- Antiques is a passion for Edd & I .
We head of to Bordeaux antiques fair and we fall in love with some amazing Chandeliers one of which is 19th century and the other one a Murano one !
We see some exquisite Napoleon 3 drinks cabinets , tables , we see similar cabinets to the ones we have and discover their real cost ... and a very unique chair :)
Like Edd said "here is a bit for everyone " in this episode x
We hope you enjoy it x

I’m so jealous and envious of you both. I was born into a poor family of 16. Thus far I have not had the pleasure of living in a chateau. Now I’m 74 and hoping when I go to heaven my savior will allow me to live in his mansion. How lucky you are. I’m happy for you both.🕊🕊😇😇👍👍❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🌹🌹🙏🙏🥂🥂🍾🍾
Thank you for your kind words. xx
The children are so well mannered 💕
I love these vlogs. It makes me feel like I’m in France .
Thank you so much Romie. xx
I need to get my first passport (at 53 years old) so I can drive over to for 2-3 days and visit a Brocante or Antique fair.
You have the most beautiful children….so well behaved too.
Edd, go get that desk for Anna then hide it away for a special present. These things are the most romantic gestures, and would come with a story of how you gifted such a special present that could be passed down to Charlotte or Charle’s wife one day. ( hope that worked Anna!!😉)
Charlotte? Their daughter is Emma.
Window shopping 🛍 is hard when there are so many beautiful 🤩 things around you!
The Murano chandelier is similar to the one Stephanie Jarvis purchased for her “office”. Beautiful!
you had way more self restraint than Stephanie did! so amazing to see items never seen before, thanks for the tour
LOVE the Olive tree idea, let's see the project Ed!
Can’t get enough of the antique shops and brocantes...love it.
You are too sweet Susan ❤️ x x x hope to see you at the premiere ❤️
So many treasures! Anna it must have been so hard not to get anything!
Thanks for the tour of the antiques.
Our pleasure! Thank you so much Peggy x x x
Wow. That chandelier in the first shop is beautiful.
So many beautiful things, can't understand how someone is comfortable surrounding themselves with steel & glass. Pity those who are not passionate about their furnishings , history & antiques!
Love that you do the shout outs for these incredible vendors! So generous.
Patricia they have had it just as hard as us, and they let us film for content so it really was the least we could do. xx
Enjoyed every minute of the vlog, Jason from Stoke, England 🤓
That Murano chandelier looks almost like the one Stephanie just had delivered at La Lande! I love them because they are so whimsical. Hers was made with beautiful flowers.😍I would guess $3500?🤷♀️Those antique drink set are gorgeous.
I've always loved Napoleon III but to get a real close up of all that was amazing, thanks made my day
Thank you, so glad you enjoyed the vlog xx
I love the little face on Charles when you asked him what the little girl's name was, who's having the birthday party. Awww.. he's so sweet! 🥰
Debbie thats his best friend at school - Manon!!! xx
Yes, that was funny....his embarrassed roll of the eyes! 😂 Like "Mum, don't single me out!". Lol.
Those antiques are incredible. Thank you for sharing that with us. I want everything you showed us. Yes, it’s torture not be able to spend and just look. Ed and Anna thank you for giving us a little insight into your lives in France
Thank you so much Ivy you are too kind x x
It was so nice to be able to go there and spend a bit of time amongst such beautiful pieces x
We couldn't buy anything but admiring them was as nice x x
I can't believe the kids weren't complaining about the heat or anything.
They were so good weren't they. xx
@@BordeauxLife They were very patient! (Or maybe you edited out any cries for attention or frustration?) Just a thought: maybe you shouldn't have the mic so close to the stroller on a gravel surface. It was hard to hear what you were saying at that point.
Another wonderful video. I would love to hear how you two met...your love story.
Thank you so much Rachel x x x
We will do a video soon of how we met and how things have changed since we met :) x x
After watching many videos I feel like you are family friends and watching your family and love is very comforting.
I love the ebonized furniture with the gilt tracery. I had thought that the Napoleon III style was quite monumental but the black with the delicate gold is lovely.
Yaaayyyyy we are spoilt again tonight LaLande and LaGorce plus Dan’s daily’s!
