welcome to kelantan...i am from kelantan but now staying in Pahang. i still go crazy over the food when i am back in kelantan. Make sure both of u try everything there. somebody has suggested all the foods that u should try. u are right ... "Kelantan FOOD IS dangerous".
Jimmy...the one you eat is called telur sotong...it is not a fish egg..but a squid egg..very nice..normally you can find at most Nasi Kandar restaurant..
kelantan and sometimes terengganu food are well-known for being sweeter than how other states cook it :D
P.S: the egg jimmy ate at 9:20 and 10:15 are both squid egg (telur sotong not telur ikan) but different types
you must feel overwhelmed by kelantan because they speak different dialect from your standard Bahasa malaysia but luckily kelantanese are very friendly and accommodating

Although English is taught in school, it is not widely used as majority of the population is Malay. So start learning a few more Malay words to make your adventure a little bit easier and fun. Don't worry they're as friendly as every other Malaysians you have met.
ehh biasa tengok dkt annisa ivanna je muka ni hahaha... kuat panas line situh.
But bear in mind that kelantanese malay may not be what ichang and Jimmy were used to during their past visits to Penang and KL. Kelantanese is a whole new language of its own! 🤣🤣🤣

Yup. Even if the Kelantanese speaks English, it will be a new experience for Jimmy and iChang. I don't mean every Kelantanese though. There's one Makcik in Pasar Khadijah who speaks good English.
Yay! Itadikimasu IChang and Jimmy!!! Nasi Kukus Kelate is 'sedak do'oh'!!! (sedapness).

Happy to see iChang and Jimmy have a taste of my hometown food. Kelantanese dialect very different with BM and it's not your fault if you fail to understand it. For example: Udang ( prawns ) we said udey. Our words sometimes short a bit from BM.
Since you guys are in Kelantan, take this opportunity to eat and eat and eat in Kelantan, as the foods there are cheap, tasty, and very authentic! Suggestion: Nasi Kerabu, Nasi Dagang, Nasi Air Dingin, Nasi Berlauk, Sup 'Gearbox', Nasi Ulam, Cek Mek Molek (type of kuih) . And if you guys enjoy kaya butter toast, try Roti Titab (Kopitiam Kita), its slightly different version of a normal toast. **Hungry** Enjoy your stay in Kelantan!
Cek Mek. Bukan cek mek molek.
@@mrlukmanwan3913 cek mek molek pun ye jgak.. sama je kuih nya
@@norhafizudindin6912 'cek mek' nama kuih. 'molek' perkataan yg membawa maksud = bagus, terbaik, dll.
Nama kuih tu hanya cek mek. Perkataan molek kadang3x org luar letak sbb mereka hnya tahu perkataan molek.
Juga dipanggil cek mek molek, sbb perkataan 'Mek' sinonim dngn wanita, jadi seperti yg digembar gemburkan wanita Kelantan ni cantik mereka letak 'molek'. Maka jadi lh cek mek, dan molek sbb kata sebelumnya Mek (wanita).

I can't wait
Hihihi
both kuih seri muka and akok are addictive. glad you both like them!
My husband is from kelantan. Everytime I go back to Kelantan, I will spend most of the time eating kelantanese food. Same goes to my husband, every time we go back to my hometown in penang, he will spend all days hunting for nasi kandar. 🤣
Wow, iChang! The first meal in KB and you had 2 plates of rice😲😲 Must be very nice food and very hungry 😁
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video. I'm quite surprised that u guys haven't had d kueh sri muka earlier.
Nasi kukus, if I'm not mistaken, isn't a kelantanese food. Nasi kerabu is more authentic kelantanese. Others like laksam n nasi dagang r also popular in d states of east coast.
I'm glad I've mentioned nasi kerabu to u in this video.
I hope you get to explore kelantan kueh because kelantan people really like sweet stuff so we have a lot of variety kueh. That's why, our dishes like gulai or sambal tend to sweeter than other state. Me as a kelantanese, sometimes found kueh that i never eaten before. So don't be afraid to try our kueh, because you not going find it anywhere else.
btw about kueh seri muka, sometimes kelantanese have their own name for certain things but it's totally the same thing, we called seri muka as pulut.
Pandai betul sudah makan pakai tangan..lagi terasa sedapnya 😋
You can find a lot of kuih type in Kelantan especially when ramadhan...the rare kuih is like "nekbak" "akok" n so on
And one more thing... Kelantan food sometimes is very sweet
I thought that akok was very common in kelantan, you can find it even not in Ramadan month
@@pudinichigo91 hahaha..sorry my bad...I'm tried to mention nekbak...but type it together..hehe

Please try nasi kerabu with daging bakar (grilled meat). It is our speciality in kelantan! You need to taste it!
Oh yeah!! 😋😋😋👍
it's great to watch both of them wholeheartedly enjoy the nasi kukus. guess what, that's not even the no 1 ranking nasi kukus in KB (of course different people'd have different preference) but for the locals, the champion Nasi Kukus is Nasi Kukus Zaeman (lunch); and nasi kukus Warisan @ nasi kukus Public Bank (dinner). few hundred yards east of ths restaurant is another popular nasi campur place. They cater for late night crowd (10pm onwards, until probably 6am or azan subuh, whichever comes first :)
This is the Nasi Kukus Warisan depan Public Bank. The just relocated to this new place.
hahhaha..muka Jimmy terkejut bila Ichang kata ok untuk kuih..😂😂😂

Have to explore more in kelantan food. I think not limited this dish. IChang and Jimmy must look out more. I think you can do it. Cheers
When you say that the “kueh akok” remind you of pudding, i can relate to that cz both are also made of egg and brown sugar. So good to see that both of you are enjoying your time in Malaysia.. have a safe and memorable trip! ✌️✌️✌️

Hi dears that kuih seri muka.every country got different name for it..
Talam pulut,seri muka,kuih talam,pulut talam,kuih lapis talam,talam pulut hijau.
I think the one that Jimmy eat after the 'telur ikan' was 'lala'. Something like oyster but people get it from the river. And 1st kuih that both of you eat was 'akok' a tradisional kuih, also known as 'akok telur' or 'akok kedut'. For the 2nd one is 'kuih seri muka'. Arghh! Missing Kelantan already. 😂
i think is was telur sotong. the part yang cakap oyster tu maybe yang belum jadi telur. orang panggil susu sotong. texture licin

Be it Kelantan or any other states in Malaysia you will still enjoy if not more of your adventure as most Malaysian will be equally happy to ensure your visit a success and a memorable ones, best wishes.
Kelantan Nasi kerabu & Nasi kukus are always my favourite.
min 14:56 it is Akok (Kelantan traditional and the most iconic kueh), made from eggs, flour, brown sugar.. to get better taste and mouth exploding the ratio eggs must be than the others.. the Akok is sweet, it is normal in Kelantan hahaha..
"pulut" is sticky rice. Ichang is right, kuih seri muka.
What I like is that they always finish all the food. Bcoz some RUclipsrs don’t finish their food but they finish all so it’s fulfilling to watch how they appreciate food
Finally...the food is so nice...please enjoy the cuisine..in kelantan..
