One thing that i love about this channel is Ichang and Jimmy actually brought Malaysians together to appreciate our own culture, and seeing all these comments made me feel like we are really living in a harmonious country, thus make me feel really proud to say that i am Malaysian. Thanks Ichang n Jimmy ❤
it is the politicians that divide us using religion and race, this is to enable their absolute control over us.
Ya... We Msian are united as a whole, we always helps n look after one another. It is only those politicians always wanna divide us n insert differences between us, in order to get votes n continue to corrupt our rich resources for themselves n family.Malaysia always the Best...
true. They visit places that i would never look twice. their channel made mereview my choices
I like how the both of you actually tip the goreng pisang seller after they served you with all the free food samples. I'm sure they're appreciative of your gesture too. Thanks for sharing your food experience to the locals and to all the international foodie community out there!
Mamak fella could barely smile, but behind that hardness got a good heart the way he made sure you guys treat yourself well with the food. And Jimmy's reaction is so over the top, hahahaha, glad you found another culinary jewel of Malaysia.
1 thing I learned from kedah people is their hospitality, very kind. they will feed u with everything they have
9:44 - each rice has their own voice. I still remember my infant years when my mom insisted me to finish each and every rice served coz if I leave only 1 grain, the rice will cry. That rice will visit me in my dream at night and questions me why didn't I eat it? I never want to be question by a rice in my dream so I will completely finish each of the rice serves....until now (due to the discipline). I pass the story to my children and they seems to be afraid to be haunted by rice in their dream as well. Hahaha
Translation from makcik:" my children love Korea." 😂 They easily think of Korea when heard you guys are from Japan. In Alor Setar there's not many foreigners around, so mak cik & pak cik were a bit excited. Hope you guys have tried Yasmeen as well, and also hidden chinese curry fish head.
Btw Nasi lemak Royale ard had a few branches in KL.
Ichang bukan ke Japanese?
Er they are from japan. Originally. They got into malaysia from hong kong
Both of ichang and jimmy already told them that they are from Japan. The makcik said her child loves Korea. What comes to my mind is she means her child loves K-drama or K-pop. Probably she doesn't really know the difference between Japan and K-drama or K-pop.
Probably cause i-Chang & Jimmy speaks in Kansai dialect, and the makcik can't tell the difference of Korean and Japanese.
@@ggbrother8015 Typo 😝
Not many Malaysian know how to appreciate rice itself. We likely will comment about the lauk only. Good job iChang and Jimmy highlighting the kome and gohan deliciousness 👍👍👍
My gosh! What Jimmy's got piled up on his plate is as high as Mt Fuji 😄. I'm impressed you guys cleared everything you ordered, and then went to top up with pisang goreng, keledek goreng and donut. 👍🏽👍🏽
Kedah people mostly very generous and friendly ❤
This episode makes ichang and jimmy so happy to enjoy the food. Because the taste and the price is fortable. Happy to see
So nice, you giving back the kindness to makcik goreng pisang...keep the change.
Jimmy getting distracted while eating deliciously “I’m so eating that Pisang Goreng”…That was so a Malaysian move. In one day you can never decide what to eat. You just want everything. Anyway Nasi Lemak Royale is just in Ampang as well, if you drop by in Ampang roger me. I’ll belanja you guys ❤
Overall, both of you have been making a great video regarding Malaysian cuisine. Yet, your video was captured very naturally and respected every culture. Well done.
I suggest IChang and Jimmy can do some live, maybe at the beach or in the park around Malaysia, the theme can be "What you want to feed Ichang and Jimmy today?" I am sure that many people will take the chance to meet up you two and bring you some food we liked ourselves!
Ichang welcome to my hometown! Must try koteow iman, nasi kandar wira (hieshani) and my father's shop, Aloq staq bamboo garden, he is a big fan of you and jimmy!