Did you have a tear too Sarah at the lovely speech given for Stephanie? 😃
@@suzieq2958 I cry at anything right now 😂
You are too sweet lovely Sarah x x x
Why's that Sarah, hopefully the best reason ;0)@@sarahyates6055
@@suzieq2958 I think a number of reasons, firstly I’m an empath and a real softie. Also I’m waiting for surgery a biopsy on a large lipoma in my abdomen. The Drs can’t say for definite if it’s cancerous or not. Although on the surface I feel calm about it all and I have faith in God and I know I’m in good hands with a very good surgeon and his team…. At the end of the day I’m only human!! X
I love antique trips!!! What a beautiful place to window shop!!!! I'll be spending lots of imaginary money at this Antique Fair!!! I just bought the Murano chandelier for my imaginary chateau!!! The Napoleon 3 stall was great fun!!!!! I bought the tortoise shell notebook in my mind too!! I had a wonderful time "Window Shopping".Can't wait for our next trip! Love from Vermont
What a lovely trip we had with you! Poor Anna, no treats this time! It was so nice walking along with you and your well behaved little Charles....he is already a little gentleman. Looking forward to going with you again!
Loved your vlog, it was amazing!!! Ed I have to say that your doggie shorts at the close were epic!!! Anna I hope that Ed will give you a yes dear on the olive tree table with seats.💖💞💖🏰🤴👸👧👦
Loved loved this vlog. The antique fair was an absolute gem - so much to see and love. Xxxx
That Murano chandelier reminds me of the one that Stephanie recently put in her office at Chateau de Lalande.
Yes we didn't realise Stephanie had just got one similar when we filmed the vlog , but it was so beautiful we had to keep it in!! xx
I love how you are teaching your Son the love of antiques! I was also taught at a young age, making memories and learning new things, a perfect combination ❤️🇫🇷❤️ Bravo 👏👏👏
Fabulous Antiques Edd. Loved the first Table. And the Chandeliers The Murano one was lovely, I couldn't stop myself from buying something. Loved the Garden pots. Looking Forward To Friday
Xx 😘
Thanks so much Tina!! I know it was really hard work not buying anything!!! see you friday. xx
Gorgeous pieces, thank you for sharing your day with us! 🙏🏼💕
Thanks Edd and Anna, another great vlog :)
Our pleasure! Thank you so much Karen for your kindness it means a lot x x x
It’s always nice just to look and dream where you could possibly put those antiques
You are absolutely right it was just as good as buying them but now i want that desk hahahahahahah and a little drinks cabinet :) x x x maybe next time its back on x
How beautiful everything was! I'm so sorry you were not able to buy! I agree, when you are not able to buy the day is just not as fun for you! Next time you go I hope you have a full purse and the little desk is still there! Oh and the purse and notebook were amazing! I thought it funny that Charles sat in that chair so innocently! LOL! Can't wait for Friday!
Rebecca I'm sure we will be in a better situation at the next fair. Yes it was funny when Charles sat in the chair!!!! xx
Wow! So much exquisite antiques. First the rose behind Ed is beautiful second Annas ring is gorgeous! Love it!😍 I say this video is such a treat! My husband would love that food stand with lots of meat. 😁 More videos like this please and thank you so much for sharing this to us.😊
Loved the antiques so much quality in one place, you’re a beautiful family.
Window shopping is only so much fun! But thank you, so much, for going! I would love to go, one day! Place de Quinconconces?
Correct Lawrence it is beautiful there. xx
I'm obsessed with that €4600 cabinet!
It was beautiful wasn't it Susan. xx
It was a lovely day for the family!
Loved the brocant tour, the stall holders were so informative. Great vlog.
Thank you. !! INCREDIBLE !!! The antiques such as that we have to get a view of such beautiful works of art in a museum in the states... certainly not in an open air festival. My guess for the Murano chandelier is somewhere around $7500 since I felt they were pricing things on the high side. Love when you go to the fairs and brocantes.
10,000.00$ American
I've been loving your Vlogs! Thank you. Looking at antiques outside like this reminds me of my Mom and I always going to 'flea markets' in nyc & philly area when I was growing up. Of course, we weren't looking at Napoleon era items. ;-)
I really enjoyed that would love to wonder around there all day
🇨🇦❤️ I love your strategy of exposing the kids to more antiques. They’ll certainly be well versed on the subject by the time they’re young adults. Being multilingual and living in that fantastic chateau gives them a unique perspective as well, so it’s going to be fun watching them grow up as they discover their own taste in all things.
I agree that it’s a bit sad to find beautiful things and be unable to purchase them, but I know you’re going to enjoy them even more once you get them because you’ll have had time to anticipate them.
Thank you as always for bringing us along.
That was very enjoyable, I would never be able to spend those amounts of money on items like those (not that I have the house for them anyway) but, I love to look and learn about everything you saw.
This was a great adventure. Lovely town and amazing antique pieces. I couldn’t stop laughing because you remind me of my husband & I when we go shopping. 😂
Bordeaux has the best pedestrian walking streets!
