Well I work here at this six flags and this ride is one of the main reasons people come to the park and the waterpark. The Superman always has the longest lines. It is the most popular attraction in the park. It stays packed
I've ridden the one at Darien Lake and this coaster is alot more fun to ride than it looks. The first drop is pretty intense with a 75-80 degree drop and that first banked turn is amazing. Then the first helix you're still going 60-70 mph and when you hit that third hill you get a great amount of airtime. The ride slows down a little after that going up a helix and then 3 little hills but all coasters die down. It's a great ride.
I know this is a very unpopular opinion but I find this to be a really awesome hypercoaster! It may have a weird track layout but the floater airtime just after the first drop is amazing! Plus I love all the gforce and intensity!
I live near six flags Darian lake and we have the same coaster only it's completely a mirror image of this one. I was cool to see this one. From what I understand four of these exist. They are hidden gems. An amazing coaster.
This coaster is a clone of the one at Darien Lake, except for different scenery. The straight track was for over the lake to provide scenic views at Darien Lake. Here, the straight track is not over a lake and is awkward to go over. Hope this helps.
Everybody is always talking about six flags America , that’s the only six flags I’ve been to and too be honest it’s amazing . When we went there None of the rides were broken, all of them were open . All the rides are amazing and none of them cause discomfort. Tbh I feel like everyone is always bashing SFA for no reason , when I’ve been there multiple times and it honestly the best experience ever . Especially The Superman : ride of steel . So all of you bashing it must have went years ago when it wasn’t as amazing as it is now , and if not your talking shi for no reason .
I just rode this today it was the biggest one I’ve ever ridden. I highly recommend it… also go on Tuesday Superman had a 10 minute wait in the middle of the day
If your stats are correct for this, then their are some minor differences then the one at Darien Lake. For one example, the one at Darien lake is 205 feet tall with a 200 ft drop not 197 with a 205 like you said this one was
I want to do it but I don’t want to deal with that horrible stomach butterfly feeling on the drops. Is there a way I can stop that feeling and feel nothing or does the ride not feel like anything because of how fast it is. I only want to do it if I don’t feel the dropping sensation in my stomach
Avoid the back rows because they accelerate faster down the drop. Probably car 3 or so would be your best bet. All rows will have you come out of your seat, but that acceleration creates more feeling than the airtime on its own.
Still, the shaping of the track, especially on the hills, allowed for some good flojector air, whereas MF has gradual hills which literally do nothing. The shaping of this ride is similar to Superman at SFNE.
Barc i believe millennium force is slightly overrated but saying you would have this over millennium force is insane, but every one is entitled to their own opinion i guess
coasters are not usually forever but they normally last long enough to where youre not worried about having to remove it. the reason for the big concrete footers is because this ride is a mirrored clone of another ride which had different terrain. rather than redesigning the supports it just cheaper and easier to raise the concrete footings a bit higher to reach. this ride isnt the only example of wired pillars of concrete
Coaster Channel 1000 No, Six Flags America used to be a crappy Zoo, then Premier Parks bought the park, then in 1998 they bought Six Flags and converted many of their parks to the Six Flags name around 2000. Disneys America was a completely different park in a completely different state. Learn your shit before you post, you dumbass GP
Six Flags New England is a lot better. That thing desperately needs a fresh coat of paint, and it is literally the most boring thing I looked at. That’s not your fault it’s whoever designed it’s fault
Let’s list things in the one in New England that makes it better than this one Less helixes More airtime hills MORE THEMING FOR THE LOVE OF GOD And it just doesn’t have so many ugly concrete supports
Disagree. It's certainly fairly simple but yet really fun. I love the consistent speed, and that first low turn is very unique. With the proximity to the ground and the duration it seems like the ride is in fast forward at that point. The helices (well at least the first, and part of the second) are way faster in velocity than almost any other in existence and that first flat section sets up the strongest hill on the ride while giving riders more time to enjoy the speed. Way more exciting of a ride than say Steel Force in my opinion, which has a solid helix but many mediocre air hills with way slower pacing.

You still work here?
When you hit “auto complete” on RCT...
Lmao
That's so tru tho
🤣
Lol
Intamin: Alright, good enough, let's go on vacation :D
This ride deserves the name Helix more than te real one.

Dude when the drop came it felt like you were about to fall out of the coaster,it’s a amazing feeling
Replies to this video:
90% the straight track section.
10% the rest of the coaster.

irishmusiclover100 I agree. I enjoy it a lot!
I agree
It’s terrifying went today.
as silly as the straight track looks im sure i will really like this ride whenever i eventually get around to it
This looks like some of the coasters I used to build in RCT games.
This is still one of my favorites that I've ridden so far along with Firebird and Batwing
This ride is supposed to make you feel like your having fun.
Well atleast it somewhat does
Im crying at these comments
Werner Stengel just gave up designing this one
I live near six flags Darian lake and we have the same coaster only it's completely a mirror image of this one. I was cool to see this one. From what I understand four of these exist. They are hidden gems. An amazing coaster.
They need to repaint the coaster
*WHO PUT THAT STRAIGHT TRACK?!*
There was an airtime hill but it broke and sixflags thought it would be cheap to put in a straight track...
Where?

