I was telling someone this the other day! Being silent gives them more of an injury than cursing them out. When you curse them out they take it as a compliment because they think you're upset because you care.
After my narcissistic cousin stole some money from me, she then tried to gaslight me by saying I was greedy for expecting the money. I had an epiphany. Instead of yelling at her and cursing her out, I simply ghosted her. It threw her completely off balance. Since then, 362 days ago, she has attempted various hoovering tactics, all of which have failed. With at least one person she attempted to use as a flying monkey, this person saw right through her behavior. Narcissists expose themselves if given enough rope to. I didn't have to tell this person how my cousin is.

Same here. He has already limited our "physical" contact to 1/month. Literally, 1 dinner or whatever per month, past 3 months. But, the daily conversations and text messages have been verbally abusive daily still. I told him 4 days ago I am really sick and need to go to the doctor. He didn't even read my texts til the next day on his lunch break! He only lives 15 minutes away! So, I said ef it! And blocked him on everything! I'm not getting anything from him but Abuse 3 months straight! Literally, not a single day has gone by without some form of Abuse! I may be sick as a dog, but at least nobody yelled at me today! Nobody Insulted me! Nobody Cut me off! Nobody belittled me! Nobody demeaned me! Nobody showed me Apathy! I got to sleep when & how ever long I wanted! I'm Really enjoying this Quality Silent time with myself! Think I might carry into 2025!

Silence can be healing! I noticed that whenever I'd go silent on her, I'd become stronger. I'd feel more connected to the people and environment around me. I could focus, concentrate. That "brain fog" would slowly begin to fade. Nothing ever felt real with her. It felt like I was in a dream the whole time. A bad one!

I can see his pattern to control me. To elicit my reaction. When I kept silent, he became more agressive like pulling hair, pinched my hand. Silence helps me see clearly.

@@Ohhhoneyyy yes we all have traits. But it's a spectrum. Not everyone is on the same level. Those on the higher end usually need a lot of will to control it, and only can if they are self-aware and willing.
Silence is power. They will crash out when they can't control accessing you. It's the best advice I have ever heard. Healing has been so much easier when I disengaged and cut him completely off.
I went no contact for the third time I see a pattern now if you break no contact they will treat you worse each time they temporarily act as if everything is fine and after two weeks they'll breadcrumb you it's not worth it the best thing you can do is stay no contact and heal! And the healing process is not easy I have chronic fatigue syndrome and cptsd 😢
I was with him three years ges older even movef countries for him i couldn't adapt there he broke up with me before my birthday when i was back in my country denied cheating got himself some new supply older than me less attractive hes lately asking mutual friends about me where i live what i do stalks me on fake Facebook account i blocked him but unblocked later he never blocked me. Has been so hard healing i sometimes miss him and hate him so much for al the shit he done to me mentally and emotionally i feel i hav ptsd and i really loved him so its still hard for me after six months separation we where very close but i dont miss walking on eggshells
Yes it definitely makes them seek revenge. I went silent and no contact for 5 months and he wouldn’t give up he kept blowing me up and asking can he see me because he knew I was moving to a different state. He took the nude photos and videos he had of me and posted them on only fans and I didn’t know intel I recently got back in contact with him and because I had my guard up and wasn’t trying to let stuff go back to normal that’s when he told me that he put them on only fans. I was so angry & After that I blocked him off everything I want nothing to do with him and will not open that door again.

There is no point attempting to have an adult conversation with an established liar, and someone who uses what I share against me. So I stopped talking to him. It's much nicer talking to sane reasonable adults.
Lee, the reasoN went no contact and silent is because of his mistreatment. The last conversation I had with him was through text and it ended with his passive aggressive response and that's what got me frustrated. Something I appreciate and find unique about your channel and style of communicating is your ability to weave humor into a topic and experience that has caused so many of us trauma and pain. Laughter is one of those things that leaves us in the midst of the chaos caused by the abusive person and sometimes feels impossible to do even after blocking and going no contact. I laugh at a lot of the random stuff you say, like the thing about siren songs and clothes flying off. I’ve even found myself laughing when you start laughing so hard you can’t finish a sentence! Being able to laugh and find humor about the shitty, awful things feels like healing. Thank you. 🙏🏼 💗

I was in the same situation buddy. I was constantly blocked but she would still contact me when she wanted. Finally I blocked her like she wanted. The healing process starts now