Caren you are correct!! xx
Good to know..love that Chandalier.. expensive
Murano...
3000€
WOW.. THE NAPOLIAN SHOP. IS OUTSTANDING!! VERY ELITE GIRGEOUS ITEMS. IMMACULATE BUT. BIG PRICES!! In Cdn $ things would cost 1.5 X in Euros
If only Philippines is next door neighbour to France, would love to get the Vanity Table. Enjoyed this video thanks Edd and Anna
Thank you so much. xx
I just love looking at all the beautiful pieces of history. 🤗
The Antiquities are amazing, Charles is getting SO tall and your parents home is amazing!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ooh! Antiques & Chandeliers (especially Murano) did I hear you say? 😁 Well you’ve got 10 thumbs up from me already 😊 Right up my street Anna & Edd 💕
❤️❤️❤️🥳 you are too sweet lovely Helen ❤️❤️❤️
Keep bringing the kids. They will appreciate it as they get older and your time with them goes by very very quickly. You’re making memories and knitting hearts ♥️ with them! A mom of 7, and grandmother of 6, Mary
Thank you Mary, we try to sped as much quality time with them as possible.xx
Love the antiques shopping.
A cliffhanger!!!! Can’t wait for Friday. I don’t think I could have the restraint you both had at the antique mart!!! Wow, there are so many beautiful pieces there, I wouldn’t be able to decide. Anna, I think Ed should try to replicate the fig tree table since you didn’t try to buy anything!! By the way, your children were so well behaved. Have a good week. 💕
Charles is such a little gentleman. He is so careful handling all the antiques and well behaved when Daddy says to stop. Love seeing the antiques but really wanted you to surprise us and buy something---rules are made to be broken!!!
Linda Charles did really well didn't he...he is still only 6, Edd's nerves were on edge a bit though!! We would always buy something, but we have to be really careful as we have lots of renovations to pay for at our project. xx
Lovely items! I wish you could have bought the things you fell in love with.
Monika so do we!!! They were however some of the most expensive stalls at the fair!! xx
I love the Napolean iii lesson!
I prefer these beauty’s un restored. I love the piece to tell it’s history .
Kathie you would love this antiques fair - there is something for everyone, pieces that are perfectly restored through to wrecks and everything in between!! xx
Looking forward to the "shocking" video on Friday. Cheers!
Loved it as usual Charles bless him looked really sad at the beginning but perked up later on his scooter. Yes torture going to an antique fair and can't spend 😣I had already mentally bought the aviary and duck vase as soon as you walked in! I'm guessing the Moreno chandelier is 10,000 ? I think Anna deserves that tree bar 😁you can do it Edd you have the skills/ tools 😃. As usual looking forward to Friday 🤔 what can it be ......X
I've been there many times when " window shopping " was the order of the day and that's when you undoubtedly find a gem. Bravo for sticking to the plan! Great fun today looking at antiques with the family. Charles already knows what catches his eye! 🌻 from 🇨🇦.
Thank you for your encouragement Margo, you are right Charles knows what what he likes!! xx
Beautiful antiques
Thank you so much Diane x x
Great adventure today ! Can't wait until Friday !????
Thank you so much Kim you are too kind x x x I am working on Friday's vlog tomorrow and i can't wait for you to watch it x x
Thank you for taking us along to enjoy antiques. Love that you bring the children so they grow to love and appreciate antiques as much as the both of you.
Glad you enjoyed it, they did ok for 30mins - 1hour in the heat looking at antiques and not breaking anything!!! lol xx
21:06 it is a sewing/embroidery/tatting set! I think I would die for that 😍
Some amazing pieces, furniture, lamps, I was on this site years ago ( 2010 ) to watch “ Tour de France “ bike race, this site was used as a staging area for the racers. Bordeaux is a beautiful city, beautiful antique shops also in Tour. My cousin lives about 15 minutes from this square.
That was amazing to see all the beautiful things in their booth. That was so much fun and I love following you all. The roses behind Edd are so beautiful. Oh, can't wait until Friday.
Thank you so much Jean see you friday. xx
Charles, is becoming a very nice little gentleman! 😎
Thank you Denice.xx
Fab tour of a special place, thank you, and looking forward to Friday!!! 😃
Thank you Suzie xx See you then
You guys are so much fun to watch even antiquing! Lol
Hi Edd and Anna, awesome video that must have been torture to look at all the antiques and not buying them. Everything there was so beautiful I don’t know how you were able to restrain yourselves. Your children are so well behaved you are lucky to have such good children. I look forward to your next video on Friday I’m super excited, take care and stay safe. Loads of love and hugs from Canada! ❤️👍🥂.