@@gavinb1598 It is not the same, it is a mirror version of Ride of Steel in Six Flags Darien Lake
@Cocoskrill I meant to say it was a clone of it.
Yoo I remember nobody was really getting on anymore and I’m tmr and my friends was going back to back🤣we stayed on when it ended

It’s the exact same thing as the ride of steel at Six Flags Darien Lake. Only difference is they go opposite directions
On the Facts section you wrote or. Replace the R with an F
Nice onride. You got yourself a new dutch subsciber :)
Best ride in the park!!
Very underrated. My #7 intamin out of 15 beating out the stratas, volcano & storm runner.
ThatIntaminGuy Is this ride really that good? Doesn’t seem that great compared to TTD or Storm Runner.
bean boozled While TTD & SR are both exhilarating, SROS has length, fun factor and great airtime.
@@panzerkampfwageniv4065 it all depends on what you look for in a ride.
Why did they put straight track? they should have put an airtime hill
The SROS in Darien Lake is much better!
Jessa Hourihan and they are mirrored of each other. That has straight problems to.

Sorry. It's 208 not 205 in height

You only feel the funny feeling when ur going up when u go down it turns into wtf am i doing here followed by either screaming or psychotic laughter.
why does it look slower on camera then it is irl
When ur mom asks “how was school today?” 1:41
RTC2 called. It wants it’s ride blueprints back
I was there Monday of last week. It was hot as hell. What day did you go on?
Last month
Really wish Cedar Point would've gotten something even like this instead of Millennium Force, I was blown away by Superman at SFNE
This is a completely different ride than the one at sfne and I prefer MILLENUIM Force to it
Still, the shaping of the track, especially on the hills, allowed for some good flojector air, whereas MF has gradual hills which literally do nothing. The shaping of this ride is similar to Superman at SFNE.
Barc i believe millennium force is slightly overrated but saying you would have this over millennium force is insane, but every one is entitled to their own opinion i guess
More like Cedar Point having both this AND Millenium Force
Superman-ride of Straight
Superman-ride of helix’s
Too many names
Imagine how many rides/new area they could of put in than ride of steel.
Anyone else agree that this coaster has the most potential to be the best by a redo
I got stuck on this ride a while ago lmao
How long does it take to get you down
Mark Rampersad can range anywhere from 10 minutes to two hours
When this wonderful ride's life is done, who's going to remove those massive concrete supports? What were they thinking? Coasters are never 'forever'.

Hey did you know that Six Flags America was originally going to be a Disney Park
🤣
James C 😂😂🤣🤣
No dumbass, you're thinking of Disney's America, A park in VIRGINIA, this is MARYLAND
Coastaku no but they changed it later in plans and then six flags took it
Coaster Channel 1000 No, Six Flags America used to be a crappy Zoo, then Premier Parks bought the park, then in 1998 they bought Six Flags and converted many of their parks to the Six Flags name around 2000. I’m too scared to even go to rage in adventure island 😅😅😅
Girl is looking rough. They did her dirty.
How was no one even screaming???
because its boring
No it’s not
Darien lake version is way better
..........What the fuck is that layout?
The straight track is so pointless, this coaster literally repeats itself! The helixes are so drawn out.
Six Flags New England is a lot better. That thing desperately needs a fresh coat of paint, and it is literally the most boring thing I looked at. That’s not your fault it’s whoever designed it’s fault
Rides look slower on video! It's really fast and thrilling!
The 2nd element is a helix are you kidding me😐
And wow look at that straight section followed by a airtime hill and ANOTHER HELIX WOW
Intamin rarely builds a bad coaster, but as far as layouts go, this is pretty fucking bad. Bland as a motherfuker
Actually this coaster is really boring
Foreal
What a boring coaster....
Let’s list things in the one in New England that makes it better than this one

AdrianReactsTV But SROS has better restraints that STR
By far the worst hypercoaster ever made and probably the worst intamin ever made
Worst hypercoaster probably goes to Raging Bull, Goliath (SFMM), Fujiyama something like that. Worst intamin goes to Indiana Jones @ Disneyland Paris.
Disagree. It's certainly fairly simple but yet really fun. I love the consistent speed, and that first low turn is very unique. SROS > Steel Force imo but Steel Force surprised me.
It was always an enjoyable ride and certainly not a bad coaster, just never really excited me.
I wasn't expecting anything above a weaker magnum, except I like SF just a smidget more than Magnum for it being smoother.
