Thank you all for the great comments on what the table could have been made out of but table was made out of an old BILLIARDS / SNOOKER table. Well done to the few that got it right!!

I used to make a living buying and reselling antiques. The best deals is at the last 2 hrs or last hour (depending how large the antique fair is). Vendors want to unload their inventory, so they lower their prices towards the end, or give you a better deal when bartering.

That's funny you should say that because I was just thinking the same thing, and I know absolutely nothing about antiques.
I would do anything to not have to reload stuff onto a lorrie and haul it back if it were me.

The fabrics on the arm chairs are just gorgeous. Wow. I can see why they are expensive. It would be so much fun to go through those markets. Wouldn’t that statue be beautiful in Billy’s chapel. I love the way you two have decorated your chateau, it is done so tastefully.

OMG - go back to stall 159 and buy everything! How can you live without those chairs - all of them!! Sooo much in there that I would kill for.
Sad the oval table wasn’t a fit for you - I really liked that one.
Thank you for taking me shopping with you. I had a wonderful time. Hope you heard me oohing and aahing over everything….the silver, glass, linens, etc.
Honestly, had I been there I don’t think you could have drug me out without all those chairs (in my mind I’ve already found places in my home for them, especially the red ones, the garden theme ones and the sweet pink toile de jouy. lol
Looking forward to our next shopping day. In the meantime, I’ll be watching.
    Have Fun - Enjoy!

Simply fabulous merchandise. Don't care for the tables, too Mid-Century for my taste. I saved a beautiful interior shot from a magazine years ago where the designer had used captain's chairs around a round dining table, but each chair was different, no two alike, the effect was stunning. Have a lovely day, for us in the US it is Thanksgiving Day, any day's a good day to be thankful and filled with gratitude for what we have and love. From the SF Bay Area. 🍷🥰

If you haven't found a dining table yet, consider a Spanish Gothic style- which I went with for my own home- antique dealer on ebay. It's round w 2 leaves to seat up to 12.
Then you can do chairs in co-ordinating not matching style.
    Good luck!

I, myself can appreciate the upholstery being centered and aligned properly! I had my dining room chairs completely rebuilt and covered in red upholstery with heavy gold embroidered gold thread in a baroque feathery style. The upholsterer said it was going to be extremely hard to get it straight from top to bottom and side to side while that scroll design wrapped around the sides and curved up over the backs of the chairs. He did an impeccable job!! My guests feel very elegant when seated!!! I bought enough material to have matching curtains made for the exterior windows!! The master chairs originally had a cut velvet scroll/ plume design but I couldn't find a match. I finally found a low cut velvet in red, silver, white etc. the pattern was called "Buckingham Palace", another extremely fancy pattern, difficult to get centered and exactly right but it was done correctly!!!
