Yo my dude. K830. Fn+del swaps from dongle to Bluetooth. Turn the 830 off and on to return it to the dongle. The 600 has batteries because the 830 charger port is known for snapping off.
Backlighting isn't a big deal for me. I'm def getting the k600 because I like having mouse left and right button options on the left side of the keyboard for my opposite hand to use simultaneously in conjunction with the track pad itself.
k600 is the winner - if you are a guy who travels, regular or rechargeable batteries are easy to get and replace + you can use 3 devices on 1 keyboard - all for $50 to $60 US Dollars!
appreciate this vid. My k830 trackpad started to become intermittently unresponsive after 4 years of use and I was deciding between k600 or another k830 to replace it. I decided on another k830 for the backlight and I have heard other reviewers saying k600 trackpad is not as good.
Replying little bit late, but I just got the Logitech k600 and I have the iPad Pro 11 and have the iPadOS. This keyboard works very great, however, the keyboard is wider than the iPad and the trackpad is very small. I’d recommend if you use the iPad for the main purpose of typing, and office use. I’m a student myself, and this keyboard will look very stupid when I use it on the desk. I might return it and get a smaller one. Thanks for reading :)
Legendarywiteout I wound up getting the Pro 12.9, and actually ended up not using a keyboard or mouse at all. The pencil does everything I was going to use a mouse for, and I’ve gotten pretty good at using the on screen keyboard, esp. for emails, etc. Thanks for the response, though. I will keep it in mind. I go for functionality over form, anyway...and I never mind looking stupid. Haha
Ryno Bones Well, if you got the 12.9, I suggest you look into the Logitech Smart Folio that has a keyboard. If I am not wrong, that keyboard uses the smart connector which can be used to charge and easily connect. That’s a good option for a keyboard.
How are replaceable batteries a drawback? You know you can just buy a pair of AA sized rechargeable batteries and use them forever. Moreover, when they'll eventually die you can replace them. Something you can't do with built in battery.
Does Logitech make a multi device backlit track pad keyboard? I think 8m looking for a unicorn... K600 is missing backlight. K830 Not multi device... Like wtf Logitech... Its Not like the technology doesnt exist and i cant be the only one thats looking for those features... I give up i dont need logitech. Im getting someth8ng that will offer what im looking for.
Excellent review. Ordered a k600 and then watched the review. Glad I made the right choice.
Any update about how the K830’s trackpad works with the latest iPad OS?
Thank you .. clear explanation unlike other videos
I was just in the market to buy one of those for my Galaxy Tab S4 so thank you...I will check out both reviews.

Thanks so much for this comparison. I had no idea which one to get and you saved me a lot of time.
Which one did you decide to get?

backlit and multi device features been split up...why can't they have both in same keyboard...
terrific overview. Don't see myself using 3 devices at the same time (e.g. tablet, phone...and??) Though it could also come down to cost. :)
Smart tv , Apple TV, roku, google , etc.

Do you have either of them available to test the trackpad with the new iPadOS?

As far as i have seen from these devices you should just buy some good long lasting batteries and you'l prolly never replace them.
I tried k830 and it's track pad cursor is slow and buttons make more click sound than expected. I returned it.
I was actually looking for a review of these keyboards. Do you know if they work with mac os too? JW
Yes they do
