Warrior within was the darkest one. The metal ost, the blood, dismemberment, color palette, the feeling of complete loneliness (no companions or voices inside your head), the anxiety of being followed by the dahaka... My favorite game from the trilogy.
Regardless of the public image of Prince of Persia 2008, this game was like walking through an animated piece of Art for me; its an unfathomable experience that can only be realized by actually playing the game. The world designing made it feel like an rectangular geometry where you always get back to the center of it. The feeling of an isolated utopia or distopia (based on the story progressing) where your only companion is a beautiful lady, a genuinely fitting character, alot of chemistry, with the air romantic, and interactions based on teasing and immersing dialogues... Fantastic follow-up story, art design, sound design (loved the isolated echoing effect over everything!) and music.
For me only the artstyle was amazing. Personally I absolutely hate hub world level design simply because I want a progression and comming back to the central hub after completing one area seems like a regression rather than a progression... especially in a story driven game like this. Not to mention the prince was a twat and sounded and mostly acted like a jersey shore douchebag. Elika was powerfull enough to literally save the prince from falling to certain death, but needed to jump on his back when climbing....wtf was that? Except for the gfx and art which were utterly beautiful, the rest of the game felt totally disjointed. They had good ideas but were not able to create a cohesive package.

"Unmatchable by any game" is a huge exaggeration. A lot of developers put their heart and soul in the game they are working on. God of War series by Santa monica is also a good example, Valve too, i mean when Valve was developing Half-Life nobody belived in them and it was basically a newly formed studio with no big record to speak of making a triple A level title. And they ended up blowing everyone out of the water, Half-Life was a huge commercial and critical success, it is even considered to be one of the best games of all time by many.
Forgotten sands was a legendary one, its water freezing and memory mechanics were great. Never seen any game before, never seen in any game till date. Innovation 101 Ubisoft can never make games like sands of time, forgotten sands and two thrones again because they're greedy as ❤❤❤❤ now
The Warrior Within is my favorite of the series and is up there in my top game list. The Forgotten Sands was a hidden gem. I loved the Sands of Time Trilogy so Forgotten Sands was the closest I was getting to that on 360. I think the movie hurt the game sales because people thought it was a tie-in.

The warrior within was definitely a different approach to the series but in my opinion it was also a brave one as me and many others like the game and even tho it’s not like sands of time it definitely gave us a new feel to the prince and made us appreciate him more as a Character
I used to be a huge fan of the Sands of Time trilogy back in high school, but over the years only the original one has remained as exciting as the first time I played it. Something about its level and artistic design is just of an unmatchable beauty and balance. It's the only one I can call a timeless masterpiece.
Highly overrated, it sold only because of popularity of sands of time ( which was innovative and good for its time). I've been playing warrior within for quite some time now and I am yet to be entertained. Even 2008 didn't feel like that. The game doesn't have a single puzzle.
Back in late 2015 and 2016, I became obsessed with the history of the Prince of Persia games because of the different storylines and variations of gameplay that had got me interested.
The worrier within introduced me with the first two handed combat mechanics that i fell in love with, and the story is way above everything i had ever played before !! You know when dahaka chases you, you have got no choice other than running and the hidden life upgrades were really difficult to find at times !! All in all it made me a true fan boy then ❤
I miss prince of Persia games. Back when Ubisoft were making awesome games. So dark yet fun to play. The story, voice acting everything was so great. Wish Ubisoft starts making prince of Persia games again with Yuri's voice and warrior within atmosphere

I am an Iranian user. With this game, I have many memories of the type of architecture of buildings and music, the arrangement of equipment that was closer to ancient Iran attracted me and made me feel like I was in the past and it was enjoyable for me. But when Assassin's Creed came and the game makers abandoned the Iranian prince and went to Assassin's Creed, I didn't even play the first parts of the Assassin's Creed game, let alone the stories they made so far. I am very upset with the Ubisoft company and I tell them that they still have a first for prince of Persia

2008 is a fantastic game, I so wish that series coud've continued, but people got mad it wasn't a slasher like the original trilogy. But the combat they had was great and intricate, like a fighting game, with combos to explore and a complex opponent to face. And don't forget the "Claw", it did wonders to the usual parkour, by adding some variety to the good old set.

