- We go to Lititz Pa a town that has so many great places to eat to try the Oregon Dairy Restaurant. We would have loved to have eaten the Buffet but it's only on the weekends. We will try the Ham Balls some Strawberry Pie and Apple Butter Chicken. So let us show you around this popular restaurant.

sorry im late catching up on your videos my mom passed away on us sunday it happened kinda fast her getting worse she was on life support over liver disease and my dad had to pull the plug she fought hard but she had been watching your videos with me at times she really thought alot of you guys watching these helps me cope with whats going on so i appreciate it

We went to the Dairy Resturant 3 years ago, while on vacation. Got the Lemon Pepper Talapia. Really good. Very friendly workers. Enjoyed the overhead trains. Enjoyed petting zoo, and gift shop. Would have got outdoor ice cream, but was 98 degrees outside. Thanks for showing video of this place. Brought back some good memories.

Putting things in our Jello is a staple in Utah . looks great soup and Jello . meal's looks so good also . I love grilled chicken so tender .

We call that slaw freezer slaw. When I was a kid family dinners someone seemed to bring green jello with slaw mix in it.Those ham balls must be like the ham loaf I had as a kid Great Indiana memories

My sisters and I Love trains. Our brother had a set, my dad was set up for Christmas. He'd get so angry at us girls, for playing with his trains. They were fun!

My old stomping ground. A few years ago; when I ate there, I ran into Donny Osmond. Apparently, it is one of his favorite places when in Lancaster County. Another time I ran into Taylor Kinney in the grocery store. Taylor is a local.

Apple butter bbq sauce sounds great. I will have to try out the Oregon Dairy.
It's very good. Has A1 in it so it's not like putting straight apple butter on it. Loved the Ham Balls better than the chicken though..
My youngest son drives past there everyday;, but has never stopped. I told him about your video and he said he will have to check it out. Thanks for letting me know about the A-1 on the sauce and I will need to check out the ham balls.

I had the orange carrot salad at my grandmothers when I was a kid too except she added pecans to hers. I have made it as an adult but it doesn’t taste as good as my grandmother’s did. Thanks for bringing back a memory.
My Grandmother made the Jell-O Salad too. I make a cranberry jello salad at Thanksgiving my mom loves it. Nothing like Grandma's cooking.😎😎

We are blessed with awesome restaurants and outdoor farmers markets here in the Amish country. Tractors and horse & buggies drive by my house on the regular. I live in a small town close to Lititz. You're the first person to pronounce Lititz correctly.

Filling in past videos I missed...great tour and what a yummy, huge menu! It's too bad you could not get the ice cream. Ice cream is not that big a deal normally (good of course), but usually ice cream on a farm is insanely creamy and good. When I was at U of Connecticut, they have a famous Dairy Farm - their cows are special, they say (LOL). The ice cream is so amazing - never had anything like it before or since (except maybe Louis Sherry in NY/NJ). It is so hard to explain why it is different and so great. Just the creamiest ever.

Hey John and Bobby good morning that was a nice little place there you could tell the food was all homemade these Amish people I went to yesterday in Guthrie Kentucky some of them don't have electricity in their home but most of them do the women was baking pies and breads yesterday the man was making furniture great little community I go to up here again I highly respect the Amish community till next video guys take care

That soup looks delish!! I rember my Grandma making those jello salads, sometimes with cottage cheese in them. Not sure I ever had a ham ball, but they looked good too.

I used to live in reinholds Pennsylvania right down the road you should try out the reinholds Bar and Grill great Foods and Weavers I used to work at the country Pine furniture within 6 months there I became manager handmade Barb and Dan $3000000 in 6 months those people were great they treated me as their daughter it was amazing I would get tired of their sons bullcrap coming in whenever they want trying to run something that they have no idea has been changed I fired them we used to have a big old barn in the back and if the guys were done cleaning it up after working all day I would ask him to take my car out back and detail it as well as the bosses LOL God I miss that place 15 Vera Cruz Road don't know what it looks like now but it was beautiful when I had it God bless peace be with you much love and respect TCB

Yeah I went to that little grocery store they have some good food I had their chicken salad there really good I went to that little grocery store and I got the chicken salad and then I got homemade soda and cuz the restaurant was closed but the store was about to close but I just made it just in time and I got a few things I got a nice chicken salad sandwich and and some soda it was delicious and I ate it in the car it was so good

It reminds me of a place that we ate in Illinois.. the place was called Eckert. It had a grocery store and restaurant together. I ate chicken pot pie there. It was near the arch. Don’t remember the location. It was good and fresh. 🤠😎👍

That was my late wife's favorite place to eat. We always got the buffet. Ham Balls are off the chart and my daughter always said that the Mac n cheese was the best. The ice cream is ridiculously good. Very rich with milk fat. Glad you liked it.

Thanks for all your videos. I tried Oregon Dairy before the pandemic and the Amish buffet was terrible. I love Lancaster County cooking and heard good things about the place. The ice cream was wonderful. Will need to try there again.
For good chicken corn soup, stop by Windmill Family Restaurant in Morgantown PA. It's the only place I will eat chicken soup.

It was good watching both of you enjoy your food, but I know for a fact that certain foods that are served in restaurants are NOT homemade, employees don’t have the time ! Foods such as soups and some pastas and also desserts come in boxes, and in these boxes this type of food are in large plastic bags. They come in frozen , are set on sheet pans overnight to thaw. The next day these foods are set in boiling water, then emptied into pans, and when an order comes in, a worker simply scoops the food into a serving bowl, then it is served. I did cafeteria work for 2 years and that’s how it was done, it’s done the same way in any restaurant!👍

Everything looked great! The apple butter BBQ sauce sounded excellent with the A1 sauce and mustard blend. We may have to try to replicate that sauce at the house. Were the ham balls similar to ham loaf? The bakery had a lot of a unique offerings as well. Outstanding video!
It is similar to ham loaf. I think she told me these were deep fried but I wasn't sure that was right because they are normally baked. The sweet and sour sauce was amazing. This is on most Amish menus. Thanks guys for watching. 😎😎

You guys need to go back and try their buffet as it's delicious! I haven't been to the Oregon Farm join in a long time, but if that buffet is like it was years ago, you are really going to enjoy it.

Thank you so much Tom for the kind words. Bobbie and I just love being together. We have had a stressful year with our job closing after working there 35 years for Bobbie and me 20. You Tube is a escape for us and we enjoy reading all these comments. We will go back and do this sometime. We try to avoid this area at peak season on the weekends because of the high hotel rates. Maybe in the off season we will go because it's only offered on weekends. Thanks again Tom😎😎

Everything was very good. The Jell-O Salad was not bad. I remember my Grandmother making it John didn't like it. I ask the waitress if many people ordered it and she said mostly old people. Lol😎😎

I haven't seen Chicken Croquettes on a menu in years. My gramma made them good. Going to Indiana Amish next week for the flea market and to stock up on meats at Yoder's. I love the countryside , the people and their slow way of life. After all the great places you've shown, I've got to plan a trip there. Thanks for bringing us along.
You will really enjoy it. Hope you get to go. It's just relaxing and beautiful just driving through the countryside. Make sure if you come here to go to the Sight and Sound Theater. It's a must stop. Sells out 2 shows everyday so get tickets early. 😎😎

I love a good congealed salad. The orange/carrot is good, but I love perfection salad or that lime/cottage cheese one. I think that those jello salads give you a good palate cleansing taste and texture. Nice place

Do not know for sure. You could taste the A1 and it made the apple butter not as sweet as straight Apple Butter BBQ sauce. 😎😎
