Black pool you having a laugh hah come on I thought it was Luton that’s crap wow I’m only saying that bc I was born in Blackpool nah that analytic has got to be wrong what I’m going to Blackpool in 2 weeks
As a kid in the 80's, Blackpool was a magical place with so many happy memories of the rollercoasters, the tower, hot donuts, ice cream, joke shops etc. Sadly returning as an adult smashes those magical memories into little atom sized pieces. It may have been just as bad in the 80's but you don't notice such things as a kid. To be honest, I still get that childhood buzz when I visit but it's a shadow of it's former self. Even now, driving on the motorway waiting to see the tower on the horizon is still a buzz from being a kid, thinking for a split second that every electricity pylon was the tower 😂
I think most of the trouble is drunk people on the weekend. I live here and I don't see a lot of violent crime at all. I'd love to see you come back in summer, it can get crazily busy. I recommend the passaje del terror though, I'd love to see you go in there. You're like a younger Karl Pilkington and I'm here for it.
Great video as always! I particularly liked that you pointed out the McDonald's- it is the only time I've ever entered a McDonalds and been offered drugs then threatened to be beaten up and on the way out accosted by a lady who wanted to read me her poetry.
I wrote some poetry about 'Hallmark movies' on here (under a funny hallmark meme) If you want to read it! ;) Your comment was funny & made me smile & imagine your crazy night out. McDonald's isn't where I'd expect to go to meet poets to be fair but even if have the odd McDonald's. (& I'm a poet!) There's also the whole 'poor artist stereotype' which would fit with eating in an affordable place.) Ps: couldn't resist. I really did write the poem. So if you fancy a read then go for it. I'm also a woman. Sycronicities.
Blackpool is great. Hardly dangerous-it’s got its rough areas but so has most places. I happily went out at night with my 6 year old in Blackpool and felt very safe-I wouldn’t walk around parts of London or Birmingham though at night. Great video though and I like your sense of humour-eating fish n chips in the bath?! 😂
Blackpool is wicked place to live or visit , friends live there so I visit a lot , don't see any violence or fights , very quite place in winter , great for cycling with a massive sea front !
Love your videos Ed always brightens my day. I used to live and work in Blackpool and have been going every year without and has always been my favourite to visit sometimes feel safer and happier there than home (Birmingham). I worked on the trams, Pleasure Beach and Blackpool Tower during my time there and been on almost every ride at the theme park and enjoyed it and Blackpool Tower will always be better than Eiffel Tower to me. Nice to see Funky Towers a former regular hotel of mine so many memories and once you get past the theme park down by the glitter ball down the bottom it's much nicer, always love walking down that part of the promenade and the beach down there is better. But, generally Blackpool is decent and wish I knew you was there I'd have booked up would be good to bump into you.
As a teenager, a big group of us spent a few weekends bar/club crawling in Blackpool. The last time we went, we were in a club when all of a sudden, out of nowhere, my then-boyfriend was smashed in the face with a glass ashtray. I tried to stop the fight that ensued, but was shoved so hard by the ashtray guy that I went flying and one of the other guys we were with caught me. As far as I'm aware, my bf did NOTHING to deserve that! The nice bouncers "stitched" his nose back up with some sutures so we didn't have to go to the hospital.
I’ve been to Blackpool 3 times and 2 of those times were with my kids. I felt safer there than I would in London. I live in a quiet seaside town called Lowestoft and we still get burglaries, stabbings etc here and it doesn’t help that the council think it’s a good idea to turn off the street lights at midnight 🙄
Another great video Ed. Love them.. I was impressed with the hotel tbh.i mean it was clean! lol. Stayed in grotty hotel in Blackpool, sort of put me off ever going again. Shame the tower wasn't open, would have loved to see you at the top knowing you don't like heights, me neither. Thanks for entertaining us watchers!
I wasn't expecting the video to be related to DANGER after seeing the sneak peek of you eating fish and chips in a bathtub yesterday.. Nevertheless, I'm boutta feast my eyes on some quality content.
