Are you serious ? Most of the comments under this video are criticising Nadal. But don't let facts get in the way of "Mission victimize Djokovic wherever possible".
When Nadal is winning he is all smiles. But when he is losing, he will act in an angry way. For instance, at Wimbledon, he complained about Sonego's grunts in the very moment his adversary was reacting. Then, Sonego got distracted and started to make several unforced errors. Nadal then acted apologetically. You may consult other matches. You will see that he is angry when he is behind the score.
This is the side to Rafa I don't care for. Novak is slammed for so many things, sometimes justifiably. But Rafa is not the simple, shy local guy he portays. He plays mind games to a high order and woe betide the umpire who calls him to task for his ploys.

Mariana Valejovic is a good umpire. Please, do not mistake her with the Portuguese Mariana Alves. Mariana Alves is the reason of existence of Hawk Eye. In a US Open match, she made many mistakes that were crucial to the match's outcome.
0:31 look at her eyes this moment when she thinks "omg what a moron!" 😂😂
Are you certain the female umpire wasn't thinking that about you?
very unlikely. that would be extremely illogical cause we don't know each other and I was on another continent at this time 😊

Because men like you are so judgmental
Plastic surgery!!!
Marijana Veljovic
wow I almost couldnt recognize her, she looked so familiar but wasnt sure it was her! she used to be so pretty!
Lip and cheek filler. Probably some Botox to add to that regularly. Whoever does it must be paid well tbh.
Wait on the botox to melt down, it’s so hot in Australia now, then she’ll be back to her original look
Finally a chair umpire who stick to the rule. Rules are the same for everybody… around the end of the match you could even see Nadal doing a serve without doing any of his OCD routine. Proof that he can do it. 😂
I like these moments. It's easy to think of these players as perfect human beings but everyone gets frustrated and angry sometimes.
only kids and brainless people can think
Isnt crazy that nadal get upset just when he is losing or close to losing i bet if he was leading 4-1 he wouldnt ... the top players rage more than others but when things go good and according to the plain they smile and act good...thats what make them on the top because they are selfish and hate losing and do everything they could to win and thats ok life is about competing but we shouldnt assume that they are perfect humans just because they are number 1.
Rules are rules, Nadal. Sometimes they get twisted, like first granting Nole a medical exemption to allow him to arrive to Australia and then keeping him in a deportation center for days, before deporting him. Or like 99% of umpires who close their eyes when you take 5 min to serve. But not always, thank god for that. Go home.
So he was mad at her for doing her job?
The only thing i’m noticing is how Marijana messed up her face pretty good with the surgery !

I guess pressure from aging in this modern world is too big for women.
I have no idea why is this a trend when we see the results.
Bravo, Marijana Veljovic...
The only chair umpire to stick to her guns,
and play by the rules when it comes to the serve timer.
We need ALL chairs to follow suit.
The time clock was brought into the game because of Rafa. He used to take even longer, which was bang out order, as it often interrupted the opponents flow and totally wrong.
Nadal is so arrogant and always wants some special treatment.
Rules are rules Mr. nadal! As you said it. Also you have to respect them!

Same rule for all players. He has to go to the other side of the court for the towel? So do the other players! And they do it in time. Nadal runs after balls pretty fast during the points so he should just get to the towel faster too. He has a habbit of doing this and many players have complained about it.
But then he wouldn't be able to have the psychological advantage by controlling when the server can serve !!! 😂😂
it's not an umpire, it's a vampire
The ET music in background makes this awesome.
I knew he is runaway after seeing Novak last night
Nah, he run away from Tiafoe instead.
Shame on you, Rafa! Rules are rules. Respect the rules and the umpire!
Yes, he's one of the three most phenomenal, brilliant, driven, successful players ever. He's also a bundle of OCD habits and routines that include taking longer than the great majority of players between points. Then again, they may as well get rid of the rule about a time limit between points if they're almost, alllmost...never going to enforce it.

I agree that these things happen on court and is not much of a big deal, but if djokovic did the same, most of you guys would call him arrogant, disrespectful and would such a big fuss about it! This hypocrisy is just disgusting!
Not the worst hypocrisy in this AO
Are you serious ? Most of the comments under this video are criticising Nadal. But don't let facts get in the way of "Mission victimize Djokovic wherever possible".
Becoming even more cranky as he gets older. Umpire was almost laughing at his whining! Because she knows that she's doing her job correctly!
When you're losing everything bothers you.
rules are rules
He's my favorite player - but takes forever in between points, it's about time some umpires call him and penalize him on this crap...good for her!
Nadal takes forever returning serve too
The referee has probably had a few cosmetic surgeries 😄 Everything is still a bit swollen 😄😄
This is the side to Rafa I don't care for. Novak is slammed for so many things, sometimes justifiably. But Rafa is not the simple, shy local guy he portays. He plays mind games to a high order and woe betide the umpire who calls him to task for his ploys.
And he gets away with it because the media is paid to paint him as some sort of angel, even when he is completely in the wrong (👆🏿exhibit A)
I cant take this serious when theme of E.t. is playing in the background xD
Bring back the classic process of ball boys giving players the towels. It's safe, was taken away for that issue, but bring it back now.
Exactly.
They’re ball kids not towel kids. Shouldn’t have to handle those sweaty towels it’s disgusting they ever did it in the first place
Forget the fucking towel - just look at the precision Nadal places his bottle at the correct angle @1:05. Genius!
The thing is Rafa has been around longer than the rules. They changed way after he had 17 slams. And all that time he was used to taking his time.
When Rafa lost he said because of this that injury. Mac Donald played superb, actually. He deserved this win.
Rafa has his quirks and always feels he's being rushed but it is the same for both players.
Ah, the old towel scowl. As we say in German: obsessiff mit...compulsiff, yawh?
