The idea of getting your medical supplies a twin bed made me think of my health conditions as a clingy child who I have to take care of that never leaves me alone 😂 thank you for that visual.

Fun fact: "Fake" banana flavor actually tastes like bananas used to taste. The Gros Michel banana was the norm until it got susceptible to a disease in the 1950s and was unable to be saved. Scientists were left to engineer another banana which is what we eat today, the Cavendish. But the candy banana flavor is actually what the Gros Michel tasted like! I am a fan of fake banana...

I'm wondering Mary if you use a carabiner to feed your feeding tube through to pick it up off the ground so you won't step on it? Maybe tape it on the carabiner?

Mary what if you tread the tube up inside of the back of your shirt and into your backpack. that way you don't have the same problems. and it won't be hanging out at the bottom. food for thought

Artificial banana flavoring is actually based off a real variety of banana! The reason many people find it too "artificial" tasting is because the base banana variety is no longer available. We now eat a different kind!

In French, cotton candy is called "barbe à papa" which means, translated literally, "daddy's beard" ... kinda weird ! Cotton candy makes much more sense :) sending love and good vibes to the two of you ❤️

Thanks guys. I ended up in Dollar Tree today and almost grabbed those strawberry hard candies Peter likes thanks to Peter for bringing them up, but I did buy the butterscotch ones though. It is the entire store I was like what could this be used for? Every time I saw a bucket or something useful thanks to Mary.
An idea for your medical supplies..use a shoe organizer for the wall next to your bed, or put a shelf above your headboard, or a pouch pocket that fits on the side of the mattress.
Wow...drone's are totally worth having just for the beautiful sunsets you can capture.

I LOVE cotton candy too! When I was about 13, my friend and I volunteered for our school's festival and were assigned to make cotton candy for a few hours. We had so much fun! But afterwards I had very sticky hair from the bits that escaped and floated up from the machine!

Today was a great vlog… We got to see Mary go from not feeling well to what seem to be feeling much better. I'm so glad you were able to go to all the different stores that you want to.
But… I had to go back and rewatch the "Oliver in the backseat while everybody's eating candy" video! It seems at first he's like "hey guys going to send some back here" then he licks his lips and he gives up! Why is he so cute?
What about a hydration backpack for the feeding tube? Take out the thing that holds the liquid and replace it with the feed pouches. The tube can be threaded through the strap so it doesn't hang so much?

been doing a lot of that lately or trying! my health has gotten so much worse this past year, 6mo esp, and it's been so frustrating bc I need surgery very badly for one thing but I'm not healthy enough for it bc of all the other illnesses it's a neverending cycle!!! but your videos encourage me so thank you guys!! ❤💜🐕

In Australia we call cotton candy fair floss. But we also think sprinkles on buttered bread counts for a party food. Take it as you will.
So proud of you! Try using a small clothespin, chip bag clip, a butterfly hair clip or even the little metal clips that come with ID badges to hold a loop or two of your feeding tube up under your shirt clipped to your waistband on your side or wherever you feel it to be comfortable. You might have to wrap a sturdy elastic (like a cloth-covered ponytail band) or a short strip off a roll of Velcro stripping around the loops of tubing and use your clip to hold that to your clothes if the clip isn't big enough to hold both the tubing and clothing, or would pinch the tubing off. You really don't want a big bulky clip pulling on your clothing! The smaller the better. But you can remove or relocate the clipped loops easily and they will not be hanging underfoot. We use something similar to hold the weight of ventilator tubes when parents hold their tiny premies in the NICU--there's often more equipment and tubing than baby, and just one tug on a tube can dislodge it or hurt the baby, so we clip the loops of tubes to the parents' shirt or to the chair with Velcro strip clips so the weight isn't born by the baby.

Hammonds Candy, the name on your cotton candy, is a well known candy store in Denver Colorado and has been there for many years. They are famous for their candy canes. If you ever go to Denver make it a point to take a tour, it is really fun!!

yeah, I saw that article and thats immediately what I thought of when they got the tennis ball. Tennis balls would blow up in dogs mouths. I hope they are extremely careful when doing that. It scared me so much.

If you do not get the mini one extensions the mic-key button extensions will work just fine. They are both comparable with each tube
I got cotton candy in a bag and didn't eat it right away and it turned into a hard lump in two weeks, it was a fun science experiment if nothing else. Got love TJ's for super random food options.
the Styrofoam squares are like gold in my town! I had been saving them for teacher friends to use for art stuff. eventually I had SO many I put them out in the large bins for trash (Styrofoam cannot be recycled here) I had people stopping before I could even take more to the curb! apparently it is a really good to use as installation in walls, under trailers, etc. I. old believe how many people wanted it and would wait for it!. I get the big silver bags now that people love for grocery bags too

you can get a cotton candy maker at walmart. I have one and it works really great.

You may need a longer tube. Every time I have pain inside my stomach, it's because I've out grown my most recent tube. I'm currently at a 2.5 in tube.

The Frey Life I have a G-Tube but I'm assuming any "extreme body piercing" that's too small would react the same way. Maybe bring it up before you get your new mini in?

You should use a backpack for drinks with the tube through the strap? Then you could feed the feeding tube through there and not have it trailing so much it would be safer
I always jokingly tell people when they ask if I want a bag to "save a plastic tree" and it always makes me think of those little Lego trees.
My sons tube likes to get caught on door handles. Medical supplies slowly take over the house lol

at my college, they always give out free cotton candy every wednesday and thursday for the summer!! And since i have a semester during the summer i can get fresh cotton candy twice a week! it's pretty cool

I some some times feel really blind. I'll look at the tv with my glasses on and the screen totally clear. Then I'll take my glasses off and the screen goes blurry. If there are word I see blobs and faces become unrecognizable. How many people here wear glasses or contacts, thumbs up if you do.

I haven’t had cotton candy since the last Disney on ice performance that I attended which was about 11 or 12 months ago. Watching you eat it makes me really want it.
My daughter has a separate J tube and a g tube and we tape down in two places to prevent it from being pulled out, she's fed into her j tube and her g tube is there to drain her stomach so we tuck that one down her leg. Her j tube is literally only held in place by tape though so we have had lots of times where it has come out! It gets less scary the longer you have it though ☺️☺️

Now all I can think about having is cotton candy. I have no working vehicle to go try and find cotton candy. UGH!! I know that I'm going to be craving this for the rest of the night and probably all day tomorrow. lol. Being on Prednisone hasn't helped to make me NOT want to eat constantly. I've been so good, snacking on yogurt, raisins, and canned fruit (I can't eat "uncooked" fruit) Time to call someone to find me cotton candy. Cuz I've been good and deserve it, right? lol.
