Or the narcissistic mom playing best friends with their daughters rather than parent.

My narc mother had him at 16 & his grandmother raised him. She knows he is an abuser, he curses her off. She don’t want to deal with him so she pawns him off

Sometimes it's easier to just give in.
And they are scared of them.
Those are 2 of my guesses

Lol!! "Rose colored glasses" come in all shapes and sizes.
(Was hoping you'd give another skit..... those are great!)
Even when the dark empty shell, is an adult.... say..... almost 40 yrs..... and the parent is pushing 70..... denial is all they have...... It's sad yet inexcusable. Genetic dynamics.
    NO CONTACT. Period.

My ex's mom will proudly say, to me, she is the only person he doesn't fight with because she doesn't go around "purposely" making him mad (i.e. ask him questions). She tells her own husband (his dad) to back off and leave him alone.

Eghads! Apparently, the former mother in law neglected to "pop" her son off her breast....
      Parental enmeshment is disgusting.

    To sum up :
    1) they don't know who their children actually are
2)the parents are just as horrible people(or worse) than the child
3)they're afraid of their own children
    4) they're embarrassed by their children

I was telling my ex Fiance this about the codependency bs with his mom 😅 he spoke so highly of her so I was not expecting what I was getting into when we ended up staying with her and I peeped who she really was real quick 😒

I got called a fat bitch for pointing out his codependency with his mother. His mother still does his laundry for him at 26. She buys him everything and isn’t pushing him to get a job or be in any way financially independent. Some weird stuff going on that’s for sure.

My narcissistic wife's mother told her that it was ok that she told a married man that she was physically attracted to him

Oooooo I cannot STAND when they enable them Omg !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is one of the WORST FEELINGS EVER in life. You can go to them and say, “he pushed somebody off of a building today” and they’ll be like, “well what did YOU do to make him do that” Lmfao 🤣 The enabling doesn’t stop yall. Not in their 30’s, 40’s of even 70’s lmfao never stops. So quit while you’re ahead bc you’ll lose a lot of years trying to make them understand and care. ‼️💯

Would a covert narc be bothered if he sees his IG followers go down?
