Hmmm, like the look of this one Ben, but since the specs are virtually the same as the Ed Stafford I think I'll rest content with what I've got already.... and on order!!

That's a perfect bushcraft knife! The only thing I would ask, is a 3mm thick blade, because that's where I like a scandi grind blade to be. Excellent knife Ben, Congratulations!!

Thanks a lot we can certainly make it in 3mm if you prefer that blade thickness. Just let us know.

The knife is gorgeous. I just have a couple questions, though.
One: Is it possible for me to get one without the Pirate emblem on the other side of the blade? I was thinkin if I’d put a motif of anything on the blade, I’d just put the Algiz rune or a Mjöllnir symbol on it.
Second question: Does AEB-L do a fairly ok job at striking sparks off a ferro rod? I’ve never had much experience with it for fire starting.

Thanks for the interest, sure we can certainly add custom etching to the blade for you. If you want to drop us a email and we can make one for you. AEB-L works great with a ferro rod as I leave the back edge square for ferro rod use. Drop me a line on info@benandloisorford.com many thanks cheers Ben

nice knife but the price is very high

Thanks glad you like it. Unfortunately as these are hand made individually not in a factory and using these expensive materials we can’t make it much cheaper.
Unlike factory made knives this is a unique piece if heirloom quality. Thanks 👍

@@BenOrford Sandy's Jacklore knives are also very high quality hand made knives using quality materials and his knives are a lot cheaper than the price your asking for your knives !!!! York knives, same, very high quality hand built knives and cheaper than your asking prices. Only R. Mears knife is priced more than yours. You are a typical ripoff merchant who wants more money than there worth, GREED comes to mind.
