Very Elegant and Historic I also liked the fireplaces with in the formal dining rooms . The food looked amazing that you both ordered ! ! The oil lamps were beautiful and lighting with in the restaurant was lovely . The pictures / paintings 🖼 were amazing through out the restaurant ! 😊🤗❤️🥰🍽
When our son went to Westchester University, we drove past this restaurant many times but never stopped. I always wondered what this place looked like. Thanks for the tour.
Living here in Lancaster county watching your videos I realize I have not done a lot of things,I know growing up in a town a little east of there, coatesville,pa,I traveled up and down route 30 many times, revere tavern was always an expensive place to eat, more a special occasion type place for us,there was always so much history traveling up and down the Lincoln highway from coatesville to paradise,so many places are now gone, remember a place further down towards gap, called walnut grove use to make homemade candies, brings back memories.,I’m glad not everything is gone from the history from here,I miss the days of dime stores, mom and pop stores,I’ll take those any day over the Walmarts and amazons .I envy how you guys are able to travel so much,I’m stuck at work with 3 weeks vacation a year, just not enough time to enjoy life, but watching your videos is a consolation of not being able to go myself,I look forward to your videos because they are so diverse always something different never boring no matter what the content, love john’s hats and T-shirts I’m a hat and T-shirt guy myself, and Bobbie you are pretty and very insightful and add a lot to the channel, never change
Totally agree with your opinion on the Revere Tavern … we visited about 1 year ago and really loved the place ! We enjoy watching your videos & seeing all the places you visit . 😃
My husband & I stayed at the hotel & ate here about 30 years ago. We loved it then heard it had suffered a fire. We live about an hour away so wouldn’t have known if it was rebuilt. Glad it was! So happy you shared with us. We will def go back!
WOW - this historic stone building was incredible and to know that thewas owned by James Buchanan is just so awesome. The food presenation was top notch. We enjoyed that John's crab cake didn't contain any fillers and that everything was well buttered. Another excellent video!
It is a beautiful building. John loved the Crab cakes. I liked how they made the food look so pretty on the plates. Thanks for watching and commenting 😎😎
J and B what a fabulous tavern you have found. The history behind it is amazing. It does remind me of the Dobbin House too. The menu was fabulous and the food looked incredible. Thank you for sharing this, and blessings always.
Beautiful restaurant. The meals looked amazing. I'm with John I don't use the lemon either on my seafood. Looking forward to your next visit there. Thank you two so much for your review.
Glad you enjoyed it. They have great prime rib tacos that they told us was the number 1 seller. And good looking burgers. We will get that a few months from now. 😎😎

We go to Lancaster a couple times a year and always stay at the Best Western behind this tavern. We have eaten here and enjoyed drinks at the bar. Always good.
Historic restaurants always add to the ambience of the place. Your entrees looked really good. Hope you guys had a great time. Keep up the good work. Your friend Mike.
We use to live in PA and drove past this place all the time on our way to another restaurant, our loss! Food looks wonderful! I’d enjoy what Bobbie ordered. We live in TN now but will have to take a ride up there soon, thank you for showing this!!!
It was very nice. Had to put music in it because it was so quiet. We were almost whispering to each other had to turn our voices up 100% 🤣 We were in the room with just one couple when we started out and you could even here the chair creak when we moved. Place is almost 300 years old you would love it. 😎😎
What a lovely place to eat, everything looked amazing and gosh how fun to be sitting in a place that is 300 years old, just to think about who has been there throughout the years, I'd love it because I love history. I sure enjoyed this video, thanks for bringing us along to such a wonderful piece of yesterday.
It is a beautiful building. John and I both like history. I didn't like history when I was growing up and my Dad would get mad because he loved it. He when to collage to be a history teacher. I wish he was still here so we could go to Historic places together now. Thanks for watching 😎😎
Love historical places and especially made into restaurants the food looks awesome just think of all the history and the people that was there before if only those walls could talk...
Thanks for this video! I’ve always wondered about this restaurant because I always go to Amish spots when I’m in this area. It all looked good. especially the cheesecake! The building is beautiful. Can’t wait for your Tavern review!
Beautiful building and landscaping, the food looked excellent too. It would be a nice place for a special celebration/occasion. Thanks for another great video👍
I notice by your receipt you were there on my 80th birthday. Those meals looked like they were great for a celebration especially John's as I love seafood. I lived years ago in the city Paul Revere rode through on his famous ride, Medford Massachusetts. What a beautiful restaurant it is and a return trip to try their other menu sounds good.
So nice to see how old buildings are saved.Again what beautiful landscaping. The food looked terrific. They had some great things on the menu too.Beautiful dining room and so clean looking.John you would love calico scallops .They are smaller but so sweet. The scallop season starts in October around here on Cape Cod.
My daughter had her wedding and reception in October at the Revere. The folks were great to work with, the food was great and the wedding was awesome. Glad you could dine there.
yum, a grilled lemon has extra good flavor and often, restaurants will put a little net over the lemon so when you squeeze it, seeds dont come out on your seafood. i love it. so, you can pass me the asparagus and lemon. lol. im cutting my carbs big time (and its working) so i made sure to have a piece of my home cooked catfish in front of me, before hitting the play button as i was pretty hungry, lol.

