So far I'm loving it. Taking it on a 3 day hog hunt tomorrow and gonna put it thru its paces.

Glad you enjoyed the video
Thank you very much for your opinions and the tour through the pack. I appreciate it.
Very welcome! Glad you enjoyed it.
Outstanding review, I’m sold. I’ll be ordering one. I have been looking for a nice backpack that offers me the choice of bringing along extra clothing. I need something that will fit a FL Solitude rolled up in there, along with all the other little necessities like you have: knife, grunt tubes, face paint, wind puffer, compass, extra paracord, headlamp, etc.
You will love it. The venture 2300 is ny favorite non framed day pack ever.
An excellent practical review. Thanks for sharing your first hand experience.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Got it ORDERED TODAY!!
So EXCITED!!!!
Great video as always. Good review.

@@ColoradoStreaming awesome. Thank you for the heads up
Great in-depth review!
Thanks. Such a great pack. I actually just ordered another one as a back up since thier labor day sale was so good
@@tradbowpodcast I ordered one today after seeing this review, hard to pass up at $150. Looking forward to testing it out soon.

Great review! Thanks for the insight, I’m SOLD!

Kuiu makes some great packs love the 1850
Yes they do!
Great review, very good information, thank you for sharing....
Thanks!
I can’t wait for mine to come in!!!

