You can also eat kohlrabi leaves. My first intro to kohlrabi was with a haddock and brown butter sauce. The kohlrabi was in a green apple salad. It added the most delicious refreshing touch to the rich brown butter sauce. I think it is a hidden gem vegetable.

I guess in our region (Asia) we call this knol khol. Usually we make this as a curry. But this was a vegetable I never loved to have with my meals. In this video I heard a word "earthy" and to know what this earthy flavour I divided to make this as you mentioned.
It was so delicious. I think this is the perfect way to have this. Adding Apple and yoghurt make this so delicious. Actually I didn't have any leaves with me. Anyway it was great!

I've only ever had it raw. I slice it thinly and eat like chips, despite being raw, with, what's it called, humus... yes. stick slice of kohlrabi into humus, and eat while watching a movie or something. it feels like you're eating crap, but you're not, it may even be healthy.
Also, am I weird for liking granny smith, like, for eating? I've noticed that it's recommended for cooking, so I'm confused, maybe it's regarded as horrible eating apple, but I prefer it to sweet and dry apples, I don't know. It's my fav. granny smith, and viljamovka pear (serbian variety used for alcoholic beverages and also the only edible pear in my experience, just the right amount of soft, sweet, doesn't go from rock solid to mush in matter of seconds) - sorry adhdigression, I actually wanted to say something else..
I don't know, I forgot, but I'll try this and if I don't forget, I'll be back with comments - do you just eat it as salad, or with something?

I think you’re right, citrus juicer is a perfectly good name. I sure do hope the bartender’s term for it doesn’t have any racist connotation, as it is widely used. It might be one of those old terms that just needs to go. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I will be more thoughtful with my choice of words. 💜