Oh yeah for kuih, go to jalan Tunku Abdul Razak, alot of kuih, my favourite is their cecoq badak, if you go there after 4pm alot will finish.. U need to stay in Alor Setar to properly try their food there..
If you’re still in Kedah, go find nasi lemuni. The special nasi you can only find in northern states ( Perak to Perlis). It’s like nasi lemak cook like nasi kerabu. (Cooked with lemuni leaf). Other than that, you can try nasi ulam or nasi daging air asam. To Kedah people, please suggest here. I want to help but I think local knows best 😂
xtau nk suggest mana, xdak kedai yg betoi2 promote mknnn ni😢 . more of homecook 😅
nasi kandar daniel-jln stadium. nasi lemak pokok sena raffik-stadium darulaman, coq peneram kedai tepi jalan depan food court mergong, nasi lemak sultan bawah flyover depan pacific hypermarket, nasi lemak Ji - jalan telok wanjah, kue tiow iman-mergong, nasi ayam tat-mergong, nasi lan peruda-lorong sempit near pcific hypermarket, nasi briyani amin res-sebelah pekan rabu, kuetiow goreng mydin-medan tanjung bendahara, nasi lauk tengahari en-jalan tanjung bendahara, nasi tengahari lauk Pumpong-jalan anak bukit, burger daging cheese kedai burger Jalan Astana 1 dekat Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, cucoq udang Mat-PKNK.
There are so many change of flavour in Malaysian food. Endless possibilities in a single plate, even Michelin can't keep up. Lol
Ha ha ha.. makin gemuklah si Michelin tu
I like how ichang and jimmy knows a lot of details about Malaysia that most dont. Like how when we eat with hand our palm doesnt touch the food.
Hahahha comey je aney tu pusing belakang pastu senyum thumbs up. Love the way he stand and smile back showing his appreciation for coming 😂
Both of u gave this humble nasi lemak a royal treatment by ordering alot of tempting and fresh dishes..enjoying watching both f u devouring those food..
Your channel is one of the most honest simple and yet full of interesting things one can enjoy at. Keep up the good and happy work both of u. ❤️👍
"Life is short...eat Goreng Pisang" - iChang RM. Best quote ever. Somebody ought to make a tshirt out of this.
Sentisa seronok tengok expresy jimmy bila makan. Salut kat jimmy selalu mendahulukan isteri
Another great video as always 💕 I might pay a visit to the nearest Nasi Lemak Royale soon in KL 🤤 I wanna help translate what Makcik is saying. Assuming the child she meant is her daughter..
23:00 "Saya punya anak minat Korea" = My child (daughter/son) interested in Korea.
"Kalau dia ada hari ni, memang suka" = If she is here today, she will be excited.
23:12 "Itu dia minat Bambam. Bambam penyanyi. Dia minat sungguh!" = She likes Bambam, the singer. She really like him! (Bambam is a member in kpop boyband GOT7). ✌🏼
In KL, try Nasi Lemak Royale in Ampang. It has never disappointed me.
OMG... You guys really know how to appreciate Malaysian foods, i'm so proud of you guys 😍😍👍
Only the rice is a bit of Lemak but the dishes are more of Kandar. So I would call that "Nasi Kandar Mak" 😊😛
Ichang become like more malaysia people..gossip other thing with different people..LOL..both impression of you always make me smile..
I first had Nasi Lemak Royale in their outlet in Kota Damansara, Selangor. My expression was like you too.. it was like nasi lemak + lauk nasi kandar .. yellow tumeric nasi lemak hence the name royal (yellow =royal). The ladies finger is fresh and nice combination.
Konichiwa..Welcome to my hometown Jimmy & iChang ..im glad both of u get in here..actually Nasi Lemak(spices) ,Nasi Minyak & Nasi Mehndi(Arabian cuisine) we consider as Nasi Kandar too.. The word ‘kandar’ refers to the bamboo pole which vendors (mostly Muslims from Northern India) would use to carry large containers of nasi kandar during the late 19th and early 20th Centuries ..beside the Nasi Kandar Royal, theres a lot another Nasi Kandar style in Kedah..but im prefer the Nasi Kandar Aminres at Bangunan Ukir Alor Setar ..
