I don’t need to prove anything… It’s a fact… These are molds for making industrial leather work gloves… They would have been mounted on a bench and the leather worker would have fitted and pinned the leather glove pieces together before sending it down the line to the sewing and trimming station… The molds are larger than a typical man’s hand to allow excess material for sewing together the pieces… The excess was then trimmed off after sewing… I have sold a pair of these in the past… I purchased them from a leather worker who was in his 90’s… But what do I know… Perhaps I just made all of this up…

With USPS it really does seem like we are heading backwards. Raising prices, decreasing box sizes, offering slower service with hit or miss tracking. Came across some mid 2000's USPS priority boxes and wow the thickness on the older boxes compared to the thin scrawny boxes they use now. Such a shame.

Yep, the old USPS boxes were much stronger. I sell packaged non-perishable food online and am finding that UPS is the way to go hen it comes to bigger sized boxes like 12x9x6 and above.
You couldnt be more right. Inflation has quickly turned my life upside down. As a Disabled Veteran Medically retired, I am about to lose my home. With that, I now discovered the increase here in Florida on rent. It is now nearly 3000 a month for a 2bdr apartment. Ive been looking for 3 months and have not found anything I can actually afford. I am about to become homeless. With a wife and two kids, I now find myself selling what few things I have. Sadly, much of what I own isnt worth much but what I do have is reasonable. BUt, the buyer (pawn) know that people are desperate and are lowballing on offer. Im in big trouble and terrified of what is coming. I wouldnt care if it was just me but my kids deserve better. The ever increasing stress of everything is adding to health issues I already have. PTSD, anxiety, depression and I am slipping into a dark place. I pray you remain fair with your customers and not take advantage of their already hard situations. Youve always been a square and honest man. I respect you for that. I have no idea how things will pan out in my world. If something doesnt change soon, I fear for the worst and given my health, I have no clue how I will manage. God Bless friend. I feel very sorry for you but at least we still have Medicare & SSI .. I bring in $1,300 a month and will be living in my toyhauler soon. We came very close to losing Medicare 📉

Things are changing … I’ve been selling stuff for about three years now just eBay and marketplace … it’s taken a massive drop in the past month. Used to sell a couple things a day which was great extra money! Now I’m lucky if I sell one thing biweekly … very strange.
maybe peope scared about nuclear war or inflation. it is tax season too. also ebay charges taxes so resellers have less money and items arre worth less because they cant sell it easily like before.
money is really really tight for alot of people, i stopped by my collectibles because of this :(

I do alot of offerup and clist same scenario even after slashing prices to what I paid for an item when it's worth double. Only things that are selling for me are the really hard to find items rare car audio mostly but it's getting to the point where I might as well keep most of it and wait for this crap to blow over... Only two years, hopefully.
@@youteo3596 its time to buy up things for cheap and hold onto them. I notice there are great deals to be had at estate sales and the antique fairs. Many older people coming out with treasures not knowing what they are worth.

Those are glove molds for making latex and nitrile gloves... they hang upside down and are dipped into the latex and nitrile for sizing...

I used to work at GOAT that buys sells & specializes in Authenticating all types of shoes. Moreover, normally when shoes are just samples that didn't even reach out to the public & have no release date to them... The rarity & given the brand the price goes up. In addition, new balance in on the rise so that guy was smart to keep them, I'll say in a year or 2 from they'll be worth more & you can go as far as to sell a pair like those anywhere from 150 - 300.

I met someone at Ebay open in 2017 who gave me some great advise. She told me when 2008 hit and the economy was bad and her Ebay store was going down hill . She did the opposite of what most people would do .... She bought everything of value on the cheap and stored it away until the economy approved. Now is the time to buy, buy, buy if you are serious about making re-selling a full time gig. If you cant afford to do that ..... get a part time job to suppliment your income. Now is time for you to take your re-selling business to another level.
The part is, I don't think it's going to get better.
Ebay has been dead for years lol you end up making nothing the fees are too much hence never sell on ebay.

Pete. It's good you told the guy to not point the bb gn at anyone. I hsd a roomate that had just cleaned out his grandfathers garage and was showing me a rusty old bb gn he'd just picked up. He's waving it around irresponsably and I told him not yo pointvit at people or things. He proceeded to argue with me as he continued to wave it around. He points it at my car window and sais, see, it's an antique as he pulled the trigger. He shattered my window out.

The hands are acrylic w/ air bubbles in them. They’re from the 70s or wary 80s. Most likely wall hangers or shelves. Possibly the back to a chair.
The great thing is USPS is still honoring the old boxes and I have a bunch of them.
Marble door knobs would love to purchase a brown swirl one we collect marbles and sometimes you see these in the collections

The post office wants to get away from shipping larger packages. They have a surcharge now for packages over a certain length now. Shipping baseball bats and rolled up movie posters are now way more expensive

In BRITAIN smaller boxes with everything else getting smaller and prices rising is called shrinkflation. Tissues for example ( Kleenex ) are getting as small as the pocket size tissues. Mansize tissues 90 per box are as small as the facial size now and double the price they used to be. you complain till you`re blue in the face but, no-one takes any notice Pete.

Food manufactures do the same thing with products all the time. Example is block cheese. Used to be 16 ounce block for 5 bucks is now 12 ounces for 5 bucks.

People like myself who are not hurting "yet" are also realizing we have too much unneeded, unused accumulated things that are collecting dust! My house is packed with things I haven't used in years and I started selling anything and everything I no longer use! Things will get worse and it is better to have cash than stored stuff that just takes up space!

@@bonnieupton4114 Yes if that is part of your plan but if you are planning on moving especially long distance the less you have the easier and cheaper it is! And bartering is a dead system because most things lose value and you have to store it someplace safely so it doesn't get damaged until you do trade it off! Then when you die your kids have to sort through all that crap! It took 3 20 foot dumpsters to get rid of the crap in my moms house that she thought was "valuable" but I couldn't give it away! Bartering only works when people want what you have and one thing everybody wants is money so I barter for cash!
Thats why there more yard sales then usual for the last couple years

That yellow extension cord reel didn’t come like that lol 😂. I have one. They have four black receptacles with a resettable fuse in the middle. Someone added wall outlets to it. I’m not so sure that’s safe lol

I had a broken saw once. Still got it.
There is other boxes USPS made smaller also. I ordered a jacket, it came in a usps box and had to ship it back, I asked for the same new box and it was smaller the jacket barley fit.
And yet the jacket fit. Have another little moan and whine about nothing wjhy don't you.

Speculating but USPS may have been gearing up for Ground Advantage. Larger packages now tend to go with new service so Priority boxes need not be as large....
