@@shahrulamar5358 Yes, it is a sad twist of fate in the Kennedy family that Robert would follow John in 1968, not to become president, but to die by assassination, and as mentioned above, be buried in Arlington Cemetery.
Hoover was cross dresser and a bad looking one! He had a real hatred for he Kennedys'. I think him being a closet gay and hiding that fact just pissed him off. He was a frustred homosexual and he didn't and knew he would never get the admiration from the public as the Kennedy's. He knew a lot of dirt on the Kennedy's and wanted it brought out to the public eventually. I guess it made him feel better about his own situation. That's a typical jealous, vengeful person stance.
I don't recall all the discrimination about being Catholic in the 60s. It was discussed among the older men but I don't remember it actually being broadcast on television as open discrimination. And that question to Jackie about coming from a "broken family" I don't recall anything like that. Again, Hollywood exaggerations.
Indeed. Plus, Irish looked fully white. Italians were a different matter in the 60s, as they still seemed sufficiently foreign to give pause. Just like the Hispanics of today.
+Jennifer De Stephens As someone that grew up in Boston and once road in a limo with Joe Kennedy to the compound in Hyannisport, I would say that the accents are exaggerated.
There's some great old cars in this.I'm almost as nostalgic about the cars as I am the people!
Martin Sheen is the best and when he played Jeb Bartlett in the west wing that was awesome and even better
"In 1968 you can follow him..."
Well, he did follow him, but alas, not quite to the place they had in mind, but to a different place.
That’s some eerie historical foreshadowing right there.
Arlington. 😟😟😟

It is interesting that the actors in this film speak in Boston accents like the real Kennedys.

Darth Kieduss *you shouldn’t be as that is that is definitively generational FYI smh*
There was a time when that word was commonplace. It’s only more recently that people shun that word.
