this is why the laws about bicycles not allowed on sidewalks should be lifted. bikes are much slower than traffic that you are risking your life on certain streets. it is a stupid law that should take into consideration the situation. you can't control how others drive but you should have a choice where to ride for overall safety.
Exactly, with all the parked cars and traffic, it only takes a split second. Pedestrians and cyclists have as much responsibility in keeping themselves safe as the motorist does.
Let’s change the narrative and blame the parents for child endangerment for riding in such a high traffic area. That driver will probably just get fines/Community Service meaning $$$ goes to the court
@@sendthis9480 I hate the victim blamers too. But in this case , when riding with kids like that, it seems prudent to choose a route with little traffic and slower moving cars . And why does race have to be injected into everything ? There isn't even a hint of sympathy for the driver in that comment. You created that in your lackluster imagination .
Driver's fault 100%. Driving under the influence, hit and run, lacking situational awareness, etc. Streets are also too car-centric, making cyclist either cycling on the sidewalk whether it's legal or not, or be forced to cycle bedside traffic.

Great job to all the people who helped ❤
Driving under the influence, and riding in a dangerous street.
Parents put the kids at risk by riding in a high traffic area.

Exactly…. Who would put their children in that situation!🤦♀️