I love the history of this place and the food looks really good. That cheesecake is just the way my Momma used to make it, except she always made a homemade cherry sauce made from whole cherries. Yum 😋
Good afternoon John and Bobby I have been following your videos for a little while now. They are great information where to eat.I been going to Lancaster for a long time and you gave me some ideas now where to eat and go to.Thank you both for the great videos and information!!

HI GUYS, I LOVE THE HISTORIC PLACES, MAKES ME THINK A LOT. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. THE FOOD LOOKED DELICIOUS. THIS TIME I WILL GO WITH JOHN'S MEAL. I LOOOOVE SCALLOPS, JUST SO EXPENSIVE. I NEVER PUT LEMON OVER MY FISH, PREFER TO TASTE THE REAL THING, ALWAYS SEAR MY SCALLOPS IN BUTTER. THE CHEESECAKE LOOKED SO NICE, PERHAPS THEY CAN PUT THE BLUEBERRY TOPPING IN A LITTLE BOWL. THANK YOU FOR TAKING ME ALONG..... I HAVE THE SAME FISH PLATES (ONLY GLASS), MAKES THE DISH LOOK SO MUCH MORE ATTRATIVE. BE SAFE AND GOD BLESS, VAL PS CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE.😋
If you ever make to the Cincinnati area, go to the Purple Poulet just over the river in N KY. It's amazing! Get the Coconut cake for dessert. The place is amazing!
We want to go see this Karen especially the 50's show just never have enough time filming these videos. We film 3 a day when in this area. Makes it very hard because we are worn out at end of day. We will make time for it. 😎😎
We live a hop skip and a jump from Revere for over 30 years. We've only been there a few times since it's in our own backyard. Now after watching this, I wanna start going. If you're still in the area you should try Manor Buffet.
We used to have our family Christmas right there we would eat and then open up our gifts and everybody would go home there were times that we didn't think we would make it home because of all the snow but lived in Paradise so it was closer there is a lot you did Miss and there's a lot they've changed in there the menu it was always ham good ham smoked good ham yams green beans the old fashioned meals many years ago in the 1990s

In Bedford, PA there is a very historic tavern, Jean Bonnet Tavern (said to be haunted). Also, the Bedford Springs Resort is very famous and has a very historic past. I think you would find both locations very interesting considering your interest in history. We have eaten at the Revere Tavern and really enjoyed our experience. Thanks for vlogging such a variety of locations.
@@jbinthehills Yes it is, but maybe after that. I know you loved the place before it was sold, so I am interested in what you think once it is reopened. Thanks for all the great videos.
Love your videos… Do you’s guys call ahead to get special access before they open and ask for permission to film there? Keep up the Great Work!!! -Nick Giardiello
We never have. If a place opens at 11 we go in right at 11 and we film the insides first thing before people come in. We try not to show people in restaurants if we can. The hard part is if they open for breakfast and we do a lunch people are already inside so we try to go at 230 or 3 when most people are not inside. Good question. These restaurants have no idea what we’re doing unless they ask what are you doing with phone and we tell them. And we pay for our food we do not contact them and ask for free food from them. That’s why we show you the receipt to prove that. A video coming out this weekend does show us getting a free appetizer that we had no idea they were bringing us but in video we will explain how that happened. 😎😎
It was a visual masterpiece. Especially the early concert scenes. Didn't think Austin looked like Elvis but he did a great job. Hard to do Elvis life in one movie. Some facts were not perfect bit overall we enjoyed it. Thanks for comment. 😎😎
I think the Dobbin House is our. It is in Gettysburg and you go down the stairs That used to be a cellar. I always take a sweater when we go there because it is always very cool.😎😎
We will be in the Strasburg area in a month and saw your video on this place. I went to their web page and it stated that they are permanently closed.😢
We were just by it and it is closed. Still looks like it could open right back up but probably won't. Sad because it was very good and beautiful inside.😎😎
Revere's is now being closed up for good, not sure what will happen with Rainbow Theatre and the rest of the property. Sad times, lots of places here are locally in Lancaster County are closing up, one of the oldest taverns in the country with tons of history.
You don't have to. There we many people in there with shorts and t shirts like me. We didn't plan on doing this place so didn't have any other clothes in our suitcases. They have a tavern that many people were in eating hamburgers. 😎😎
A great restaurant with superb chefs in a historic old building. However, thanks to the heavy handed overaction by Facui, another small business bites the dust. I would love to see his pension! I think Obama said 'you didn't build that business, we did."

