As a retired engineer I have been watching your videos a long time Keith. Your marine experience and knowledge is exceptional. What is more you are passing it on. An honourable thing to do. We try with our little sailing channel to do the same. Thank you for gifting your knowledge, time and dedication. Both to the engineering community and those of us who follow you from the boating community. Your patriotism to your country is admirable sir. If only others stood behind their flag with such dedication. We wish you well. Sail Safe. Ant, Cid and the pooch crew (SV Impavidus)
So happy that you are back with us. We know that everyone has stuff to take care of but we forget that our YOU TUBE stars are people just like the great unwashed masses who watch and re-watch every video and post that you make. So thanks for taking an hour or so out of your current situation and giving us a quick and dirty woodruff job. I'd have been happy to watch you vacuum chips out of the gap in the lathe. Good luck.
Right on Keith! Your videos are the best out there! Thanks for all that you do. Sending lots of support your way! Hope your shop move goes as smooth as possible. We all support you here in You Tube land!
Keith, Faithful subscriber for years. Missed you recently. Glad you're back!! Still the best, most honest machinist-channel on YT. No BS. Very sorry about you and Vanessa. Been there. It gets better. Hang in. I like the new look, too. Very distinguished and appropriate for the senior statesman of the YT Machinist's Universe. But more than anything, Thanks for being Keith Fenner.
I didn’t know you we’re gone, I am glad to see a cleaner reasonable you . You struck me to attention with the pledge at the beginning, and I said it with you. Thank you for your patriotism, it is the proper thing to do as an American. I stand with you for this country.
Thank you for sharing this setup with a hefty weldment, and for investing your time to share this kind of knowledge. Had no idea how to properly and easily lash that monster to the mill table.
Thank your for the pledge of allegiance. "Chingadero's"....My mother used to say that. Nice memory. I have a similar dial gauge on my old lathe. I love it. And that powered Z! I keep looking at them but for now I'll call it exercise moving mine up and down. One last thing. I frequently use small action cameras for my videos and have found that an old magnetic indicator holder with a camera mount works great in the shop where there is so much iron. Beddt to you. ~P
Fantastic to see fresh Turnwright content ! Hope all is well and thanks Keith ! And to all that don’t like the pledge I’m British and have no issues with someone else’s beliefs and loyalty’s just skip the first few seconds if it isn’t to your taste!
Keith, great to see you back! You seem to be one of the only "home shop" owners that actually has a regular base of "customers" instead of endlessly buying new equipment, and not having any customers.
You are the first machinist guy I started watching on youtube- you and Jody. Seems like almost 10 years ago- back when you had classic rock playing lightly in the background of many videos. Back when youtube was big, but not the monster it has become. I think you have probably changed the least of all the top machining channels. I think many of us feel like we know you- even though we really don't. While we all love other channels too, I think you are missed most when you take a break- for myself anyway. While I love other channels, I feel like you are the purist as far as machining. You may not have the most subs of the most watched marching channels, but I'm betting you are the one missed the most when gone and are the one channel we could not do without. At least that's the way I feel.
While I'm sure that we all love watching TOT and the great videos he makes, I have used your channel more when I need to review something or watch how something is done. For example, when researching presses, I got more out of your discussion on your completed press than watching TOT build a very nice press. I think your viewers are a higher concentration of guys with machines in their shop or garage that use them on a regular basis and viewers of TOT are the same guys, but with 5x more that are extreme enthusiasts that want to watch 90 minutes worth of Tony scraping in his grinding table- although I don't think he has done a thorough rebuild video of that depth in the last 5 years- that 3 part video was like what you do- in depth and with just about everything one needs to consider. I watched the 90 minutes because I had a mill that needed X axis work. Anyway, I can say I've gotten more useful knowledge from you Keith Fenner- the machinist that guys want to watch when they need more info on a job they are about to do themselves. There is no other machinist out there like you(in my opinion) for guys like us. I love watching ox tool make lapping plates and SV seeker build an awesome boat, but you teach me what I need to know to get my work done- THANK YOU KEITH!
so good to have you back and on form Keith, still the most real and honest person on youtube who does it for the right reason. Sorry to hear of your distractions but you seem to be over the worse, so please keep going you brighten up a darkened world in UK.thx
It is very nice to see an old wizard working with equally old equipment. I have just finished the overhaul of my Schaublin milling machine and I am learning to use it. No digital readouts, just eyeballs and the good old dials. It is accurate but one has to think ahead with backslash and all :) Thanks for sharing this one ! P.S. You can count me in on Your related channels list.
I think it's great to see a video where the head got moved to accomplish the project. Haven't seen that done yet. Cant wait to see one where all the compound movements are used.
good to see you back at it kieth we missed your tallent and you of course. hope all is good with well you know. your looking younger and seem pretty happy. thumbs up kieth.
Glad to see you've come up for air. :) Really miss watching your vids, 'n learning how you work on , & fix stuf. Hope you are doing well, look forward to the next project.
I stand with you, each opening video. With you all the way, with this and always feel better, at least to my pride of Citizenship, and myself. Keep on, keeping on
So glad to see you in the shop my friend. May GOD Bless you mightily. Very good setup and work holding demonstration. I wish I was 30 years young and had more time to do machining. LOL 'Til the next time, be safe, and prosper.
Welcome back Mr Fenner... glad to see you here. You've been sorely missed.

Keith, great to see you back!
You seem to be one of the only "home shop" owners that actually has a regular base of "customers" instead of endlessly buying new equipment, and not having any customers.
His isn't a homeshop, it's an actual business shop for 25 + years that happens to be located at his house.
Glad to have you back Keith.
Wonderful to see you back Keith. Regards Sarah
