Just got a quote for my 2016 Subaru Crosstrek 225 for $1000.00 with installation and a 45,000 road hazard warranty. Seems like the price has gone up since you posted this video.
Went into D.T. today with a printout of the "shopping cart" showing cost & shipping and they did matched the price also. Supposed to take a few days to get in, but that is a good price for those tires.:) Thanks for the tip!
@@MTsubfly Will do. I almost always go with Coopers. Had AT3's on a Trailblazer, Renegade, Wrangler, and now the AT3 4S on my boy's '16 Cherokee. The AT3 4S does come in a 235/60 that was going to go with, but @ $170 ea, I was going to wait for a decent rebate. Not a lot of info on these Trails yet, but from what I've read, they should make a decent year round tire for here in MI. I know they always say they price match, but never took them up on it. Had to take one of her wheel/tires in today to have them remove a deck screw & plug it, so thought I'd see if they'd price match the same place you mentioned. He said around 3 days...
@@cohocarl excellent! Yes I have the 4S coopers on the truck and very very impressed. I'm a fan of stock sized tires...lol. It will be great to see how the Falkens do in time, I expect good results, as they are very comparable in design to the cooper at3 4s.
Had the Trails installed on the wife's Crosstrek for around a month now. These tires are unbelievable...they make it stop snowing.;) We have received a couple inches here and there, but nothing to test them out in decent snow yet. It seems like I can feel a little vibration from the tread, but they are not noisy. They do look nice.:)
Bro- seriously, can you believe that this tire is under $100? I am all about value, and for me looking at tires out there, its like, "DAM! THATS A DEAL!" Great tread, Severe rating, 65k warranty, fair price -SOLD- Please subscribe! It means a TON to me as I hope to build a channel! Let me know what you want to see more of too!
Just watch your video, great deal you got! Congratulations, how have those tires behave? After covid, if you can find those tires, prices have rocket fly.
Thanks for watching. I'm approaching 1000 miles already and I'm really satisfied. I did try airing them up a bit higher around 36-37 though. More to come, please subscribe if you haven't! Let us know what you think when you get there!
GS Boorman thanks for pointing that out! I just uploaded an updated video regarding this, please check it out on my channel. You can still buy them for a smoking deal-
Hey man just ordered these same tires for my 2015 FXT through the website and mentioned you were how I heard about the website. I’m hoping they can maybe get you and affiliate link or something, anyways great video and thank you for the help.
Looks like it has gone up to $138 per tire at discount wheel warehouse. Walmart has them for $114, discount said they would match that $114. How do you like them after 1 year?
Just checked, they are $115.72 ea at discount wheel warehouse. You have to add them to your cart to see the price. This is due to MAP pricing. After 1 year... I am super happy with them still. I may try them out in a different size on another vehicle actually. Cheers!
I'm Sorry you are incorrect. I checked by following my link to the stock tire size 225/60R17. When you add them to your cart you will get the discount. Currently (12/27/2021) they are $140.16 each, plus shipping. Use the link in the video description to make it easier
@@MTsubfly my apologies. You’re correct. The discount is applied once you put them in the cart. My wife’s forester has the 18s so tires are 225/55/18 and they are $166 with discount. Cheapest I’ve found anywhere. 👍🏼
you should give it a try and report back here so others know. This video was shot using stock tire size on stock rims, stock height. BTW...still loving the tires and they are wearing great. I should get something from Falken for promoting their tires huh? honestly I love them.
Will do Ryan Guere! Please subscribe if you have not already, I am working on getting the tires mounted and another video, especially if we get snowed on again! Thanks!
Hi Mark. Great content. I just picked up a 2018 2.5i CVT Forester. Wondering about "standard" engine operating temp. I live in Northern Michigan. Lots of highway driving. Some terrain. My Forester typically runs at 216f @ 65mph with ambient temps at ~70F. Wondering if you've experienced similar normal temps?
Thats not bad, ours sits around 205 when fully warmed up, hwy driving maybe 212, going up the pass 225. You can try cleaning the radiator, it can help a lot if dirty or full of bugs.
2015. I went stock size. When you replace with stock sizes you have no worries about fit, no matter what tire. Folks have been really into, "fitting the biggest tire" thing lately...i personally couldn't do that to my daily driver. So much harder on the CVT, Diffs, ball joints, bearings, engine, less performance as well...just my thoughts... hope that helps?
MT yeah I spent all day today getting quotes and figuring out what I wanted to do. I concluded that nobody really knows what the best tire or best alteration to the car is and how to perform it. And I’m sure there’s a reason for that. They’ll screw my car up. Some places said Certain wheels worked others said the same wheel didn’t and through out all of that confusion I decided to buy rims and tires and just keep it to spec. The cars perform phenomenal even without a ton of modifications. They get the job done and are more capable than most 4wd cars out there without all of the smoke and mirrors. With that said. I bought rims that are the same size and the falken open country tires that are to spec as well. I’m sure tires will improve all terrain driving all on it’s own

Actually discount wheel warehouse is $126.51 checked just now 10/19/2021 (Size:225/60/17). I think you are referring to MAP pricing that most websites show $161 per tire. The difference is that DWW shows you their discounted price in you cart. Many many companies do this. When you sell on line you must show the product at the Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) (required by the manufacturer: Falken) but you can say: "see your price in cart" or "discount applied in cart". This is what DWW does, downside is you pay a little for shipping. www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com/Tires/details?pt=Falken+Tires+Wildpeak+A%2FT+Trail+225%2F60R17+99H+BSW&make=Subaru&model=Forester&year=2015&trim=2.5i+Premium+AWD&vid=69754&partno=FT-28712728