If you ever do a vid about Fish and Chips from seaside towns, I can heartily recommend The Mermaid in Barmouth and The Chip Box 4 in Aberystwyth. Also, The Black Country Museums Fish and Chip shop ones are very good also.
Haha this made me laugh because I was on a rollercoaster that derailed on the pleasure beach when I was a kid and had to get rescued and climb down an emergency ladder 😂
"time to go and mingle,,, and see if we can get stabbed" lmao, great video Ed. If you fancy a touch challenge , go for a wander around Jaywick, and see where it takes you. Take us with you though, because i wouldn't be brave enough to have a wander.
Another televisual feast bought to you by the man himself, Ed ! Great video, you kept me laughing all the way through. Glad you had a good time Keep the videos coming please, we love you .
It has it's ups and downs. Great antiques centre in an old cinema just off the main drag. has a brilliant cafe too. BUT, if you live up here and have heart problems, Blackpool hospital is THE place to go to get sorted out. It's fantastic.
Wouldn't call Grimsby 'dangerous'. I was born there and I'm still alive 27 years later. Full of lovely friendly people. Definitely got its rough edges but just like every other city/town in the UK. Also excellent Fish & Chips.
Ed's an absolute genius! Nobody else could wander around Blackpool in November and have a bath with fish and chips and make it worth watching! I challenge you to make Southampton a worthwhile watch!😂
My memories of Blackpool is having to swim a way from a turd in the sea when I was a kid an my mates stag do , he got his wallet nicked in a bar some how
Them Christmas markets are a copy paste up and down the country.. There's probably a vlog in that alone if someone could be arsed visiting enough cities to make one.
Dude!!!! That battered cod looked absolutely banging!!!! Loved the whole video bro keep up this epic stuff we love it! All you need is that one video to pop and go viral don't give up!
Always know I"m going to lol with your vlogs Ed! First meal I've seen you eat without a knife and fork! Would we also see you cutlery free if you ate a pizza in the bathi? 🤔
so, just did a search about the mirror ball you looked at, it was installed in 2002 and is apparently the worlds largest mirror ball and was name after the 1969 Hollywood film "They Shoot Horses Don't They?" which had a large mirror ball and here i wqs thinking it was to do with the original Come Dancing that began in the 1950's and was held at the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool and the winner got a huge trophy and that show was the inspiration for Strictly Come Dancing.
@GamingPipAlt. I thought the same thing! Strictly makes a huge song and dance (pun intended!) about Blackpool - it would be the least they could do! The giant glitter ball would make sense then! Loved the vid as usual Ed - I wish the Pleasure Beech would have been open though - it would be jokes to see Ed on The Big One! ( is it still called that?! - I've not been for years to that fair) I think it was originally called "The Pepsi Max" then likesay it changed it's name to "The Big One" I went on it once and I'd never go on it again - it was painful, I was covered in bruises, a very scary ride✌
I have the opportunity to have so many friends. I'm stupid open about many things. People like me. I don't have time for too many friends though. I'm an entertainer and being open as a comedian also makes me money, but I don't tell ppl about our finànces... I don't know. My life is pretty fun. 🎉
I used to live here a few months ago was on a street called bothroydon road it can be such a lovely place but the negative always shows though the beauty😢
If you go beyond the tourist areas then the dark side presents itself. Like Revoe area, Central Drive etc. When I lived in South Shore, things happened on an almost daily basis and there were a handful of extreme instances

its semi peaceful here in november during summer its terrible and if you go a couple of streets behind all the attractions youll realise why its so dangerous pretty fast

ironically criminally underrated lol

Eats a burger with a knife and fork and then just lifts the fish and eats it. 😂😂 Legend
in the bath as well 😭😭
Was thinking the same hahah😂
Tbf he was in the bath, would have looked mental if he did
What a comedic genius Ed is. Even the Pain au Chocolat with baked beans was perfection.
The hardest geezer in Britain is back to sort the people out
He's the one doing the 800 violent crimes while he's there 🤣
