The Kuiu Venture 1800 and 2300 Daypacks are fairly new additions to the Kuiu line of packs. Prior to the Venture series, a hunter or outdoorsman was limited to using the smaller Icon Pro series packs like the Icon Pro 1850. Capable of carrying a lot of weight with the modular and removable suspension system, it was price prohibitive to a lot of people with over $250 price point.
Kuiu released the Venture series of day packs that are lower cost and still carry a good amount of weight, but fit better for an everyday pack.
I've loved carrying the Venture 1800 as an everyday work and travel pack, and also for it's intended use, as a backcountry daypack. It may be the most feature rich day pack I've used to date. Awesome for day hunts, animal scouting, off trail shed hunting and more.

I think its interesting how traditional backpack and outdoor suppliers are going the ultra-light and fashion route so hunting companies like Kuiu are filling in that gap for bombproof outdoor gear. That is why we are seeing so many 'solid' color options coming up.
I pulled the trigger on this after debating it against the Sitka tool bucket, huge Sitka fan but this pack seemed to fill my needs rifle and archery hunting.

Mystery Ranch has a daypack with a removable hip belt and with Mystery ranch you get the overload shelf
I’m 17 and 511 should I get a large I’m sure I’ll grow another inch or two I am set on getting this pack in the valo tho for hunting whitetail

Nice pack! Are you planning on hunting? Or adding hunting to your channel?
Not totally sure how it will integrate into the channel. I am mostly motivated to be getting out to understand animals better. Getting off trail and scout for animals. I have always had an interest in archery and having that part of my skill set. Drawing for various bow hunts is something I’d like to have happen at some point. How it falls into my channel, not totally sure. But dabbling so there may be some more hunting style/topic oriented videos shared as I become more educated in the topic than I already am.
I'm only 5'1". will a medium be too tall?
does your computer hit the bottom of the pack or will your laptop be safe from hitting the ground?
I'd buy it for the camo and space.
Saved Life well space is usually the purpose of a backpack....
Thanks for reviewing...you mentioned yours in medium however I have heard some say that it is too small. I am 5'10" and not sure if I should jump up to the large. Any thoughts now that you have used pack?
Darrin Thomas it’s much less about your height and more about your torso length.
I'm 5’10 and 180 pounds and the large is perfect for me.
Would it fit two back legs off a mule deer?

It is sold with the hip belt.

Debating 2300 vs 1800, using to strap my sticks and platform on the pack, it looks like the 2300 actually has different straps with an extra clip on each side
hey Kyle, which did you end up buying? I am thinking the same thing...I would like to put my spotting scope and tripod in the stash pockets and strap them down- maybe the 2300 is better? Although I like the smaller size bag for the range and other uses.
@@RyanMark7 I ended up getting the 2300 and I'm very happy with it. Bag size feels perfect and able to strap everything I need to it. I love it.