Btw guys you should try Nasi Daging ,Nasi Tomato,'Nasi Dalcha & Bihun Sup(Simpang Empat Alor Setar)', Nasi Itik(Jalan Kuala Kedah), Nasi Lemak Lemuni(Jalan Langgar),Laksa@Laksam Kedah and Mee Rebus since you in Kedah ..anyway have a nice trip in northern M'sia & good luck iChang & Jimmy ..stay safe and keep healthy..
Happy to see you enjoying Malaysian food and that Malaysians are treating you nicely.😃
Goreng Pisang auntie says: my child loves Korea (all things Korea I guess), if only he/she was here today (I think she was trying to say that if her child meets you guys from Japan, he/she will be very happy/excited)....like her father likes to sing (I'm guessing the goreng pisang uncle- her husband likes to karaoke)
I miss my hometown food. Make me craving. You should try nasi Haji Ali.
remember or not.. ichang and jimmy struggle with hand eating style..but look at them now..like pure Malaysian
the last part is "sedekah" is the best. they give, and you are also give 😁🤟
it's Nasi Kandar but northern specialty ( nasi kandar utara/kedah style). just like laksa, we have many version in different states. usually this is more popular among the malays because the gravy is more on the sweeter sides compare to the typical nasi kandar. Nasi Lemak Royale, Nasi Lan Kedah, Nasi Kalut Jitra Mai are among the popular ones
NASI LEMAK ROYALE FOR THE WIN. my childhood fav.
dulu ada tempat yg jual nasi royale sedap gila sampai beratur la setiap kali mai. skrg ni takde dah, dah rak sama rasa 😩
makcik2 aku kat kedah buat sedap je nasi royale, tp kdg2 tu nak jugak rasa kedai/warung punya. stkt ni takde yg oomph jilat jari utk aku dan tambah kali ke 1000 😂
kalau sesape boleh rekemen kat mana nak cari nasi royale yg sedap around alor setar, please do tell.

Waiting for your video , is so exciting. Hope i will met ichang and jimmy. I want to treat you with My local dish in Sik , Kedah. We Called it " Nasi Lemang " its not lemang , but rice with wrap it in leaf i dont remeber that leaf name 😅 . But it my fav , eat with ayam kampung bakar. Love both off youuuuu ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Enjoy to see you guys eat a lot in Malaysia. I think after see this Kedah Beras will make you guys their ambassador. Thank you and hope you guys will always meet kind Malaysian people. 😊
Thanks for the video. Thanks for coming to Kedah. I hope you would try to find Nasi Ulam. Kedah's Nasi Ulam is different from others in Malaysia. Nasi Ulam is eaten with Sayur Keladi. You have to try this traditional Kedah dish.
❤yup indeed, tapi takbtau nk recommend kedai mana😅
@@farahhusna2681 kedai apa, suruh ja ichang p kenduri kawen orang melayu yg di belah utara (kedah, perlis dan utara perak) confirm ada lauk sayur keladi, lepastu alang² try bermesra dgn tuan rumah 😂
I Think jimmy hand eating skill already reached max level, great vlog as always!
You can come to our shop, Ichang! Ameer Kueyteow Kerang Taman Rakyat. We will wait for you!! Our shop open at 530pm until 1am. Our shop location is in-front of the Restoran Shafee beside the road. We will wait for you ya iChang and Jimmy! From Alor Setar Kedah 😅😊

It's looks so good. Kinda hungry right now
Jimmy and ichang make me hungry 😭😭😭
You should try come to restoran nasi tomato majid now that you are in Alor setar. It’s really good. I eat there once almost every week
Hahaha..now you guys know how to use the word 'Mafan'! 😆👍 By now, I think both of your stomachs already changed to Malaysian stomach..🤣
Hi Jimmy and Ichang, in Kedah it is common to see nasi lemak with yellow color. Don't surprise if you found brownish color and it is still nasi lemak. As long as the ingredients having coconut milk, that is nasi lemak.
