Been watching all of your videos because I've been using Suavecito and want to explore different pomades. I just bought Shear Revival Crystal Lake, really excited to see how things go after doing some digging about the optimal water-based pomade. Your vids help a lot, thanks Pomp!
Fiber pomade isn't really made for the pompadour hairstyle. It's made more fore quiffs and modern cuts, I'd also say that fiber pomades don't really work in fine hair.
*Nice vid, but why do you only mention pompadours, as if they're the only hairstyle out there known to those that use pomades, clay, or wax?? It's always good to look beyond the norm, but hey, to each their own...*
DementedMafiaMinds This channel is The Pomp. It's only about that hairstyle, and this video was made for fans of the hairstyle to understand which hair products are good for that look and what isn't.
Hi. I have dry hair. I'm using a repair shampoo. But I wonder what kind of product should I use to avoid getting dry again. Also is there any kind of product that make my hair healthier instead of dry? Thank you in advance.
Oscar Anibal Hernandez use sulfate free shampoo or use conditioner...if that doesnt work, use hair tonic...Dont shampoo your hair everyday or too often because some shampoo remove the natural oil that your hair need....
+I'm just saying. Thanks for the response. Sulfate free shampoo is the repair shampoo my barber recommended. I can say it is working my hair is getting shiny and silk. The problem is that the sides are still dry. Maybe it will take more time to catch up with the rest of my hair so I will keep using the shampoo but any other tips are welcome.
Anybody know where I can find a jar similar to the amber looking one when he was explaining Oil Based pomades? I like that it has a metal lid, the ones i find on amazon/ google all have plastic lids- which I dont like- thanks to anyone who replies!
I'm bald.
But I watched it.

I used bonafide fibre pomade and it came out well.
Dixie-Peach-Pomade, Royal crown & Blue magic pressing oils are my favorites :)
Great information thanks for taking the time to make this!
thanks man really appreciate this
Good info and straight to the point. Much appreciated.
You say don't bother with fiber pomades. Does this mean you not too hot for Admiral's fiber product?
Yeah remembered him saying how good admiral was
Yeah I can only remember him liking Cool Grease Fiber which wasn't really even a fiber pomade
Those products work! It's just the fiber aspect of them is just a gimmick so they just work as a regular pomade
Daniel Rios I guess James needs to to back and edit his review for Admiral's fiber pomade!
Well it is what it is lol

James take a look at Pomp & Co Hair Cream, works well for loose finger-styled pomps and side-parts (just my opinion of course.)
I use traditional oil pomade but i put gel on my comb and then I comb my hair so I can get more volume and hold. but choose the right gel for it.

and also
what is the best pomade youve ever used?
Rene T he's got a whole list of pomades and his ratings www.the-pomp-official.com/pomade-chart/
which ones are the most populer products in the market ?
very helpful, thank you!
Have any of you tried the daimon barber number 4 is so is it any good?
aye what are the name of your glasses or where did u get them from????
I liked my baxter clay pomade. Is there any other cheaper alternatives to it?
Wax is one of the ingredients in pomades, not a stand alone product.
How is REDKENS BREW cream pomade?
What would you guys choose between By Vilain Dynamite Clay and Baxter of California Clay Pomade (without suggesting other products)?
Baxter of California Clay Pomade is amazing. Can give you amazing volume if you want that.
Does oil-based pomade hav shiny looks?
yes, usually, but the label will say how shiny it is. "matte" means non-shiny.

I have mastered the craft of making an oil-based styling clay. Oil based, because it's easy. I will never purchase again. Check out my DIY videos!