You missed Battles of Prince of Persia (which was the first true Nintendo DS PoP game BTW). It was pretty interesting turn based strategy mixed with card game, unique to the series. Set between first two games of The Sands of Time Tilogy it followed Prince on the run from Dahaka. My opinion? I recommend it for series completionists and open minded players. It was OK, 7/10.

I was at school and with some friends there try to buy 2002 Prince of Persia. We dont had enough money to had one each. So, we united all efforts AND try to play on a great pc one of them have The problem?... We can't go further than the black room at the very beggining. After many days, we decide to return it.
I am not big fan of arcades, so I can't appreciate the first Prince Of Persia as it deserves. But Sands Of Time and Warrior Within - are really masterpieces of art. So different and still so great.
I wish I could look past the older feel of the game, but I’m a bit spoiled by better graphics and controls that playing Sands of Time was… not as fun as I’d hoped. Hopefully the remake will come out soon so I can enjoy the game a lot more.

The commercials for Sands of Time is what got me so interested in Prince of Persia. I loved Sands of Time, and it will be in my list of top 5 games of all time for a long time. I enjoyed Warrior Within and Two Thrones as well because they kept adding new amazing mechanics to the games, and 2008 was such a fun game as well. The art style was different but I enjoyed it a lot. I really loved that the platforming, puzzles and story was the main focus for it instead of combat. I just wished they kept the series going as 3d platformers instead of going 1000% in on Assassin’s Creed. But then again, I’m glad they didn’t because annual Prince of Persia games would ruin it like it did for Assassin’s Creed
I really like fight stunts and sound-tracks of Warrior-Within. Plus the story line is amazing. Whatever Dahaka spoke was gibberish to me. Some say he spoke in reverse. The world environment and story line in Forgotten Sands are great.

I remember with my friend is my neighbor too. between 2003 and 2004, he played Prince of persia sand of time. I Just watch him played. That's so emotional played because needed money and time and focus to obstacle, parkour, and enemy. It was so curousity. We were under junk for game ps2😂.

Am I the only one who loved all the 3d POP games? I mean the main series' story is just so good and so are the mechanics but so is the world of 2008 one's. I love these games and this video game me an awesome idea let's hope i am able to do it.

The commercials for Sands of Time is what got me so interested in Prince of Persia. I loved Sands of Time, and it will be in my list of top 5 games of all time for a long time. I enjoyed Warrior Within and Two Thrones as well because they kept adding new amazing mechanics to the games, and 2008 was such a fun game as well. The art style was different but I enjoyed it a lot. I really loved that the platforming, puzzles and story was the main focus for it instead of combat. I just wished they kept the series going as 3d platformers instead of going 1000% in on Assassin’s Creed. But then again, I’m glad they didn’t because annual Prince of Persia games would ruin it like it did for Assassin’s Creed

Warrior within and 2 thrones has the best fight technique of all games, you'll never see anything like that we can make combination of attacks ourselves, we can strangle and opponent, throw him, slit his throat and so on feels, so fluid, its feels so organic, no game has ever given that level of freedom to the gamer, POP unmatched ❤

I remember with my friend is my neighbor too. between 2003 and 2004, he played Prince of persia sand of time. I Just watch him played. That's so emotional played because needed money and time and focus to obstacle, parkour, and enemy. It was so curousity. We were under junk for game ps2😂.

and Warrior Within is the best for me
the way prince fights off his enemies the parkour in the sword fight the power of sands of time it's incredible
I even made a walkthrough of it
and I'm planning to make something of a recreation from one of its extra in-game video
