Drag coefficient - just look it up rather than say it’s probably not good. New Mokka design improves aerodynamic efficiency, reducing drag by up to 16%
The Vauxhall Vizor front end helps direct air around the car for reduced drag
With a drag coefficient of 0.32 the new Mokka is one of the most efficient in its class
Air curtains and active shutters help reduce drag
New Mokka is the first to feature Vauxhall’s new Vizor front end

Ok, but is it better than the e-corsa?

    • @denischick2519

@@RSEV eCorsa is 0.29 but it’s a smaller car with lower frontal area. They are both excellent in their class. Of course a city car like Corsa will see less effect from it’s aerodynamics, spending most of its life in an urban environment. Mokka is predominantly an only car with Corsa the second car/family runabout.

You'd thought with all that green, they'd have a matching green flash on the plate.
Liking both the interior & exterior look, nice curve for the dashboard around the driver.
A good rival for the MG, seems a good town car.
Range & efficiency, time will tell??
    Yes, Lego is fun!

Seems expensive for a small car but it has good equipment and is a nice package. 50kwh battery is sensible. Given my experience with e208 I guess this is 150/160 mile range in general use. 100kw charge speed reasonable.
I’m sure, given it’s a Vauxhall, after a few weeks there will be discounts and offers available to reduce the rrp.
They said they’re seeing a good demand.

@@RSEV There is a good demand in the UK for many EV;s now that Motability have really good Nil Advance Payment or very low advance payments. Then with BMW they were able to knock thousands off the RRP's of i3's to get them under £35,000 so that the Government £2,500 sweetener was available. VW / Skoda were also able to knock their RRP down to under the £35,000 that really showed they were taking the micky. £32- 35,000 Vauxhall Corsa's were sitting going no place other than to Motability Customers and could be picked up nearer £25.000.

@@georgewalker7061 amazing how many manufacturers managed to bring down the price of their EVs to under 35k, Hyundai and Kia both have too, by doing a mid spec car for just under the grant figure.
Does kinda bring up the question of how manufacturers rig the prices, depending upon grant !

Thanks, a good short review. It is OK, adequate, will do the job etc, but just a bit boring. It will struggle against the MG, but it has a good dealer network, and should sell well. Range too short for many, including me.

There is the additional equipment K29 On board
battery charger 11 kw three phase. Do I need it? I do not live in a
house and I do not have three phase. I've been told that thanks to this integrated charger battery
charges faster everywhere. Is that so?

I don’t understand why so many manufacturers often chose “black shiny plastic” for the interior surfaces. Looks very cheap and is prone to showing up dust, fingerprints and scratches.

  • @stevenbarrett7648

Traditional car makers still stuff kit under the bonnet, they don’t get the new way of producing vehicles with a frunk and a trunk, pity. So long as it’s got a a range over 300 miles and a price under £300 a month on PCL it’s going to be a competitor going forward into 2022/23 but with such a puny range I really don’t see the point

    • @georgewalker7061

Difficult to put the stuff required elsewhere in what are small cars when there is no other places t ok put them.

The fact they have petrol and diesel variants shows... but still, good that it’s in the range and hopefully they can sell more than the others, giving them confidence to commit further to sole BEV development

@@georgewalker7061 new car manufacturers manage to do it.because they don’t know any better whereas old legacy manufacturers just shove stuff under the bonnet as that’s what they’ve always done

@@RSEV I h as be a e-Corsa and have done 10,000 miles in 10 months of lockdown using free charging with Charge Place Scotland. I know the range on dual carriageways, hill roads, country roads and in towns. That is empty, with passengers or bikes on roof. The e-Corsa is the lowest roof, lightest of the PSA cars and has the best possible range. The WLTP is pure kidology, and reviews of cars with just a driver and empty boot give the real world range for those doing that type of journey. Test a PSA EV on 60 - 70 mph speed limit road when loaded and 150 miles range is a which and as dream.

Had a quick sit in one earlier, did you find it quite small inside, even with the seat fully back, we could easily still reach the pedals.
The same issue as the Peugeot, awkward to get in & out of the rear seats.

Good review. Shame there’s no better range. With the range it’s got the cheaper end of the price range should be much less than £30k. That’s like the old e golf. New cars at that price should be better esp when you can buy an e-Nero for early-mid £30k with 300 mile range......

my Ampera is making a noise as if the engine is running all the time even though it isn't, could it be something chaffing maybe, it's in for its MOT in a couple of days so those guys may be able to find the problem just wondered what you think. Thanks.

If Stellantis company decides to bring this car to the USA it can be rebadged as Chrysler, I presume. However it is considered a subcompact according to USA standards so it might be sold only outside North America.

Not for me, I'm afraid. Exterior is wonderful but I just couldn't live with that interior: cramped, dark and there's just something awfully cheap feeling about Vauxhall switchgear. Got an Astra as a courtesy car for a few days last year and I genuinely loathed the thing.

😂Hot hatch auto park it shoots backwards ok! your face as the car is fast self reversing maybe designed for London aggressive competitive parking games? Vauxhall great at building popular but blind cars. As old Jeremy Clackson would have said Vauxhall" will sell bucket louds of them. A car definitely not for me but going backwards maybe and its a EV😁🌍👏
