- Join us as we go in this authentic Amish restaurant. We were told in the comments to go here so we decided to try it out. Everything is made by Amish cooks so we knew it had to be good. Wait to you see the paintings on the wall from the local area. So let's go inside and get some dinner.

As a Quarryville guy who's moved to Virginia 3 years ago, the main things i miss from my hometown and county are the Amish and their food. Also, the rolling countryside 😢

pausing at 2:13 to say, yes, its a simple looking place, no frills, but i love that the ceiling tiles are clean (when so many restaurants with those kinds of tiles are dark and mold growing in them) and i noticed the vents (up there) are also clean. thats a good sign. ok, back to watching.

Love the way you always thank your servers. Also love the respect you gave the workers there by not filming a lot indoors and honoring their wishes. Seeing the old school check (hand written vs computer printout) was fun to see and brought back memories.

The BBQ meatballs and noodles looked really good. It sounds like the mashed potatoes were a hit too. The strawberry jelly had to be amazing. When my grandma was alive, she’d make zucchini jelly and would serve it with a spoon. Seeing the strawberry jelly in your video reminded us of her jelly. Thanks for sharing another fantastic video.

Wish I could try those chicken croquettes. I can taste them in my mind but I can't find them anymore. If I ever get up that way it will be hard to narrow down all the great places you've been to.

Oh, I went to the Wilbur Chocolate company years ago, we had to have some Wilbur Chocolate Buds, they were delicious. Both of your meals looked yummy, my husband would love the homemade Peach Tea, and I have to say I always add pickle juice to my macaroni salad, it's a favorite here at our house and I'm not typically a macaroni salad eater, but I love mine. Your desserts looked so good and I'm a shoofly pie fan, yum. Thanks for taking us along on a nice trip. I've been away from You-Tube since last Friday, I had a small heart attack and ended up having surgery Saturday, 3 stents placed in my heart, and I'll be heading out for a small aneurism on my brain, ugh, but hey I'm still alive and I'm pretty thankful for that. Meal changes at my house are on the horizon, but I can still enjoy watching you two take us to all these different restaurants.

What a nice place to eat! I like to look at the menu and decide what I would like. Those mashed potatoes looked really good. You'll be glad to know that I took the strawberry jelly out of my purse when I saw that they had some for sale. I wanted a bite of the roll with jelly. Another great restaurant review. They sold it frozen. We couldn't bring it up this time because we stopped at a fair for 4 hours and they said he needs to stay refrigerated. Glad you enjoyed it. 😎😎

Another great video! Makes me hungry just looking at it. I'm from Cali so it's interesting to see the southern menus. Btw the potatoes look instant. "Smooth, no lumps" is usually the first indication of instant potatoes. Too bad that's mostly all you find anymore

We tried the Hometown Kitchen on our last trip to Lancaster county, I had the crab cakes, would not get them again. I enjoyed the broccoli/cauliflower salad and thought it was good. They never brought us any dinner rolls though.
We will stick with Katie’s Kitchen for authentic Amish cooking, never disappointed! It’s located just up the road from Hershey Farms/sight & sound.

Nice place with great looking food. I would have had a hard time choosing. I am a sucker for the homemade chicken chowder and the ham balls. And it's always hard to pass up good mashed potatoes.

I ran across this video tonight. We live about two hours from Lancaster and take many day trips down there. Some how we’ve NEVER managed to come across this restaurant. When we go we spend the day just driving around on the back roads, I couldn’t imagine how we never saw this restaurant. I pulled it up on the map and it’s a few miles away from where my daughter’s college roommate grew up, but is south of Strasburg, and we rarely go that far south. We will definitely make a day trip and check this place out! (Have you tried Dienner’s? It’s a miniature Shady Maple…. I kind of prefer it, not as crazy and hectic, but great food!) Thanks!

I used their mailing address. And what the GPS said. I always do that. I actually said both in opening but erased it so not to confuse people. Should have left it alone. I am a new subscriber, I found you just a few weeks ago. I live very close to Lancaster county. I am enjoying seeing you two at places my husband and I go to, also, but you have visited places I didn’t know about, so we will be going to those that you recommend.
I have a recommendation for you, it is UDDER CHOICE in Ephrata. They have sandwiches and lots of soups and their homemade ice cream. The ice cream is great. They also have breakfast, but we have never been there for breakfast.
I am also enjoying the videos from Ohio, because I hope to go there someday and will refer back to your videos. I know one place I want to stay at is the Carlisle Inn!

All of the food looked delicious. I would have really enjoyed the strawberry jam on the homemade rolls. A few weeks ago we flew out to Las Vegas to visit our daughter and son in law. Most places out there serve only fruit flavored tea instead of sweetened and unsweetened tea. It has been a long time since I have had shoofly pie. It looked so good!

Biscuit and jelly are the best, a small container is $6 and the large is $9 dollars. The mashed potatoes are so creamy.

You all need to come try Ina's pierogies in Lititz and then Fox Creamery for ice cream. Also Zig's bakery in Lititz best dinner rolls in the world. Also a fun store in Lititz, Outback Toy Store, all kinds of farm toys an awesome just to visit!