Thankyou... My Sitka pack was ok, but this has everything I need... I'm getting one once I can afford it... Thankyou..
Best day pack I have ever owned. Still using it almost exclusively.
Outstanding review! I am looking for a day hunting pack and the fact you had your stand attached was something I had wondered was possible. I have a Lone Wolf climber. How much does the pack weigh fully loaded with the stand? I apologize if I missed it in the vid. Thanks for posting!
You will love the pack! I dont know the total weight with stand etc all together as hunt ready with all gear. Will have to check that once I set everything back up. Right now have it set for coyote hunting.
Great review, I just picked one up due to the review. Kuiu owes you money!!!! LOL
You are gonna love it! My all time favorite pack ever made!!
@@tradbowpodcast Just got mine, I think I should have gotten large even though I am 5'6. Do you know the difference? Is the large longer?
The hip belt on this pack is removable now. Kuiu recently came out with some updated designs. Great company!
Interesting. Will have to check it out. I love my venture 2300. Best day pack I have ever used
Thank you for your comments. I am debating the 1800 vs 2300 for whitetail hunting. I do also plan to purchase bow mount. Do you think the 2300 is better option since it has the 500 Cordura?
Personally I think the 2300 is better because of the 500 cordura. The 1800 is a great pack and I have a buddy that has it and loves it. But now that the 2300 is out the extra size and toughness wins for me.
Have you had any interest in the new stand from lone wolf custom?
two words: light beer...lol but seriously great review. love kuiu products!! i have the venture 2300 in verde and is my favorite pack for bowhunting
Yep the 2300 is my all time favorite pack as well.
What do you do with that pack while you are in the tree? Thanks for the video, great job as always.
I have a carabiner attached to the top handle and I connect the pack to my tree stand by clipping that carabiner to the hole I'm the bat wing of my lone wolf stand. On other stands that dont have a batwing I would put a paracord loop on the tree stand strap that I could clip that carabiner to.
You can def pack a deer out in that 2300 day pack plus your layering clothes plus your stand and sticks. I packed bunch of deer out of the mountains plus gear in 2200 day pack. Put deer quarters in the bag first then stuff as many layering clothes in as you can. Then your sticks attach to your stand then you attach stand and sticks to pack. If it’s real cold and can’t stuff all your layering clothes in the bag into if the deer meat just strap them to the outside of the pack.
Awesome review by the way man
Yep 2000-2500 is about perfect size for deer hunting and packing out meat. Makes for a heavy load with gear stands and sticks. But sure is nice to make just one trip!
Was wondering about the gutless method you mentioned. If I'm by myself deep in Illinois public land, is this method possible? Do you just leave the ribs/bones at the site of kill?
Check your local game laws to see if you have to remove the deer whole. In michigan I have to take everything out but the guts. In other states I hunt i can bone them out right there. Its a great method for hunting deep or in the hills. Just did the gutless methods on a deer I killed a couple days ago. Took me 38 minutes from stsrt to finish. Would of never been able to drag it up those hills myself!
Awesome video, very informative.
Being that this pack does not have an external rigid frame, How do the load lifter straps perform. Do they actually help in taking the load off your shoulders when pack is properly worn with a heavy load. Already have the kuiu pro 7200 love it best pack I’ve worn and carried In the back country.
I have only carried 40 pound s and under in this pack. But the load lifters are about half as functional as they are on a actual frame pack. But they do help by letting you apply more or less pressure to your shoulders when you want.
Thank you for the reply.
good info
Thanks
Hey Jason. I need a pack with enough room to carry bibs and warm coat to hunt in cold weather. Does the 2300 have enough room to carry my normal gear in addition to warm weather gear when needed?
I dont think you will fit the bibs and big jacket in it with normal gear as well. Probably need a 3500 or 4k size bag. But with the venture you could fit the jacket in it plus gear and put the bibs on the outside on the compression straps. They you also have a perfect size pack for the rest of the season as well. But to put it all inside I bet you need 3500 ish.
Great review! Do you have a link for your exoframe pack? Looking for a multi day pack with hauler if needed.
exomtngear.com/products/k2-2000-daypack that is the link to the exo. Its my favorite pack for hauling meat plus gear sticks and stands. I love the exo!
@@tradbowpodcast
Thanks for help!
Jason did you add the strap protectors to the 2300? Do you think it needs them for your beast stand? Thanks Jason,
I did add them but no I don't think it needs them and those straps on the 2300 are replaceable if they ever do wear
Great review. Been looking at a bunch of different packs. I really liked the Eberlestock X2 - I thought the batwings were slick and liked the way it was put together. My concern is it seems small (1850-ish), and it doesn't have great reviews for taller people (5'9" and taller). Do you have any experience with X2 and how would compare to this? Thoughts on the batwing design?
I do not have any experience with the x2. But I know eberlestock makes great stuff. I do think most of thier packs are quite heavy in weight. But great quality. I live my f1 main frame pack frame.
@@tradbowpodcast thank you!
@@tradbowpodcast Other question - have you looked at Kifarui 357 Magnum. It’s like a big version of Shape Charge.
I love the look and options on it…. ….except it seems could be too big. Thoughts?
@@Kennyrooo kifaru makes great stuff. I don't own any or pay much attention anymore as I need 2 things most of thoer packs don't offer. Double compression straps on the front of the back and a handle on top.
@@tradbowpodcast thanks. Appreciate your feedback. Love the channel!
Sorry if I missed it but did you mention if you purchased the pack in Medium or Large? I heard the M is quite small even for someone at 5'10"
I ordered mine in a large. Im 5'6" and 170 lbs love the way it fits. I wear 34 jeans and those are loose enought to carry a gun inside the waistband all day as well. wtih out the gun I could wear 32s.
Is there plenty of strapping to hold elk sheds securely? And if not what pack do recommend, it only has 2 straps so I was wondering