Omg I am going thru this right now with a family member. We live in the same house and this last argument was the final straw. The total disregard for my boundaries, I have had enough. So, I have gone totally silent. This family member also immediately told their children to not listen to me anymore. I thought, what a fool. They are children. I love those kids. But this person is so self focused and doesn’t care about anyone but themselves even to the destruction of a healthy familial relationship between their kids and me. So, I have gone totally silent. This has provoked a totally different response, just as you have spoken… they are totally LOUD now. Ridiculously so, at 2 and 3 o’clock in the morning, slamming doors, speaking super loud on the phone to others, speaking loud to the children. As soon as I leave the room they lower their voices, close doors quietly, and go back to “normal” speech. But if they know I am anywhere in the vicinity, it’s a megaphone, loud, fake laughter. Omg. Really? Clown world. 🤡 😭

Giving him the silent treatment helps but then he'll blow up and accuse me of being a jerk because I won't communicate with him. I always give in after a bad argument. Even when I try to walk away, he just keeps barking at me. He knows what to say to push my buttons and then I react. I feel so powerless because the house belongs to him too. Our father passed and left the house to both of us. I want to leave, just gotta figure out how. Right now I'm just worn out and frazzled from being a caregiver to my parents and trying to get back to work again. Hate this.

When you said parental alienation. My ex texted me that over a week ago. He's been out of my son's life for 7 years. He came back this year saying he's christian and a changed man. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Like ok let's see your fruit. He came out to visit 6xs. But was stilling trying to get back with me. I've been single for 7 years. He was my last relationship. I told him I'm still healing and not ready to get into a relationship. Let's just be friends for now. I still felt like he was pressuring me into a relationship. He got mad and asked how long does it take to heal. Well, idk there's not a clock to it. He said, "Quit living in the past." He went silent and I found out he was talking to another girl. I don't care. I just didn't appreciate being lied to. So now he's distant. He said he didn't need to call our son every day because our son doesn't like talking on the phone. So he will go weeks without reaching out and then randomly blow up my phone. Then talk to me about his life. Last time he called I ignored it. I hadn't heard from him in a month. He only video calls me on Facebook. He called 9xs. Got mad. Said see this is why I stay away. Then he called again then messaged me saying what a joke and blocks me. Then calls my phone # and texts me saying he's requesting a DNA test and then taking me to court and tells me so I should be careful what I do. Honestly, I'm not sure what to do now. Any advice? Idk if he's a narcissist or just a selfish grown boy.

My narcissists were my mother and sisters. I went totally no contact in 2018, I admit, it was hard at the start but the peace I’ve experienced since then has been wonderful! I haven’t had contact with them since then.

After ghosting my narcissist cousin, I left the door open for her to unfriend me on FB. She couldn't handle my silence after several efforts to hoover, gaslight, a smear campaign, trying to enlist flying monkeys. Finally, after about 10 months, she got the picture and unfriended me. I promptly blocked her.
The thing about me is that when my feelings get hurt badly enough, my throat chakra all but closes along with my heart. I’ve lost work over not being about to speak on que. I’ve learned to regulate it more now.

Yes! I just had his child and it was the same thing until he wanted to sneak out in the middle of the night and early morning… when he was done sneaking he’d call me 10x a day on video smh I finally said enough is enough
Praise God. I have gone no contact with my narc ex and have tried to leave before but was hooverd back. He claimed when I was silent last time I was the abusive one and was giving him the silent treatment. But it was an attempt to heal from the emotional, verbal, spiritual,physical abuse. This time I'm keeping my sanity.
I got cheated on by a narcissist but good thing I was with him for 8 months and his main girl was for 5 years and he cheated in and out almost the entire time. Great video, A month ago, my five-year relationship came to an end. I really can't stop thinking about the love of my life, who made the decision to leave me. I do that all the time, my hubby tries his best to do everything he can to push my buttons an I try not to react.thats something I need to work on when he pushing my buttons not to say something or react. My adult kids helping me by sign language to me to stop. They understand more than I do. I do my best to concentrate on my kids and life and these videos to help me. it's really sad dealing with such type of people in a romantic love relationship. I am a victim and i dont feel ashamed to voice it out, after the trauma, abuse and shame showed towards and against me. The love booming, attention, genuine love, spending together all ceased in one day and never was restored. Until after going through rejected, doubted myself, my worth, and sanity for few weeks, i decided to tell me myself i am not the problem, and that i did everything as a genuine and healthy person should do in a relationship and it wasn't appreciated but took for granted. Today, am listening and watching this vid and i feel blessed.

