Anytime someone repeatedly says “Trust Me”... that’s usually when I start not trusting them
I see a politician who has dominated the news and late night comedy shows for over 2 years now who says that daily LOL!
Was thinking the same thing! This guy bugged me so much, i started to make comments about his contradictions and double talk... except before i got done writing that comment he started with another line of BS so ridiculous i had to comment that one next!!! One of those guys who will say ANYTHING to get you to buy it, even if hes full of BS and spitting lies through his teeth.

I couldnt deal with a guy like this, whenever they get emotional (he said he was begging Pete and that Pete was hurting him) I immediately cut out. People like that are like arguing with an ex, a huge headache and never really worth the time.

I would have told him..."You can sell it to me and take the instant cash with no after sale issues or you can sell this stuff yourself on ebay and when you see all the hassles involved, get back to me."

Exactly! Not just that, hauling it home, sorting and researching model #s etc., cleaning/inspecting/lubing/reconditioning, then selling, paying paypal/ebay/postal fees...shipping materials, time spent taking pics, printing labels, taking to post office, then getting scammed by the buyer on ebay and all for nought...it's not so easy when delving into all the nuances of selling on ebay!

@@DougHNuts-ee3vn I concur, right on! Every seller should add that to their description who accepts offers. Too many newer sellers flooding the market devaluing even less common finds. It has been a disappointing venture not at all what I envisioned. Much of which is learn as you go but for all the efforts, the reward ain't worth the payout. Feels more like being out looking for cans taking up space most days.

I love that you posted the negotiating even with a normal person/ friend you do business with the negotiating can be a hassle sometimes. People should see that sometimes you gotta take care of them and make them walk away happy this time for it to come full circle. Reselling has its downsides and sometimes telling people what you will pay doesn't make them the happiest but you have to make money. Thanks Pete for the content as always

With all due respect, if Daryl or is it Darrell, thinks he's so educated on completed listings (never mentioned sold's,we can only assume he meant sold's), he needs to simply sell it on Ebay. Selling for as fast buck to you comes at a price. He also has no overhead by comparison to you Pete, you are definitely a patient man!

Great video Pete, I have multiple friends and people i do business with on a regular basis that reminds me of this guy, one thing i make sure to do is treat them fairly and pay them sometimes more then usual because this is the type of guy who will stay loyal to you and sell you stuff regularly and you never know what he will one day have that you will score huge on. Making deals as a reseller can be tricky because you never want to loose money or pay to much for a item but on the other side of the coin finding people who consistently bring you good stuff on a regular basis is rare. Great content brother keep the videos rolling

Damn straight. I've met a few old timer garbage men in my days picking and the stories they tell me of the Civil War medals, Victorian furniture, pedal cars, Harley Davidsons and Indian motorcycles, things everyone wishes they could find today. Just laying in a pile on the curb. Or in the dump one guy I know worked there when he was young. Nobody wanted old stuff back then.
my uncle just found a brand new 60 inch Sony TV sealed in the box in the trash. The shit he finds is literally insane.
People will also run out and try to give him shit, one woman gave him a old VW Beetle which ran and was in great shape, he still drives it

God, the hustling, brings back some memories as I’ve been on both sides of the deal soooooo many times. We all know he’d be happy with 2 for both tables… lol I’d have taken the silver canon for 15 & left the black rebel, I’d have taken the combis and audio stuff also. The games, I’d have a proper sort through & decide but the DS’s I’d do 15-20, the sims are basically worthless esp w/o the codes so I’d have done 3 for all of them. The other stuff, idk. It’s different here in the UK and I only really deal with electronics.
I am sure this guy Darell is constantly buying things. I am sure Pete realizes there will be more to buy from him at a later date. It’s funny watching the negotiating. I think in the end they both were happy.

I have a construction business, just some advice for people in selling. You have to say your prices with confidence, don’t explain either because that makes a buyer or customer feel like even you think it’s so high you have to validate it. If the job is 5k you should list everything you’re doing, we’re installing blank blank and blank and extending blank, total will be 5k, then don’t speak. If they want a breakdown then give one. But if you beat the bush and say well you won’t like it or show any sign of feeling like you think it’s too much then of course they will too.
Howdy Just a heads up, that Breg is a prescription device and will probably get an ebay listing pulled. I've had my last 2 listings for them taken down. I even waited about a year after the first one before I listed the second. Before that they sold quick at 80-90 bucks.
Yep. Has happened to me too with the Donjoy Icemans.
They must have fairly recently started that because I've probably sold ten of those things over the years.
What's weird is it seems like Tens Units are allowed now. Those used to be a big no no.
