I love how everyone in this world seems to have a fair bit of respect for Takeda, EXCEPT Jax, purely because he's dating and wanting to marry Jaqui
Man, Takeda's been so thoroughly disrespected alongside Kung Jin by not getting into MK11. If they do an MK-12 they need to bring all four of the Kombat Kids back. I'd even accept them ditching the licensed DLC kombatants if we could get more of the actual MK characters back in the limelight.

@@DuskSunDawn Sorry but I believe you have the wrong idea. He doesn't just respect Lui because of his "Chosen One" status, but because of the morals, virtues and character Lui holds himself to. Lui is a very respectful, kind, humble and honest person who always seeks to improve, keeps an open ear to advice and doesn't allow his ego and titles to define him or his accomplishments. A man who leads when called upon, follows when asked with honesty, and stands side-by-side with those who aid him.

Ya know, Hanzo makes a good point. Jacqui marrying into a Ninja clan gets benefits for situations in case she gets attacked. Plus, the “matching rope spears” would be dope as well.
Scorpion does have a point about Jacqui joining the shirai Ryu tho, I mean if she joins the shirai Ryu she could get more fighting experience from scorpion and also get defense and help from him just like how sub zero helped the special forces because of johnny. And scorpion is actually extremely powerful and is on earth realms side so he shouldn't have nothing to worry about

This would be good for Jacqui to have her own character arc and step out of the shadow of Cassie and her father. I honestly really like Jacqui and do not understand the hate she gets.
I feel like this is common with fathers/brothers when there daughters/sisters are growing up. They want to be overprotective and don’t want anything to happen to them and I get it but sometimes they need to realize they can’t protect them forever. They’re strong enough to take care of themselves and Jacqui is evidence to that when it comes to overprotective family members in general.
I've never meet a father who thinks that to be Jesus Christ ("the chosen one") is a requierement for going out (or marrying) his daughter hahahaha.
No one can protect their child forever but that doesn't mean anyone has to stop trying to be there for them.
If anyone’s confused about how Jax would know about Takeda dating Jacqui, it’s most likely because of this intro in MKX.

This is honestly a good example of how being overprotective can be toxic. Hes not giving it a chance nor is he respecting it.
Here's my thoughts on Jacqui marrying into the Shirai Ryu. It's a net positive. Jacqui and Takeda are obviously in love, so there's a plus. The Shirai Ryu under Scorpion are on Earthrealm's side alongside Sub-Zero's modern Lin Kuei. Anyone dumb enough to mess with Jacqui gets the combined might of Jax, the Shirai Ryu, as well as her best friend Cassie Cage and Cassie's immediate circle on her side.
Basically as long as she and Takeda are willing to commit to being together with honesty, integrity, and dedication, Jacqui can expand her repertoire of kombat experience, learn new things among the Shirai Ryu clan, and ain't no one going to risk getting skewered by Scorpion, crushed by Jax, AND thrown around like a ragdoll by Kenshi.