I have been no contact for a month now I have goid days and vad days. He has not missed a day in trying to contact me with fake numbers or emails. I am careful to respond to any one to stay away from him. I feel so much better and stronger.
He seems to be just fine , not bothered at all. I know I should be happy but it also stings. He changed so much...he's unrecognizable, a complete stranger. We've known each other for over 10 years..together for about half that time. I feel like I'm never going to be ok.
They send you flowers. And when I remained silent. He broke up with me and kicked me out of our house in the middle of a cold winter night with nowhere to go. Then cuss you out in a few emails. He didn't have my new cell number. Then ask you to come back. Once I went in and moved my stuff out 2 days later while he was at work. I got maybe 1 email asking me to come back. Then many just asking for the utility information. A few months later, I decided I still loved him. I reached out to fix things like he always did after arguments. We reconnected over a 2 month period. Then he ghosted me. That's what happens when you try to heal and figure out what you want. To be fair, I should have communicated that I needed space. But he's gone now and I dont think he will ever be back.

The garbage relationship with the toxic people. They see a power struggle in a relationship which is messed up. They don't see relationship as a place to grow but as a place to assert control or sometimes get themselves propped up.
It's totally okay for THEM to go slient though, and you know that it doesn't just happen with "partners" either! I recall people expecting, or pressuring, me to do things, yet suddenly stopped all contact whenever THEY felt like it. 🤬

They always NEED the last word, so I went to his house to get some things I left, and went ahead and let him have at me. I just looked at the ground, listened honestly, and said nothing. He yelled, "YOU BE ASHLEY!" and closed the door. My behavior was "despicable, skanky, selfish, manipulative"-whole nine yards. Then me just being me is supposed to be horrible? Shameful? Bad? No-I'm not going to see me just being me as horrible so YOU feel better. I said nothing, walked away, don't care to see him again, but at least he got in his last raging discard! 😂

I was with someone who used to blow up my phone when I missed the 1st call, until I receive the call and accused me of having someone else. My reassurance was of no use.
When I go silent towards him he suddenly wants to buy me little surprises, go out to eat, cuddle up and and go with me to just go to the market. He won't leave me alone to even go to the bathroom. He claimed that when I go silent he gets scared that I'm about to leave him.
Narcs do any and everything to get you to argue with them. Block them, their friends and their family members. My ex was following me and showed up at my house. I called the police and explained to the police who this person is and how he is obviously stalking me. I was talking loud enough for the neighbors to hear. He was so embarrassed. That was 5 years ago and thank God I've never seen him again.🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Him and I are playing the silent rage game with each other and it's so sick to me. I feel like we are a couple of kids in school acting all childish with each other. I figured hey, you don't want to talk to me, fine, I don't want to talk to you either. You don't want to call me, then I don't want to call you either. I have been staying in no contact like a boss and today is 274 days of no contact. Being toxic sober from him and his damn drama. I hope she's enjoying her cheating little surprise. Let me tell you something. I sleep throughout the night, my stomach doesn't hurt anymore, I don't have headaches, panic attacks anymore either. Let him rot in his own misery. I don't care either.
I stop talking because I got tired of going around in circles. So I just grey rocked to the point he snapped and has been in jail for 3months . My life is upside down but I have peace knowing he not here to yell and punch walls and act a fool daily.

Well, I was real mad to my narc partner bc he had lost my card! Instead of him apologizing and take the responsibility, he said he did not do on purpose! He got home, I was still ver upset at him and he came calling me amor and I said; I don’t want to talk to you! He grabbed me by my neck and threw me at the wall with our 3 year old son next to us and my daughter in her room. He yelled at me and pointed his finger at me saying to never say that again and pushed me back to the wall. I did not want to cry or say anything to this coward so my teen daughter wouldn’t hear us. When we got down stairs I cried and screamed very load and I told him he does not have the right to touch me and that he does the same to me!
I have been divorced & silent for 3 to 4 years .after 14yrs of marriage . My silence and peace is for me. It has nothing to do with him. I have been through and still in therapy. I feel therapy is a way of life for me. This is the healthiest I have ever been. His hurt feelings, what he thinks & what he does is None of my business. I’m seeing beautiful again! 💕🌺💕

Silence can be healing! I noticed that whenever I'd go silent on her, I'd become stronger. I'd feel more connected to the people and environment around me. I could focus, concentrate. That "brain fog" would slowly begin to fade. Nothing ever felt real with her. It felt like I was in a dream the whole time. A bad one!