The food was excellent and it is a beautiful building. Unfortunately, the restaurant is no longer open.😎😎
Love the tavern and that picture on the wall of it. So wonderful to preserve history.
It is a beautiful building. Unfortunately we heard this restaurant closed.😎😎
I love when old places are preserved and modernized instead of knocking old buildings down and constructing new. Everything looked yummy.
Everything was so beautiful. Glad this stayed up probably because a President owned it is what we think. Loved this place. 😎😎

Do you dress up sometimes when you go out? This place looks kind of fancy. And amazing? Glad it was preserved.
Yes, sometimes we dress up. Unfortunately we heard this restaurant closed.😎😎
Sorry to see John did not try the asparagus. Lol
I know he should have. 😎😎
Thank you for telling us about the other places. We will put them on our list. Thanks for watching and commenting 😎😎
You guys need to do another review of the Revere Tavern since it has been sold.
I think the Bird In Hand is using that building until their restaurant gets rebuilt.😎😎
@@jbinthehills Yes it is, but maybe after that. I know you loved the place before it was sold, so I am interested in what you think once it is reopened. Thanks for all the great videos.
@@jebfowler1We appreciate you watching. 😎😎
I love lemon on seafood and steak.
Some people love it I just never have used it. Appreciate the comment. 😎😎
Menu looks great , thanks for showing it!
Off topic, but what did you guys think about the new Elvis movie??
It was a visual masterpiece. Especially the early concert scenes. Didn't think Austin looked like Elvis but he did a great job. Hard to do Elvis life in one movie. Some facts were not perfect bit overall we enjoyed it. Thanks for comment. 😎😎
Nice!!! Have you guys been here before? I heard it’s good!!! 💜💜💜
We have never been here before. It's always closed. Glad we came. 😎😎
Definitely on my bucket list!!! 👍
@@heathermanning5368 It was beautiful inside. 😎😎
I love crab cakes without filler!!! 😁
They were amazing. We will go back and try the sandwiches. 😎😎
Is this in Lancaster, PA? I think we pass this on our way to the beach.
This is. You need to stop but make sure they are open on the day you go through. Hope you enjoy it. 😎😎
so i have a hard question to ask out of all the historic places you guys have eaten at which one is your favorite and why?
I think the Dobbin House is our. It is in Gettysburg and you go down the stairs That used to be a cellar. I always take a sweater when we go there because it is always very cool.😎😎
Food looked good I wouldn't need to share my cheesecake. lol
That's a pretty big piece. It was very good though. Glad you enjoyed it. 😎😎
We will be in the Strasburg area in a month and saw your video on this place. I went to their web page and it stated that they are permanently closed.😢
We were just by it and it is closed. Still looks like it could open right back up but probably won't. Sad because it was very good and beautiful inside.😎😎
I love preserved buildings. I might have a problem choosing a meal. I thought the menu had too many fish entrees. I think it only had one chicken.
I wish they had more didn't chicken meals. Thanks for watching 😎😎
Revere's is now being closed up for good, not sure what will happen with Rainbow Theatre and the rest of the property. Sad times, lots of places here are locally in Lancaster County are closing up, one of the oldest taverns in the country with tons of history.
That is so sad. This was a great place to eat. Beautiful building. 😎😎
The restaurant is good
It was very good. 😎😎
You need to take a River sturnwheeler cruse and video tap it .
That would be nice. 😎😎
That looks like you need to dress up just eat there. Very nice.
You don't have to. There we many people in there with shorts and t shirts like me. We didn't plan on doing this place so didn't have any other clothes in our suitcases. They have a tavern that many people were in eating hamburgers. 😎😎
Sad that it is closing
It is sad they closed. The food was very good and it was a beautiful restaurant. 😎😎
It is my understanding that the restaurant closed its doors on October 8th.
We heard they closed. That is sad. The food was excellent. 😎😎
Kinda surprised they can stay profitable since they are closed most of the time.
I don't have enough staff right now. But hopefully they will soon. It is a great place to eat they would be so busy all the time.😎😎
Maybe not after eating an entire meal but I definitely could’ve destroyed that slice of cheesecake. Especially if that’s all I was eating.
We always share a dessert. I didn't finish my meal but John did.😎😎
@@jbinthehills maybe I just have a bigger appetite than you guys.
A great restaurant with superb chefs in a historic old building. However, thanks to the heavy handed overaction by Facui, another small business bites the dust. I would love to see his pension! I think Obama said 'you didn't build that business, we did."
Sad that this restaurant closed its doors. 😎😎
Pricy!
Nice place to go on a special occasion. It is a little pricey but you are getting good quality food.😎😎
That’s not rock and roll it’s heavy metal
Its Garth
They're so flaky!
I never knew there was a Paradise, Pennsylvania.
It looks So good; but I'm unable to have it.
Everything was very good. 😎😎
I wouldn't have a problem with short doors.
It's lovely!
That place looks nice ! Food looks great! Congrats on 17.1 k ( j think I said that right you know what I mean ! ) 🧡🤍Ren
Thank you.😎😎