I would actually look into a exo mtn pack or a kifaru. Those will be frame packs and offer extra options to securely pack out the elk sheds. This pack would probably be ok but one of the others would be much better.
Great review. Kuiu should be paying you...
Thanks!
i just received my venture 2300. i am curious what you would use the 4 webbing loops on the top of the pack. lashing points?
Yep those loop tabs are to mount a lid or cover on the top
Do you feel its necessary to have a framed backpack for elk or can a none framed backpack work?
If you are going to pack an elk out you will want a frame pack for sure. Kuiu, mystery ranch, exo, stone glacier, kifaru all great options.
Hey there from a fellow Michigander, do you still have this pack? Would you recommend it at its current price of $150? I’m looking for a day pack to pack a stand and sticks as you’ve showed. Is that a lone wolf setup also? Sorry for all the questions 😂
That is a lone wolf stand and sticks. Yes I love this pack. Still use it almost exclusively. Been the best day pack style hunting pack I've ever used. Love it
Do you know if the 2300 pro is literally the exact same just without the built in frame? It looks taller on there website
I would call them to confirm it is the same but if I had to bet on it I'd put all my money on it being the same
Jason. Do you feel like the pack pushes down on your pants belt in the back? I just got mine today and tried it out with my stand setup on the back and noticed it can kind of push my belt into my back. Does that happen to you? Other than that I love the pack
It does when I wear a normal belt (like too lazy to switch to my thin nylon hunting belt). With a thin nylon belt from amazon i dont have any issues. But i remember 2 years ago packing out a whole buck boned out, head and all my gear including sticks and stand (super heavy load) for over a mile with my exo pack. I had my normal thick leather belt on and by the time I was half way to the truck my pants were down below my ass cheeks. I was laughing to my self pretty hard. my thermals, undies, everything was down there. Thank god I have a longer shirt on..lol
@@tradbowpodcast hahah that is too funny man. I appreciate you sharing this so I know it’s not just me. Wasn’t sure if I was supposed to have ordered a medium or if a medium would even ride any different at the bottom, might just be the top which changes with the size. I will look into a thinner nylon belt as you mentioned. Thank you so much for all that you do, this is my first hunting season EVER and you inspired me to go traditional and run a mobile setup. It’s so much to buy and learn and make sense of, I could never have done it without your videos. Thank you 🙏🏼
@@jamesvondant1262 glad the content has helped! You are gonna love the freedom and capabilities of mobile hunting!
@@tradbowpodcast I definitely do. All of my friends shoot compounds and hunt from ladder stands they set once a year and tell me over and over how this is never going to work 😂 hoping to use all the things I learn from you to land my first deer and show them it’s not impossible
@@jamesvondant1262 looking forward to hearing all about it!
Are you still happy with this pack? Any complaints? How has it held up? I’m considering getting one, but I had another pack by KUIU that failed on me. (It was the “Ultra” line with the lighter weight fabric)
Yep very happy. It's my favorite day pack. Any hunts where I dont need a frame to load sling and pack meat out I bring this venture 2300. I love it. Not one complaint or issue at all. And I carry about 40 pounds on it with gear, sticks, stand, harness, binos, water etc for many many miles a season. Holding up awesome.
Traditional Bowhunting And Wilderness Podcast great to hear! Thanks for the quick reply! Love your channel.
Just got mine in the mail. Very impressed with the attention to detail!
@@hisheroisjon you are gonna love it
Jason, how loud is the pack in cold weather? I have an Eberlestock X2 its kind of loud.
never had it be loud enough to think about it or worry about it personally. And I have wore it still hunting deer in the snow and killed deer inside of 20 with it on
👍💯💯
Did u realize that kuiu has brought the venture 2300 n 1800 series back!
I saw that a few days ago. Made a big post about it on my socials. Very excited they did!
Im looking for the strap you talked about to add a pistol to the hip belt. Kuiu says they have no such piece. Would love some info. Thx
I thought they sold a holster attachment. if they dont other companies sell holsters that will fit over the hip belt.
It said on their website to contact customer service for straps for holster straps and accessories!
Do you still like and use this pack ? Is the fabric loud ?
Yep use it every day hunting except my out of state hunts that I need a frame pack. the pack is 500d courdura. same as all quality packs out there. no difference in sound.
Awsome review!! but it looks a lot like the 5.11 24h ....love kuiu though!!
This pack looks nothing like the 5.11 pack this one is way better and not even close in comparison.
What size is the 2300 sm/md. Or. Lrg/xl ???
Please
Do not remeber what size I bought. But I did go by thier sizing chart and it was perfect for me.
Is there a way to load out meat on the pack?
Only if you put it inside with this pack. It's not a loadsling type pack. Just a day pack
@@tradbowpodcast what would you do if you got an animal during the day, would you leave it and come back with a frame style pack?
@@johnlicon2472 yes if I'm using this pack my intention is to cone back with a jet sled to get the deer out. On my out of state trips where I plan to pack out a boned out deer I switch to my mystery ranch pintler pack
Can you haul meat with this pack? Where do you strap it if you can?
Only way to haul meat with this pack is to put the meat inside. Thos is not a frame pack. But would be very easy to put a boned out doe in a game bag inside the packs main compartment. But if I'm packing meat out I take my exo mtn frame pack that let's me load sling meat between the pack and frame.
Good video, sorry, not a fan of kuiu back packs, they are flimsy and not much of a bang for the buck ( better off getting a backpack from Walmart $30 for "a daypack"). Stone glacier, EXO mountain gear, mystery ranch, or kifaru offer way better packs and much more comfortable and durable. I'd rather have a frame to latch my climber to and then fasten the bag to the climber.
All the brands you mentioned are all made from 500d cordura.
But to each thier own and I'm glad you found a pack you like.
