I always wondered whether fancy food was really worth the price tag - so I decided to buy some and try it. Never thought I’d drop £70 on a box of chocolates… could do with your support on this video haha
You make me want to move to the UK and take on the responsibility of being your personal bodyguard so this channel can remain a going concern indefinitely.
£13 for 3 rolls it's raw fish means no money spent on cooking, no money spent on lights, like I said bait to catch the fish a rod a knife to gut and chop it with, rice roll and a fridge and packaging to put the tiny rolls in is You're only expense. £13 is a rip off
Hullo from New Zealand, gotta say I agree with you on the Manuka honey (pronounced Ma Noo Car), pretty icky stuff - and a bit of a rort if I remember rightly. You’re a smart man to do videos on expensive foods, I often see videos of the cheapest or worst foods going viral and I feel sorry for the creators because they’re kind of stuck in a rut of bad food then, to get the views 😂 Keep it up lad 👍👍👍
Laughing my head you have never had honey 😂😂 but equally how would you know stay your comparing it too!? Brilliant video! Made me laugh the entire way through! 😂❤
Manuka honey bees pollinate tea tree plant/tree and I have never tasted it but its described as tasting like medicine lol, suppose like licking tea tree oil 😂
Shoes Ed you could have had a wry smile at some of the sizes of women's shoes in Harrods! UK 11, 12, 13 ! mmm wonder who buys those? individuals with those size of foot!
Yes manuka honey is over rated ,ppl buy it from my work place where everything it expansive, if its named organic or artisan, gourmet read the ingredients its words ppl mostly pay for .🤔❤love your vlogs 🇦🇺👍☺ Oh chocolate has to be Cadbury all the way my number 1 than tim tams .
it will be.. claim it back via self assessment with hmrc.. sidemen do it all the time with their 100k vs 100£ videos shopping videos. ... makes for great content
Manuka honey is special given it’s the manuka tree the bees pollinate from. Forget culinary use although it is nice it’s also a very very good healer. Used for burns, scars and minor wounds. So don’t waste it all. Also FYI you can get the EXACT same Manuka honey from Aldi or Lidl, when I say it’s the same it’s literally the same lol.
It's a shame you didn't try Fortnum & Mason. I popped in there a few days ago and was genuinely shocked at the prices, all you pay for is the fancy packaging and the brand name. I walked back out and got me tea bags in Tescos.
As a New Zealander, that was very cute hearing you try to pronounce Manuka. Manuka honey has medicinal properties. You can pronounce it easier by trying "ma-new-ka"
“You are a moron” £45 on a chocolate bear….💀 This was so funny and true. Cheap chocolate seems expensive now. But this was great to watch. I love the idea of chocolate covered pistachio’s, but I’d rather just cover them in chocolate myself for that price.
These prices are insanely high. You could've at least got something you know you'd like lol. You could do a similar video where you try the cheapest foods around and give them a taste for us. Tescos and morrisons do loads of that type of stuff.
You’ve never been to Selfridges before??? It’s Harrods but more for us poor people to feel like we’re rich or treating ourselves. Harvey Nichols even more so, their food haul is good though for very niche stuff or gifts though just like Selfridges
manuka honey isnt regular honey! it's a special type of honey that have great properties like being anti inflammatory. and while yes I get that its expensive, but there's a reason why it is that way.
@@EdChapman23technically no, they ingest it and it goes into their “honey stomachs” where the nectar get turned into honey and they regurgitate it into the honey combs in the hive. Bee keepers say it’s not Bee vomit because they don’t digest it……. But it’s fun to tell people it’s Bee vomit 🤣
Hello from New Zealand thank you so much for your videos I really enjoy them 😊 oh that honey I'm not to keen on but it does have very good health benefits
Hi Ed, I've got a challenge for you. Buy a metal detector and head to your nearest beach and see how much money or jewellery you can find over whatever time period you set yourself. Then you have to survive for the next day on the proceeds of whatever you find.
First time my husband has watched one of your vids with me, he has just subscribed.. He works in London and was not having the meltdown I was at a £70 box of chocolate’s.. apparently it’s normal 🤦🏼♀️😂 He’s not allowed to do the shopping 😂 Great vid Ed 👏🏻
My New Year’s resolution is to not destroy self-check out machines. As a disabled person sometimes I need help. I know John Lewis costs more but the staff at Victoria Quarter always are happy to help me.The discount stores are not designed for physical disabilities. Thus my resolution.
@EdChapman23 I'd have guessed that also, its just great to see you go from I need to make some money to stuff like this. Hope you keep it man, really enjoy your sense of humor.
M&S isn't even that bad... Tesco sell a jar of Hilltop Premium Manuka Honey 500+ Mgo 225G for twenty quid... TWENTY POUNDS and the jar you bought was 250g robbing Aldi price matching scum 😂😂😂
Greeting from outside the UK. Manuka honey has medicinal properties and has variations on that property. There is a reason why it is more costly. Can't speak for sausage rolls.
Worth every penny is Harrods Food Hall what an amazing place. Shop normally at Marks and Sparks or Waitrose. Only because Harrods is only in London. Which might be a blessing in reality.
Hi, I’m a qualified nail tech just asking you to check in with your doctor. Not to scare you but your finger nails are very purple and this can be a sign of circulation problems, cyanosis, heart problems etc. Better safe than sorry but rang alarm bells enough for me to comment!
Diminishing returns, like everything. And we already have such high standards of food for very low prices that spending massively more on most products is simply not worth it. There is only so good a biscuit or some honey can be, for example. I mean, one is flour and sugar and fat, the other is just sugar.
Genuine question, how cheap is food in the UK if these items are considered expensive???? I'm very surprised that 23 bucks for a tin of chocolate covered pistachio is considered expensive.
Manuka honey is expensive because it’s rare and has strong antibacterial properties. It’s not known for its fantastic flavor. I prefer to buy an inexpensive antibacterial product and tasty honey - but hey, that’s just me.
I always wondered whether fancy food was really worth the price tag - so I decided to buy some and try it. Never thought I’d drop £70 on a box of chocolates… could do with your support on this video haha