Nasi kandar is just plain rice or tumis.
When the nasi/nasi lemak is served with the same dishes (mix curry/fried chicken/fish/) some people think both are the same.
In Kedah we also have Nasi Daging (meat rice), bihun sup(yellow vermicelli )for you to try.
yg brownish tu 'nasi lemak lemuni'
The Nasi Lemak Royale, looks and taste great.i guess, price is very reasonable.but kedah rice is something different.
If u both still in alor setar and craving more northern style of nasi lemak/kandar, u should try " Nasi Lemak Ji " located at jalan teluk wanjah. For me this is one of few the best nasi lemak/kandar in alor setar. Hope both of u enjoy staying in alor setar.
Japanese people loves food, very passionate about it and will travel everywhere just to eat good foods. Saw Japanese TV shows and they do this in Japan as well.
Translation 23:00
Aunty: My child is a Korean lover.
Uncle: Eat more! Here Banana!
Aunty: My child is not here today (pointing to the seat). If not... (lost in translation). What does it call? Bamba bamba ( I think it's Big bang?) The singer. Really loves them.
But I guess her child really loves KPOP and wanted to tell you that he/she will be excited when seeing you. While uncle feeding you guys non stop!
Love this video!
Welcome to Alor Setar Ichang & Jimmy,...lots of food to explore.. >>> Laksa Teluk Kechai, Kueteow Iman, Roti Jala Man - Stadium, Roti Doll Farouk, Mee Rebus Derga.. n many more.. Please try >> Gulai Batang Pisang
Just sharing, if u guys makan di kedai and feels like the rice is too much.. u can ask for nasi separuh (half) 😄 thats the way i enjoy my lunch because i love to eat / taste the lauk more haha but i guess u guys are big eater than me 😆
Aney be like outside fierce, inside got flower 🤣
The Royale Nasi Kandar in Alor Setar is very famous. The rice is very special and yellow in colour. For RM35.00 only, iChang looks shock after experiencing the most expensive RM115.00 Nasi Kandar in Penang.
Wow! I am so happy, since the first day i saw your video craving for nasi kandar, i really hope that one day you will come and try our kedah style of nasi kandar, it is different from penang and KL becouse the rice is not plain rice, the spice for the sauce are not to strong and a litle sweet taste... And now you already haved it... Yes!👍😁
A bit confuse about the name "nasi lemak" but it is actually nasi kandar....
And also, the price that you got is the normal price, yes in kedah it is more cheeper than penang.
We know Ichang approved if she describe everything about the food she likes 😆
I was confused too when I looked for nasi lemak in Alor Setar last month. I found Nasi lemak/Nasi Kandar for breakfast. Sedaaaaap
U guys are good eater but still keep in shape.. cant resist the pisang goreng is a must2 for high tea..yap this boss look very artistic and make the food look sooo yummy!!! Stay fun u both..👏🙏👍✌😁💞😅
perut ichang pakai tank apa..hahaha baru habis nasi sepinggan besar..mkn donut lgi hahaha.. watching this im proud be malaysian.. many friendly peoples.. what u need is smile..
The last video you make me cry. So kind both of you Ichang ❤️❤️❤️.
