Between the fig story, the Disney Princess soundtrack and the comment “And everybody knows that females are the rulers of the Earth”, this episode had me rolling in laughter and completely charmed. 😂❤tx
Wonderful, Jack!!!! Too short. Want to see more. Definitely impressive!!!! How fortunate to have experienced ❤ Thank you! Nice to see they also feature Chihuly's works! 🥰
My favorite spot was the Lilly pond beneath the bridge. The huge trees are amazing. The lower trunk of the pony tail tree looks like an elephants foot😀. Thank you for sharing this beauty🌳
That was so cool to see. What an amazing place. Thank goodness for those travellers who set off and brought back all kinds of goodies! Thanks for sharing another great video. 🙂
Jack...A suggestion for you that when your boys reach the age of 7, 8, or 9 you let them experience living through Fall, winter, Spring, and the beautiful Summers in Northern Michigan for a rememberable lifetime of memories!!!
Thanks Jack for this tour. I didn't realize that trees could get so big in Florida; I've never seen a Pony-Tail Palm so huge. We're going to make a special trip to this beautiful place. I think it's only 1-1/2 hours from us. Thanks again.
Thank you for the beautiful tour that Ponytail palm is unbelievable. I was able to see The Chihuly Exhibit at The New York Botanical Gardens a few years ago, his work goes so well in gardens. That was my dream😀
Interesting info of the Cluster Fig, makes me a little reluctant about opening figs, but perhaps that is just with that variety. Love figs. This was a beautiful video❤
Alright Jack, I told you before you are an amazing teacher. I love it when you show us awesome gardens and your amazing designs but..... I still will never eat a fig. Just no. LOL (PS I saw you throw that fig on the ground by the way!)
Nothing compares to El Yunque National Rainforest in Puerto Rico. The only Tropical Rainforest in the US, all natural and awesome. But this imitation of a Tropical Rainforest is cool.
It's nice to see such a beautiful place. The tropical rainforest is interesting but there is another rainforest in the lower 48: Washington state has the Hoh rainforest in Olympic National Park. It is a temperate rainforest & quite beautiful.
Oh my gosh! I'm amazed and my mind is whirling, like if I add misters can I actually grow fern, in Reno Nevada, which I'm used to coming from Nova Scotia canada? And many more? Oh gosh what an gorgeous tour! Thank you so much#
You need to watch the documentary “The Queen of Trees”, think it was a Nature doc, it’s extremely detailed in how this odd relationship works. Loved it.
Jack in St Petersburg, florida (near Tampa) there is a botanical garden called "Sunken Garden" = very old beautiful tropical garden as well, near the down down area.
@@jeanniegoldberg5931 Sorry to correct you, but the Tropical Rainforest at Fairchild is not a real tropical rainforest. It's man made. The only Tropical rainforest in the US is "El Yunque Tropical Rainforest" in Puerto Rico.
How have I missed this? One minor correction regarding rainforests in the lower 48, when you have a chance, take a flight to Seattle, rent an SUV and travel by ferry to the Olympic Peninsula and visit the Hoh in Olympic National Park. it is the only true natural rainforest in the lower 48. it is breathtaking, stunning, and created by mother nature.

WOW! So cool...did not know about the symbiotic relationship between figs and wasps, thank you Jack for sharing!!

Awesome 👌
Fantastical and splendid!
It looks MAGNIFICENT!!! I wish I would have known about it before I moved from Central Florida! But I think I will probably not eat figs again!😳
Really cool tour

Super Cool video! PLEASE tell me that cluster fig tree's figs are not edible by humans. Fascinating!
Thanks Jack!

Come visit Naples botanical sometime. Great video 🙂
I go there often, and did a whole series of videos on it during the pandemic~~ check em out!
Jack in St Petersburg, florida (near Tampa) there is a botanical garden called "Sunken Garden" = very old beautiful tropical garden as well, near the down down area.
Great to know! I’ll check it out!!
Nice
What type of tree was that with the colored bark? Beautiful. Thank you for the tour!
Talking about the fig thing….isn’t the supreme being… I call him God, (you label with what’s comfortable)…..AMAZING!
Jack, do you know the age of the ponytail tree? That is wild 🌴
Sorry to correct you, but there is a natural rainforest in Washington State, Hoh Rainforest in Olympic National Park. Come visit sometime!
Sorry to correct you, but the rainforest at Fairchild is a TROPICAL rainforest. The one you referred to is a temperate rain forest.
@@jeanniegoldberg5931 Sorry to correct you, but the Tropical Rainforest at Fairchild is not a real tropical rainforest. It's man made. The only Tropical rainforest in the US is "El Yunque Tropical Rainforest" in Puerto Rico.
Your telling of the wasp/fig story is hilarious.
I can’t see a fig tree without thinking about it!! Now, not every fig is pollinated in this way, but, it is certainly a fascinating relationship!
@@JackBarnwellDesign I've never been a fan of figs, it's a texture thing and I think I know what that texture is, now, lol.
💚😍💚

I’ll never eat another fig!😊😊😊❤
I guess I don’t want to eat figs anymore🤮❄️💚🙃
I've never tried one but I know now I don't want to. Did you see Jack throw that fig? He wasn't going to eat it either LOL
I love ❤️ figs!!!
Jake. Your fig story is frightening. Now I am worried about eating figs. My favourite fruit :(
I thought those trees with colored bark were photoshopped. Aren’t plants amazing?
They sure are……
Not all figs
Looks like a great place to house the homeless