Bee vomit 🐝🤮 is apparently good for you,😂
It's not just you don't worry
👍Good to see you back again Ed Chapman
More expensive does not mean better taste. It usually only means more exclusive ingredients: chocolate beans that were harvested by blind orphans etc.
😂
You can't pass on cheap labour!
Cheers pal didn’t realise
Lindt does taste much better than Cadbury's for example but £41 no thanks it can't be that much better than Lindt.
You make me want to move to the UK and take on the responsibility of being your personal bodyguard so this channel can remain a going concern indefinitely.
fair enough
Bless you. I realise I'm old when a young person thinks £13 for sushi is expensive 😂
It is expensive no electric because it's raw just gut the fish put rice in and roll it .
Nothing expensive apart from the rod to catch the fish with
£4 at tescos
It also doesn’t fill you up, I can get a full burger chips and drink for less
Yeah £13 for maybe 2-3 rolls would be a normal price if they're nice.

I hope this comment contributes at least 0.000001% towards paying for those chocolates!
The chocolates from harrods won’t have been £70. The carrier bag will be a tenner I’m guessing lol
my bank account can confirm, definitely 70 quid haha
You’re my comfort channel. Cheers Ed

I often ask my self why do I keep watching u eat stuff the answer is I dunoooo but I’m here it

Fish & Chips in Harrods ...................... £37

I'm never complaining about the cost of a Lindt Easter bunny ever again after this video
looks like an absolute bargain now
Bees have spent millions of years honing their honey making craft, only for Ed to state, “I feel like I could do better with my own saliva”… 😂😂😂
I've got a point
Honey is bee vomit. If they didn’t vomit it up, we’d had a hard time being able to digest it; apparently.
Hope all that food is considered a business expense holy moly 😮
