As the manager of operation at Okey Dokey Locksmith, I want to say that WhatsApp is one of the most useful app we use on a daily basic. This platform of communication allows use to create a secondary network in a secondary level when we put customers on first priority. For example: if I dial/talk to a technician I use WhatsApp and customer can still call me on the cellphone. To further explain: if I call tech on the phone it takes 10-15 seconds for the telecom system to connect the call and within this time frame of clicking the dial button to the moment the line is connected, a customer might get to the answering machine. Highly recommend to all of you business owners to use WhatsApp as a secondary network for your employees if they are interfacing customers over the phone.

To add a contact, just put their name and phone number into your device's address book. WhatsApp pulls contacts from your device, so as long as they're saved in your contacts list and they're signed up for a WhatsApp account, they should appear in your WhatsApp contacts list.
This doesn't explain whether your contacts need to be on whatsapp (which I assume they do) and it doesn't say how to give your contact info to anyone else on whatsapp.

This shouldn't be so complicated. This isn't even the layout for WhatsApp so I'm guessing this is a very old video. Why have an app that is not intuitive? This could be very smooth and easy to use yet someone chose to make it difficult

Hi Sophia, WhatsApp makes it easier to have group chats with people who have all different kinds of smart phones, or to message/call people who live in other countries without having to worry about the typical long distance charges you'd get using your regular cell service.

All other countries dont have this option, but if those people download this app then they have unlimited texting with freinds and loved ones. ☺👌👍 were lucky to be in U.S.

Thanks. It seems like there is no reason for me to use WhatsApp whatsoever. It's mainly for smartphone which I don't use since I have 17-inch laptop. My smartphone is just sitting in the drawer for about 99% of the time. I use "dumb phone" and laptop for everything. If I wanted to use WhatsApp on my Linux laptop, I would have to install some third party application. But there's no point since I can use Facebook directly without installing anything and I don't see any advantage of WhatsApp over Facebook. Thank you anyway :)
Hi Soma, You need a mobile phone number to verify your WhatsApp account. However, if you obtain a number through a texting app or service, you can use WhatsApp with that number.
