting. Yey, to many more zoom invites. Thousands thanks for sharing your brilliant uniquness.
OMG, thank you so much for this information. I set up a zoom meeting this Saturday for the first time and it's very important. I went back today to check on it after spending hours on a video for it to see it wasn't there. after looking at your video I saw where it was at. thanks for keeping your video short and simple.

If you are setting up a meeting and inviting people to attend the meeting, do those being invited have to have the zoom app download it? I was told no. Can you verify?
Zoom does not provide a way to invite people. It provides the information for you to share with the people you want to invite. One way to share that information is by sending email. What you DO NOT want to do is post the Zoom link in a public way - like on a website or public social media post. If you do unwanted people could join and disrupt your meeting.
Am I understanding this correctly. When you schedule a meeting with invitees, does Zoom not send the invite to them automatically? I have to copy the meeting invite and then send it via email myself?
had a hard time getting my client/invitee to turn the mute off on his phone, took half hour and I kept having to set up another meeting....btw, on the computer it only allows you to set up meetings every half hour and the limit says it is 40 min for a FREE account, but there is no 40 min option for a meeting, half hour or 1 hour, thats it, so pretty confusing.
The scheduled times for the meeting are for the people being inviting. You can start the meeting before the scheduled time and as long as you don't go past the limits of your Zoom account, you can go longer than scheduled.
You'll use your email provider or service to send the emails. You'll need have the email addresses already or get them from the people you want to invite.
@@ChadlyCreativeConsulting Thank you for your reply . Its efficient and worthy to prepare the client base email addresses before inviting members to a topic/lesson. Im not sure whether you could send a additional reminder a few hours before start of lesson too ?
What does SoulCollage have to do with ZOOM? Why do two different timesw show up? There seems to be no way to transfer the information. How do i do that?
Hi, Marcia--Thanks for this really good video. But I do have a question. I live in Arizona but I need to schedule a meeting with someone in London. Under meeting time, do I enter in my AZ time or do I enter in the time the meeting will take place in London? London (at the time I'm writing this) is seven hours ahead of my time zone. In Zoom is there a way to also enter in the time of the meeting for the London participant as well as the time of the meeting in my time zone? If there isn't a way to enter in the London time of the meeting for the participant via Zoom, should I let the London participant know the time of the meeting in London somewhere in the body of my email since if I can't enter it in Zoom? Does Zoom automatically make the meeting available at the London time to the other participant? I hope this isn't too confusing!
Time zones are an important thing to be aware of! When you schedule a meeting, the Zoom form shows which time zone you are scheduling in. You can change the time zone if you want. I share ideas for helping people with time zone conversion when you invite them to your Zoom meeting in my free Zoom hosting ecourse here - www.clcneighborhood.com/courses/3338878/about
Thanks for the super easy video! Question...I don't see "Audio" options (telephone/computer audio/telephone and computer audio) when creating my invite. Please advise!
You can schedule a recurring meeting to get a meeting ID?URL that stays available for you to use for meetings that happen repeatedly and you want to always use the same meeting ID/URL.
I have reoccurring meetings at the same times each week. If I create a reoccurring meeting do I have to send out an email/text every week to join that meeting or does the information work again after being used?
Are you using the Zoom support for scheduling recurring meetings? That support does keep the meeting id the same. Here's info from Zoom - support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/214973206-Scheduling-recurring-meetings
Thanks Marcia, and for your reply! Can you Record a meeting in the Basic free zoom account version, I heard you mention it as being available in the paid-for version (only)? And if so, could it be "reused" via RUclips, Facebook etc?
When I schedule a meeting, the Passcode option (under Security) is faded out and won't let me 'click' it. How can I change this? When my elderly relatives get my zoom invite in their email, there is no LINK for them to join the meeting, and they don't know what to do! So frustrating....
Hi Jan, That does sound frustrating! Here are a few thoughts... 1) Is your Zoom app up to date? Does updating it change either problem? 2) Is the Passcode option checked and won't let you uncheck it or unchecked and you can't check it? All meeting must have either a passcode or a waiting room - Zoom enforces that. So if you aren't using a waiting room, the passcode option will be forced to be on. 3) You might want to check the default security settings you have in place in your Zoom account - zoom.us/profile/setting 4) What do you relative receive in the email? How are you creating and sending the email to them?