I went no contact for the third time I see a pattern now if you break no contact they will treat you worse each time they temporarily act as if everything is fine and after two weeks they'll breadcrumb you it's not worth it the best thing you can do is stay no contact and heal! I was with him three years ges older even movef countries for him i couldn't adapt there he broke up with me before my birthday when i was back in my country denied cheating got himself some new supply older than me less attractive hes lately asking mutual friends about me where i live what i do stalks me on fake Facebook account i blocked him but unblocked later he never blocked me. Has been so hard healing i sometimes miss him and hate him so much for al the shit he done to me mentally and emotionally i feel i hav ptsd and i really loved him so its still hard for me after six months separation we where very close but i dont miss walking on eggshells

Yes it definitely makes them seek revenge. I went silent and no contact for 5 months and he wouldn’t give up he kept blowing me up and asking can he see me because he knew I was moving to a different state. He took the nude photos and videos he had of me and posted them on only fans and I didn’t know intel I recently got back in contact with him and because I had my guard up and wasn’t trying to let stuff go back to normal that’s when he told me that he put them on only fans. I was so angry & After that I blocked him off everything I want nothing to do with him and will not open that door again.

Something I appreciate and find unique about your channel and style of communicating is your ability to weave humor into a topic and experience that has caused so many of us trauma and pain. Laughter is one of those things that leaves us in the midst of the chaos caused by the abusive person and sometimes feels impossible to do even after blocking and going no contact. I laugh at a lot of the random stuff you say, like the thing about siren songs and clothes flying off. I’ve even found myself laughing when you start laughing so hard you can’t finish a sentence! Omg I am going thru this right now with a family member. We live in the same house and this last argument was the final straw. The total disregard for my boundaries, I have had enough. So, I have gone totally silent. This family member also immediately told their children to not listen to me anymore. I thought, what a fool. They are children. I love those kids. But this person is so self focused and doesn’t care about anyone but themselves even to the destruction of a healthy familial relationship between their kids and me. So, I have gone totally silent. This has provoked a totally different response, just as you have spoken… they are totally LOUD now. Ridiculously so, at 2 and 3 o’clock in the morning, slamming doors, speaking super loud on the phone to others, speaking loud to the children. As soon as I leave the room they lower their voices, close doors quietly, and go back to “normal” speech. But if they know I am anywhere in the vicinity, it’s a megaphone, loud, fake laughter. Omg. Really? Clown world. 🤡 😭

Giving him the silent treatment helps but then he'll blow up and accuse me of being a jerk because I won't communicate with him. I always give in after a bad argument. Even when I try to walk away, he just keeps barking at me. He knows what to say to push my buttons and then I react. I feel so powerless because the house belongs to him too. Our father passed and left the house to both of us. I want to leave, just gotta figure out how. When you said parental alienation. My ex texted me that over a week ago. He's been out of my son's life for 7 years. He came back this year saying he's christian and a changed man. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Like ok let's see your fruit. He came out to visit 6xs. But was stilling trying to get back with me. I've been single for 7 years. He was my last relationship. I told him I'm still healing and not ready to get into a relationship. Let's just be friends for now. I still felt like he was pressuring me into a relationship. He got mad and asked how long does it take to heal. Well, idk there's not a clock to it. He said, "Quit living in the past." He went silent and I found out he was talking to another girl. I don't care. I just didn't appreciate being lied to. So now he's distant. He said he didn't need to call our son every day because our son doesn't like talking on the phone. So he will go weeks without reaching out and then randomly blow up my phone. Then talk to me about his life. Last time he called I ignored it. I hadn't heard from him in a month. He only video calls me on Facebook. He called 9xs. Got mad. Said see this is why I stay away. Then he called again then messaged me saying what a joke and blocks me. Then calls my phone # and texts me saying he's requesting a DNA test and then taking me to court and tells me so I should be careful what I do. Honestly, I'm not sure what to do now. Any advice? Idk if he's a narcissist or just a selfish grown boy.

