Honestly, I think I understand why: The body horror. The Predator skinned it’s victims. It must have triggered Syzoth’s PTSD from his time as Shang Tsung’s slave.

The price of losing how family at a young age meant that his life would avoid the original sacrifice, allowing him to be more... himself. And human, for that matter.

That shows that he can still be redeemed. Hopefully he meets Sareena, I believe she is key to his redemption.

@@OGStarlightKYBi-Han was the catalyst for Sareena’s redemption in the last timelines, be quite poetic for it to happen with reversed roles.
It's probably the only line where he isn't an asshole.
Unfortunately and understandably, Kitana was right to be angry with him.
@@drockman92 It would be very poetic. Sareena can help him conquer the darkness within himself, it would be quite fitting since she’s a demon looking to subdue her own darkness.

Speaking of ninjas, I love how Kitana, Mileena and Rain aren't really confirmed as ninjas or assassins in this game but are still wearing masks either way and I know I know they have to wear masks anyways cuz it's one of their most important trademark since their debut in MK

Love how they handled Smoke, Syzoth, Baraka, and Li Mei in this game.
Agreed. More depth has been added to the jobbers, they're now up there with the main cast

A couple things I’ve noted so far.
1.everyone, even Shang Tsung is polite (more often than not super humble)
2. Shang Tsung was legitimately caught off guard by Titan Shang.
3. Shang even separated from the story would’ve still tried to save the timeline despite this timeline screwing him over
4.Reptile seems to get along with everyone except reiko and bi-Han.
5. Bi-Hans only regret from the story was the death of Sindel
6. Raiden (Elder God) and Liu Kang both doubted Johnny’s abilities as anything more a representative of Earthrealm lol
7. Reptile is terrified of Predator lmao could this be a fear of the creature itself or does Outworlder’s have a concept of movies?

There's actually one more as well, with one between Kenshi and Cage. The dialogue goes like this.
Kenshi: "I am NOT betting Sento!"
Cage: "*chicken imitation*"
It's goofy and also a callback to where Kenshi asked Cage to bet sento on the fight between Raiden and Kung Lao's fight to be the champion.
If anything smoke was the most convincing after doing that to madame bo

I love the reference of how when Raiden was Elder god, Liu Kang doubted Johnny's ability and when Liu Kang was the new Elder god and Raiden the mortal, Raiden had doubts of Johnny

This game's story was absolutely fantastic.
I have my cherry picks about it, but its definately better than any previous story mode.
I agree for the most part. The last 2 or so chapters trailed off to me though. I hope the inevitable Story Mode DLC figures some way to get rid of and stop the Hourglass and timelines BS.

Reptile is like the best example of that here. In the previous games, he was always a major villain but now, he's one of the purest characters in this game lol
1:20 I had to laugh out loud at the simultaneous roast of two characters. That amazing line delivery!

Bi-Han's facial expression on that last one is great. He looks legitimately remorseful, but when he sees the fight is going to happen, he swaps back to his scowl.

There are few things you misses, like Kitana talking about Mileena and Tanya relationship, all Nitara things, Smoke wanting to visit Madam Bo with Raiden, etc

I find Reptile and Smoke so precious, like Smoke being shocked about Kenshi breaking into Johnny's mansion, and Reptile being like "Hold up, you're not a beast?!"
I really hope one of the DLC characters get to ask Liu Kang, "Is Bi-Han a dick in every timeline?" because it seems like he is.
This Scorpion no longer has Quan Chi as a stalker, gets Havik instead.
I like how ashra doesn't like the hat at 5:03 even though it's the exact same one that she used to wear in the old timeline😂

My favourite part is Johnny reminding Sub-Zero that he owes him and Sub-Zero basically just saying "Nuh-uh."
Smoke's laugh at the beginning! And i knew it! He's caught the acting bug after being a fan of Johnny 😍
I love the fact that they're all basically close friends before fighting for no reason and possibly committing the most gut wrenching fatality to said close friends.
Hearing Bi Han spitefully claim Johnny will never see repayment is probably the most hilariously petty moment in the game.
I love how Baraka is giving Ashrah crap for mistaking him for a demon XD
Well, in prior timelines Tarkatans were half-demons, so I suppose it makes some sense that Tarkat would trigger demon alert in Ashrah... But still sad...
I like how Bi han isn't just an asshole, he actually has a code of honor, I'm glad the writers made sure of that.
I consider him misguided and misunderstood, not evil.

Yes. Liu Kang's entire THING is he wants them to have free will rather than feeling tied to him at the hip.
This is to give everyone a new start and the opportunity to coexist in peace. Letting people know how powerful or evil they could have been works like inception and easily leads them down the same path.

I am waiting for story DLC where the story is about Shirai Ryu rivalry with Lin Kuei. We could expand both Bi-Han and Kuai Liang’s character arcs.

When Sub Zero offers Condolences to Kitana for Her Mother’s death, you can tell by his facial expression that He was being genuine. A rare moment of Empathy from Bi Han
Raiden being young and humble, that is all.
I love how shang tsung was mostly honest about his actions, even if he was trying to help mileena the way he did it is still evil

It's crazy how Sub-Zero is even more than a villain that he ever was. Usually he is the level-headed foil to Scorpion, but now they completely swapped roles lol

The Shang Tsung mirror confirms the ending with Titan Shang Tsung not dying but getting away to call his evil Titan Army and gather friends from Chaos Realm ... hence it was only 1 round against him

Nitara had bad voice acting, her story wasn't much worse than Havik's or Reiko until they got their stories

Nitara’s storyline is actually fine as is. The only problem is that Megan Fox’s voice acting is hit or miss. The only lines that I do say are actually good is between Nitara and Johnny Cage as Fox actually sounds annoyed in those voice lines but that is it.

I like the idea of Johnny, Syoth, Ashrah, Smoke, Kung Lou, and Kenshi hanging out at Johnnys house drinking beers, eating pizza, watching Predator, Back to the Future, and It’s a Wonderful Life together.
