HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 27 май 2023
- Redoing the exterior of the Four Wheel Camper Eagle was a major milestone and I am so excited about how it looks. This thing is going to look almost as good as it did the day it rolled off the production line!

Thanks so much! You've inspired me to keep my older Hawk. Made a dollie for it this afternoon.
That’s awesome!
Super impressive. You'll be camping in no time.
Thank you! I can feel it haha
Right on, this is a great buildout.............. ! !
Thank you!
Dude-- you're killing it. Know it's been a lot of work and looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Thank you, I appreciate it. It’s getting there!
Wow, amazing work! You make it look easy, envy your skills. Looking forward to seeing what you decide for the inside
Thank you, I appreciate it! Definitely looks easier than it is!
You did an amazing job, looks so much better. I hope after all this work that you decide to keep it for a long time lol. Can't wait to see what you do to the interior.
Thank you! I plan to hang on to this until I find something better lol, whatever that may be!
Looks great.
Thank you!
Damn, super impressed! I haven’t painted mine yet. I was trying to decide whether I brushed it or sprayed it. That brush job looks pretty good mine is just smooth siding
Thank you! You can’t even tell it was brushed. The wood texture siding certainly helps blend things in. For smooth siding, it would either roller or spray. Brush strokes will be a lot harder to hide on smooth siding.
Gonna be so satisfying when you finally get it out in them thar hills. You will have gone thru literally every square inch of that thing with your own two hands. All that time & effort! Mad respect my friend.
I’m only a few more weekends away 😉. I’ll have no one to blame but myself for any issues now haha. Thanks man!
@@pnwxplore Seriously, when you tore out the entire floor I was certain it would be next year before you finished! Looks like yer on track to prove me very wrong!
Damn brother, you're killing it on this rebuild. I had to do the same on a '67 Aloha trailer I had and OMG it's a process that took me 8 months.... Hat's off to you Sir.
Thank you! It’s definitely a large undertaking for sure, especially trying to get it done in only a few months. Thanks for tuning in!
Great job...this camper is looking SO MUCH better, and the upgrades you've done mean it will give you years of dependable service going forward. Can't wait to see what you have in store for the roof and the interior!
Thanks so much! I’m super happy with how it’s turning out! Cheers
Looks great! I am currently starting my rebuild on a FWC 98 ranger II. I am overwhelmed but after watching your video I feel encouraged. I’m not touching much of my exterior but the inside and floor packs are my main projects at the moment. Thank you for documenting your rebuild!!!
Good luck on your rebuild! Just don’t rush anything and measure measure measure! The floor in hindsight was the easiest part so far I thing haha! Break it down into chunks and steps and you’ll make it through, it’s worth it!
Wow!! Very nice work!!! It looks amazing!!! You are doing a great job!!! Looking forward to the next episode!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Great job! Looks incredible so far. I’m so pumped to see it finished and out and about!
Thank you! Hope to get it out here in the next few weeks 🤞
Im getting back my 2004 Grandby sure could use a parts list lol , I hope nothing major , will be going to look at it in a couple weeks or so 🤞🍀
Hopefully it has stayed in good shape! Weather is not kind to campers and RVs over time.
@@pnwxplore it’s in So cal so I have that going for me as far as the weather goes , hopefully at the very least canvas is intact 🙏
You made some awesome progress! Keep it up! I'm really enjoying this series.
Thank you!
Looks great! Lots of progress and great to see. When you do the top, will you be redoing any of the cloth? I dont know where i saw it but some added a skirt that is attached to the outside of the top and protects that channel where you thought you had that leak. I could see that being a little extra work when setting up but nice to know any rain that hits it will be directed over and away from that area.
Another area you may consider but i doubt its a big deal is your new bottom pannel board has a flat surface where water can sit. If that was chamfered, it would prevent it from sitting there and allow it to run off naturally.
Cant wait to see the next video! Youre killing it. You gotta feel good about it now!
I have no plans at this moment to redo the canvas. But I’m sure I’ll do something down the road, likely sew my own.
Yeah I could add a chamfer, but it ultimately won’t matter a ton. Similar to facia on a house and should last many years with reg maintenance.
Thanks for tuning in, I appreciate it!
@@pnwxplore very true, sometimes it's just more work or unneeded for the length it will be around. Don't need indestructible parts when someone only keeps it for 5-10 years
I didn’t have a router when I made the piece and now I do, could have rounded the edge!
Looking awesome!! You can definitely hear the excitement in your voice after hitting those little milestones during the build. What was the initial price of the camper?
Lots of little milestones in this build! Paid $7k which was def more than I should have. Lessons learned though!
Where did you source all the parts? I.e screws edge trim, seam tape, rubber gaskets latches and so on.
If you see this thanks for the inspiration and help redoing my FWC!
Still doing awesome. Where are you getting the slot trim that goes over the screws on the Jack brackets? Keep it going!!!
Thank you! I got the trim off Amazon www.amazon.com/dp/B003YJHYT4/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_06Y3DBN686XMKBE05Q59?linkCode=ml2&tag=12vpower-20
What wood and paint did you use for the floor? Looking great.
Hey thank you! I used 3/4 sanded sandiply from Home Depot and just some exterior latex house paint. Still looks fresh almost a year later.
Do you happen to have the info for the 3D prints you used for the little trap doors?
It’s actually a design of my own. If there is interest, I can print some and list them on my Etsy store. highdesert3dprints.etsy.com
I actually have a 3D printer if you still have the file I’d love to send you money for your time if you still have the file?
What kind of paint?
Rustoleum gloss white