My narcissists were my mother and sisters. I went totally no contact in 2018, I admit, it was hard at the start but the peace I’ve experienced since then has been wonderful! I haven’t had contact with them since then.

I do that all the time, my hubby tries his best to do everything he can to push my buttons an I try not to react.thats something I need to work on when he pushing my buttons not to say something or react. it's really sad dealing with such type of people in a romantic love relationship. I am a victim and i dont feel ashamed to voice it out, after the trauma, abuse and shame showed towards and against me. The love booming, attention, genuine love, spending together all ceased in one day and never was restored. Until after going through rejected, doubted myself, my worth, and sanity for few weeks, i decided to tell me myself i am not the problem, and that i did everything as a genuine and healthy person should do in a relationship and it wasn't appreciated but took for granted. Today, am listening and watching this vid and i feel blessed.

Then ask you to come back. Once I went in and moved my stuff out 2 days later while he was at work.
I got maybe 1 email asking me to come back. Then many just asking for the utility information.
A few months later, I decided I still loved him. I reached out to fix things like he always did after arguments.
We reconnected over a 2 month period. Then he ghosted me.
That's what happens when you try to heal and figure out what you want. To be fair, I should have communicated that I needed space. But he's gone now and I dont think he will ever be back.

They always NEED the last word, so I went to his house to get some things I left, and went ahead and let him have at me. I just looked at the ground, listened honestly, and said nothing. He yelled, "YOU BE ASHLEY!" and closed the door. My behavior was "despicable, skanky, selfish, manipulative"-whole nine yards. Then me just being me is supposed to be horrible? Shameful? Bad? Narcs do any and everything to get you to argue with them. Block them, their friends and their family members. My ex was following me and showed up at my house. I called the police and explained to the police who this person is and how he is obviously stalking me. I was talking loud enough for the neighbors to hear. He was so embarrassed. Let me tell you something. I sleep throughout the night, my stomach doesn't hurt anymore, I don't have headaches, panic attacks anymore either. Let him rot in his own misery. I don't care either.
I stop talking because I got tired of going around in circles. So I just grey rocked to the point he snapped and has been in jail for 3months . My life is upside down but I have peace knowing he not here to yell and punch walls and act a fool daily.
He pulled that cold shoulder crap with me and I ignored his petty ass right back. Got into more hobbies and engaged with my friends and loved ones. He couldn't stand it so he cheated then tried to blame everyone else for his dirty dick. He'd go cold and withholding and I took the space for myself to shine.
Been no contact for over 4 years. So glad my narcissistic demon never contacts me. The thing of it: I've been smeared and lied about, and the narcissist flying monkeys were trying to get me to reach out to her, trying to guilt me, saying she's your daughter, you cant do this to her... The heck I can't, Her actions stressed out my husband, her father, so bad that it killed him. She destroyed me beyond repair. It hurts like Hell, she's no child of mine. Im DONE.. Shes dead to me.
Well, I was real mad to my narc partner bc he had lost my card! Instead of him apologizing and take the responsibility, he said he did not do on purpose! He got home, I was still ver upset at him and he came calling me amor and I said; I don’t want to talk to you! He grabbed me by my neck and threw me at the wall with our 3 year old son next to us and my daughter in her room. He yelled at me and pointed his finger at me saying to never say that again and pushed me back to the wall. I did not want to cry or say anything to this coward so my teen daughter wouldn’t hear us. When we got down stairs I cried and screamed very load and I told him he does not have the right to touch me and that he does the same to me!
I have been divorced & silent for 3 to 4 years .after 14yrs of marriage .
My silence and peace is for me.
It has nothing to do with him.
I have been through and still in therapy. I feel therapy is a way of life for me.
This is the healthiest I have ever been.

I wanted to talk for so many months but you can never have serious conversations with these people. it is always draining and leads nowhere. I was always "the one with an attitude" and "always complaining". now tell me why this narc is trying to reach out to me? lol like these people are really sick in the head. one thing about me, I dont play about my blocking game. if he couldnt appreciate my presence, ima let him enjoy my absence.

He scared of the rejection from you. Let them ppl know that you don't talk to him and that he just wants to harass you.
