Hey Raine 😊 Interesting observations! How did you discover that your hair hates glycerin in your shampoos and conditioners? What about leave in conditioners? The LCO works better for me as well. @@jasmines.2829 I would wonder why my hair would keep drying out, then thats when I started paying attention to the ingredients. Hi Khadijah, on the matter of washing, my high porosity hair doesn't do well when I wash it weekly,i.e it breaks easily. I just wash it once a month and it has flourished. 😀
Luv these tips❣️ Especially the one about the frequency of shampooing. Once I moved from weekly to every other week, the amount shedding decreased. I also do more protective styles during the winter. Using quality butters & oils to do flat twists keeps my hair moist all way to the tip. The more I wear my hair out & loose, the faster it dries out in my crown area. That spot is more high porosity than my other areas. Then I have to steam my hair monthly to replace moisture the cold air & styling products have sucked out🌺
I know ppl may be mad about this, but since New Years I've been deep conditioning my high-po hair weekly, before I wash it and it seems like my hair is totally cool with it! I think of it like a beast mode pre-poo and so far, it's working for me!