Thank you Ed and Anna for showing us those beautiful antiques - they are so exquisite and we are sorry that you couldn’t buy any.
Really enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful things! How often does that antiques fair happen? 😊🌼🌞
Really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful antiques. Sorry you couldn’t buy any today . Xx
Loved the stroll the antique fair today. Thank you. 👍💐
You’re welcome June 😊 xx
Love these videos mate, feels like i'm tagging along on a journey of discovery! well done cheers 🙏🏻
Thank you for sharing the beautiful City of Bordeaux ! Buying antiques and old objects is good for the planet, culture, rich in history... Continue the good job !
I applaud your discipline. Items are beautiful but expensive!
Love seeing the city & the antiques market, just a shame time ran out to see more
Thank you Jo, we will go back soon.xx
I love Bordeaux I need to find out when the fairs are on I seem to
Miss them by the way the music you always use is mesmerising
Thank you so much, the area is called quinconces and that is the brocant des quinconces - if you do a google search you well see there are 2 per year I think. xx
I would be thrilled with those beautiful gray dinning chairs...
The Napoleon 3 booth was spectacular! I don't blame you for leaving because it is some sort of sweet torture to window shop when the window holds treasures.
Carole you get it!!!! That stall is by far the best one every time... his antiques are exquisite. xx
What a fun vlog! Thank you for sharing your sweet life with us! I am sending greetings from our California vineyard and B&B in the Sierra mountains. 😘🍇🍷
I discovered your channel just yesterday and have been watching it throughout today as well. Cannot get enough! I am living vicariously through you both. Love the charisma between the two of you. May you two always be in love :)
"Charles, not yet!" 🤣
Thank you for sharing this with us. Loved everything especially on Atelier Napoleon 3. Hopefully at the next antique fair, you'll be able to buy the things you want. 💕
Hi Ed & Anna
Really enjoyed the video, what lovely pieces. Billy would be in his element there.
Stay safe Sean
Thank you so much Sean ❤️ so glad you liked the antiques ! Billy would be in heaven 🥳❤️😅😉 I can’t wait for the day we all go antiquing together x x x
I smiled so much at the way young Charles rolled his eyes upon being asked the names of his female school friend who is having a party. I really didn't think they started so early.
I watched this on my husbands phone but still love rewatching your journey ❤
Thank you Anna all the antiques were just beautiful especially the Monaro glass chandelier 6500e 💗
Thank you Amanda xx The chandelier was 5700€ xx
At a restaurant today I drank claret made “in the Bordeaux style” today because I was thinking of you!
There are some beautiful antiques exhibited on this stand. The Murano chandelier Ed is similar to the one Stephanie Jarvis recently purchased and has hanging over her desk. Stunning craftsmanship! Anna's enthusiasm for all beautiful things is delightful, well done again you two for a lovely vlog. 👍😘X
Stephanie Jarvis Loves vintage murano glass chandeliers !!
I know, we didn't know until we had filmed the vlog, but it was so beautiful we had to keep it in!! xx
What a lovely antique fair ....one day I hope to see in person but for now, thank you for taking us with you. Looking forward to Friday !!
Have a great week 🥰🌼
Thank you Karyn, it is a lovely Fair, see you Friday. xx
Beautiful Antiques Anna. Stephanie Jarvis from Chateau La Lande bought a beautiful Marano glass chandelier recently, similar to the one in your Vlog and it is now in her office!
I jsut came back from Bordeaux and the rain was incredible ! No time to look at antiques but next time I hope.
Hi Stephanie thank you so much for watching we went on Saturday it was still nice weather but we had so much rain after that omg the fair should hopefully be back this November x x x
Vlogs getting better and better! The edit is great too! Really enjoyed it. 🇨🇦❤️
Thank you so much Laura it means a lot i am trying to improve every time x x x sending lots of love all the way to Canada Anna x x x
Eye candy!!! Window shopping can't be so frustrating especially with antiques l know... Still thanks for sharing guys. Greetings from Athens Greece ❣️
Very similar Murano chandelier that Stephanie has, although her has fruit on it and this one has flowers. £3,800?
We filmed this before we saw Stephanie got one similar and this one was at 5700€ we did admire it but it was far too expensive for us x
@@BordeauxLife wow! It is beautiful though😊
Very similar new floral chandeliers are listed on the Murano website.
@@BordeauxLife omg that is way too expensive for us too. I can get a small old car for that amount 😂 Btw love your videos and love watching antiques store in France. We don’t have such antique stores in Australia. Wish we can go visit your chateau someday💕 keep making videos 💕
@@BordeauxLife surely she got a good bargain on hers and didn't have to pay such a high price!