Hello Ichang and Jimmy.. 😆 thank you for your video... that is the best way to try Nasi Lemak Kuning.. most of us call that nasi lemak kuning as for yellow rice.. just for your info, not all nasi kandar are the same.. different restaurant had difference taste .. but you know, kedah and penang curry are slightly difference.. maybe it been cook different way and kedah curry less thick compared to penang one.. because penang curry had more spices.. and Kedah one maybe more santan i think.. and ofcourse kedah much more cheaper.. there are a lot more to enjoy in Kedah.. Try out kuey teow kerang iman in Alor setar.. Mee udang udang at Tanjung Dawai.. Naim Gulai Ikan semilang the same way to tanjung dawai.. also dont forget Satay Semeling.. enjoy Kedah both of you .. and take care Ichang and Jimmy.. 🌸🤗💕
Yea, ichang and jimmy drove straight to alor setar but they did not know that sg petani is also a big town with a lot of good and delicious food... Satey semeling, nasi lemak cinta sayang, gulai semilang naim, mee udang rumpun mamboo... Mee kuah tulang mak uda (opposite mrsm merbok) and many more... Sg petani also nearer to penang... Please have a visit in your next trip

You should try “beras siam wangi”. For me it’s the most delicious variety of rice. Even better than basmati or sushi short-grained rice.
Ichang u go and find NASI ULAM with sayur keladi..
She said ...her daughter also like Korea movie
Since you all were in alor setar, you all should have gone to Nasi lemak Ong. Its Chinese style nasi lemak and its very traditional with their own flair!! So in love watching ichang videos. They explore lots of malaysian local eateries more than any local tv show ever did. It is like a documentary of local malaysian food and eateries that deserves a tv show on its own. It is so simple and lovely to watch. Nothing over the top. Not to mention the little knowledge they had on Malaysian food and its functional purpose.
my favorite nasi lemak ,i always went there to eat if i was in kedah.i would say it would be in my top 3 nasi lemak
Nasi lemak royale is actually a type of nasi kandar. But, the rice is a bit different compared to normal nasi kandar rice since it's cooked with coconut milk which gives the 'lemak' taste, hence why it is called nasi lemak and turmeric which gives it the yellow colour. You can actually call it as a Kedah style nasi kandar. The royale phrase is because the dish is the favourite of Kedah's royalties.
However, if you pair it with sambal and normal nasi lemak side dishes, it will become Nasi lemak. Nasi lemak kuning or yellow nasi lemak is a common dish in Kedah. Yellow rice is because Kedahan are used to adding turmeric, not just only in rice, but also in rice vermicelli or Bihun in Malay. This is why you will find Bihun sup in Kedah to be in yellow colour. Both nasi lemak kuning and Bihun sup utara can also be found in Penang and Perlis since historically these states used to be part of Kedah.
Welcome to Kedah jimmy and ichang, pls do visit alot of good and nice food like No.8 Fish Head Village, Mee Curry Ah Huat, Nasi kandar Haji Ali, Nasi Kandar K, Nasi Kandar Taman Wira, and roti canoi pak wan who need to cut and pack with ownself. etc.😬😬

Wow wow wow!!! The famous nasi Royale Kedah!!! So yummy! Even the King stop by for the rice.
Translation: the auntie said her daughter loves Korea (probably talking about Kpopp idol/group). They thought you could speak Malay fluently, so they keep talking to you non-stop, not knowing that you could only speak a little bit of our language. Anyway, the pisang goreng and ubi goreng (fried sweet potato) looks good. By the way, there are a few branches of Nasi Lemak Royale Kedah in KL also. Keep up the good work iChang and Jimmy! I love watching all your videos! :))
So delicious Nasi Kandar 😍😋👌👍🏻
You guys should go food hunting in sungai petani and Kulim as well. Try fried chicken at McDota (not mcdonald's) in sungai petani.

Value for money. The food looks very delicious.
we used to have one outlet of Nasi Lemak Royale too here in Bandar Sri Permaisuri but they close operation few months ago. I'd always singgah to get my weekly dose, like they're legit my Friday night's guilty pleasure, so ngl it such a big loss for me 😭Thought they wanted to do some renovation until I saw the notice that a clothing shop's gonna occupy the space. The nearest outlet from my place is in another city, not sure when but I hope to be able to taste it again.
