We visited the castle in the 60s when it was just a ruin along the highway. A family friend had grown up on the Loeb farm that the barn was part of. The barn was used for dairy cows that the family had brought dairy workers from Denmark to tend. It was fascinating to wander around the ruins of the barn as a 13-year-old and listen to Bill's stories of growing up there and looking at the photos he had of the barn when it was new.

Linda is a friend of our family and a special lady. We visit the Castle every summer to see the new things. Once when we drove in a lady was working in the gardens. As we drove by my Mom says "That was Linda but don't tall any one of the staff she is here because she says they make her stop working, but she loves working in the garden."

This place is fabulous! I've not heard of it, but what a wonderful place to visit, beyond Weddings, Educational! Cool train, absolutely gorgeous grounds and layout within and beyond the castles. Would love to see the fountain at night! And had I been in the area in the 70's .. you can bet Rock On! 😎✌️🎵 Thanks for the walkabout, and Kevin is such a cool and likeable guy too! 🙌 to Linda!

Hey Jack, always happy when I see you have posted something new! This place is FABULOUS and new to me! I hope Linda will understand the depth of my personal appreciation when I share that the most important thing to me about BobLo was it was a safe and magical place for kids when I was growing up. It was one of the aspects my Dad Herman Browning was most proud of. Families of all socioeconomic backgrounds could escape outside and take a refreshing boat ride on the river to and fro. They could enjoy the amusement park and picnic on the grounds, ride the little train around the island too. This place, Castle Farms, inspires that long ago feeling for me. It is just WONDERFUL what she and all her teams are accomplishing there. Thank you Jack for bringing us all on this fun and whimsical journey 😊🐉

Kevin your work and that of your team is amazing - WOW! Jack let him be the expert - he knows what he’s doing AND the annuals will get planted according to their schedule! Thanks for sharing Jack!

Cool place ... I feel like it needs a walk trough peacock aviary with a pond full of white goldfish for photos. Maybe some misc. white birds.... Also a big white "gazebo" style aviary like in Alladin 😆full of white pigeons... for photos but those pigeons can also be released @ weddings...
    🤣

Awesome tour! I didn't even know this place existed, even though I've been to Charlevoix a few times, and I've lived in MI all my life! Will definitely visit in the future!
