0:45 - I can't think of a better place to dump fuel than over New Jersey. No one will be able to tell the difference.
Hahaha😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I had one of those "where'd the floor go" moments flying a little Cessna 172 into Goodland Kansas. Mostly sunny day but the wind was harsh, like 20 k and really gusty. As I'm on final and descending at about 400 feet above ground the plane just starts to plummet as my airspeed goes from 80 to 50 in an instant--I was keeping it fast exactly because of the gusting but this was something new to me. It was enough my passenger, who was not a newbie to flying, was clutching on to the ceiling and door for dear life. Well, the thing about little planes, when you have 400 feet to work with, it's enough to get out of almost (almost!) anything. A little power, wait a few seconds for airspeed to return, and then we have a rather bumpy landing.
I went in to the FBO and looked at the weather station dials. Yep...that explains it... The wind was about 20 knots and was literally (I ain't kidding, literally) sweeping at that speed from directly lined up with the runway to being 140 degrees the opposite. Back and forth like that, while also going from 20 to 30 knots and back again.
I few minutes later we'd joined the group of people watching the landings outside and a commercial 18-seat Swearingen commuter comes in and the dancing and ultimate porpoising that thing did landing had to have terrified the passengers more than I did mine.
After watching another half dozen landings and attempts at landings I decided I did pretty damn well, all things considered.
Love the Content and the fuel dump video from the old continental airlines was 2010 didn’t realize it was that long ago.
These videos always make my day. Thanks lucaas
I always wanna see more planes. They are so fun to watch!
Awesome video ❤ Love it ❤
Welp always feels good to have THE daily dose
Hello everyone, this is your daily dose of the int... Wait hollup, I got the wrong channel
Nice one!
Coooool thanks for the repost 👍👍👍😎
The nose drop was intentional. Any down drafts would cause the aircraft to sink without having any noticeable affect on the attitude of the aircraft.
The nose drop was intentional yes because he had a cross head wind and ground effect to deal with. Still caused him to come in too steep on the first try causing him to go around. Wind is probably barely within landing limits.
That a380 waving it's wing back and forth. It is done on some special occasions like a pilot getting retired.
The nose dropping was due to control input, not a wind gust.
I've flown on A380's out of Frankfurt airport and you can actually take a stroll on that airliner, and do stair climbing exercises to ward off DVT.
1:15 cross
yeeeeey the intro still hereeee!!
Well, that airline dumping fuel over New Jersey is in for a treat when residents sue them for covering their homes in lead.
Was it a fuel dump over New Jersey? Or pesticide….
turn on CC at 2:06 and you read about the aircraft as 'starbucks a380'....nice, i love their cofee and i'm sure i'll love their airline too !
Hats off to these pilots
that 777 is like, whats below us? ATC: New Jersey, A777: fuck em
I love to see the 380
2:35 "Very foggy conditions'?? Seems like he rotated (could still see 1/4 to 1/2 mile over to the terminal), and then climbed at least to 100ft or more before flying into the bases. {but I suppose video of a true 600ft RVR would be pretty dull}
Next clip: This airbus A420 showing off, dipping it's wings, over rotates, barrel rolls and incinerates 350 souls on board.
Pilot quoted: "It seemed just like a video game"
the daily dose of aviation
0:05 When you put flight sim on hurricane force winds!
And I’ve always wondered why there were long clouds in the sky💀💀💀💀💀
HEADLINE: New Jersey neighborhood engulfed in flames from dumped jet fuel.
Cool
"nose dive" you need to stop with these clickbait titles
He certainly doesn't need them
He just can't
When a plane dumps his fuel, where does it goe? does the fuel rain down on the terrain or does it float up and stay floating?
Being New Jersey, nobody noticed
Did anyone notice how the 777 that was dumping fuel was a continental I need a explanation
What is that thing dragging behind the Airbus?
Good content.
This may be a naive question, but if the 777 dumping fuel at a low level at 0:39 happened to pass over an open fire or similar conflagration on the ground, would it be possible for the fuel spray to conduct the flames up to the plane with disastrous consequences?
Also, the oscillation of the A380 at 1:34 was surely a pilot-induced wing-wave rather than weather-induced turbulence?
2:33 That seems to be a Boeing B767
Welcome aboard our new A 380. Aren't you glad you didn't take a boat.
Reruns...
There is some kind of optical illusion that get me every time I see planes land, especially the first one.
0:52 ... looks like a 767.
I guess I missed the nose dive part?
I'd hardly call it a nose dive
It was more like "pitch down" not a nose dive🙄
neither nose dive nor, "too steep"... crosswinds and that buoyancy thing that happens just above the ground when landing, no?
0:40 Seeing this plane dump fuel. My house is about 3-4 miles east from an "outer marker" (those that follow aviation videos know about these). From the outer marker, the planes either continue east to an airport about 10 miles east of here, or they go northeast to an airport 15 miles northeast of my house. Anyway, it all started about the same time as the pandemic, but the house will suddenly reek of gasoline (lasts about 10 minutes). This happens about 3 or 4 times a week, but planes, for whatever reason are dumping fuel.
Damn!!
But that's no 777 !!!
That jet A is toxic!!!! How can they dump fuel on a residential area???? That's illegal!!!!
@@helio_afonso I live in a BIG city. ALL kinds of jets fly over, all kinds.
Continental livery
Is it just me or is this all just plane spotting now? I remember these being way wilder in the past
If the Boeing 777 was dumping fuel over new jersey it can send people to the hospital 😢😢😢
Can't even tell if the first clip is real life or a flight simulator 🥶🥶
What's a "triple seven"??
I'm thinking the first plane purposely dove so he could get to the runway. I don't think it was "forced."
1:00........take screen grab, post on FB, start in about chem trails
Great video brother from the imperial county California 👍👍🖐️🇺🇲
When planes dump fuel, I wonder what impact that has for the surrounding areas. And I think the plane companies should be fined for that . I get they do it for emergencies but it’s still gasoline. What if I pumping gas, gas falls out of the sky & it sparks a reaction?
It won't, it vapourises and not a big issue. Airline ready copz an expensive lesson in wasted fuel. Far safer and environmentally friendly for all involved than the overweight aircraft exploding into a fireball on landing
Why do the Lufthansa plane wave wings back and forth?
That was in Leipzig, they trained with the A380 there
So i think its part of the training, because they bring a couple A380 back to Lufthansa
To make the passengers vomit.
For the algorithm
0:40 that's not a 777 !!!
This video presenting short clips grabbed from other sources and presented without location, time or explanation.
Don’t feel bad about the plane dumping fuel at 4500 feet above the ground. He actually improved New Jersey.
F.I.R.S.T.
Yikes
I am not an expert or anything, but I think that is not a stabilised approach....
I would have performed a go around, trim nose up & full thrust, retract flaps & & lower speed brakes
Hi
At least no one was injured...
The 777, dumping fuel = Money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money
I wonder what Greta thinks of all this fuel dumping into the environment.
It would have ruined her chilhood,
Again 👩🦳
She's probably too busy thinking about how she lives rent-free in so many people's heads.
I shouldn't think she particularly minds whether it is dumped straight, or burned. You should mind, generally, too though - it's kind of important.
He forgets "luckuly none one was injured"
"to steep" not steeply improper grammar
1:23.....why cant pilots land ON the centerline? am I the only one in the world that can do that?
Only n00b pilots declare emergency or abort a landing.
First
first
Pin me I am first 😊 from India
im the 575th like
This is sooooo ordinary NORMAL…during cross winds, windy conditions..truly nothing to see here! 🥴
Some Airports should have been moved ....
Too much build up around them ...
