Oh no, what happened Evan? Gasket wrong or what? I remember the seal issues. I am so sorry, I know that has to be very aggravating. Hopefully it will be an easy fix, other than the repeat of work 😳Thank you for bringing us along! On a lighter note , suns out guns out 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇲🇺🇲
Thanks, Nelson, it was really frustrating. I drained the coolant, but I haven't started tearing it back down yet. Hoping it's just a junk gasket. I had the head off 3 years ago and didn't have any issues with the gasket then. I got it from a different company but it looked like the exact same thing. I found an NOS head gasket set online and ordered it, hopefully it will work out better. 🤷♂🤷♂ The "suns out guns out" did make me smile, thanks for that friend! Was only 84 today but very humid, had a pretty good storm last night. Hope you have a good Labor Day Nelson!
Evan, love the way you resurfaced those rockers. Now, if I just had a lathe and tool-post grinder... Belt changes happen very infrequently. Good luck on the head gasket moving forward.
Thanks, Mike. I found an NOS head gasket set online, I'm hoping it works out better. Do you use copper coat on the new style gaskets? I've been told that they don't need it, and when I did the head gasket before I put it in dry and it was fine, but now I'm questioning it. Hope you have a good one, Mike!
@@evanaustin2636 I've used copper coat on the ones I've done and haven't had any leaks. Picked up a head for my 450 yesterday, we'll see how that goes when I get time to put it back together. Probably won't happen until after harvest though.
Oh man! I hope it's just the gasket but still, how frustrating! Thanks for the great example of what patience is! Best!
Thanks, Rusty. I had to cool off a few minutes before I filmed that last part. Definitely not what I wanted to see. Hope you have a good Labor Day!

Thanks, Ed. One step forward, 2 steps back unfortunately

But it's usually 1 step forward, 2, 3, 4, maybe 12 steps back... You'll get her done!
@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin Thanks, Ed! Working on your video from yesterday...always behind. Hope you have a good one
😕😕👍🏻 keep at it Evan
Just ordered a different head gasket. Hope you have a good one, Jack
Sorry buddy.
It happens. This was identical to the old head gasket, it never leaked. This one sure leaks. Hope you have a good one, Joe!
