Thank you, everyone, for your thoughts about Goof. It was a shock, he was a beautiful dog with a lovely nature.
He was so loved and I’m sure he’ll eventually wait for u (if u believe) in many many years. X
It's 3am here but I'm still watching 😊
❤ my kitties and I send our love. He will be playing happily with all his friends over the rainbow bridge.
❤
💔
You're really tough, Tara. I'm glad you show the shitty parts of farming so people don't idealise it too much. Mad respect
It's important that all aspects are talked abou, I think transparency is very important.
Mama sheep: "whose kids are these? Who left these babies here? Anyone?" 😂
😂😂😂
Im dealing with a tumor in my leg right now, im actually having surgery tomorrow to remove most of the bone in my leg. All that to say i wish i could take away the pain and fear and heartbreak you all just experienced. Having a pet, even a working dog, is years of the happiest you'll ever be followed by the worst possible day of your life.
Run far, play hard, and watch over your loved ones, Goof, you'll never be forgotten, and you'll never stop being loved.
I hope your surgery goes well tomorrow. I wish you the best and will be thinking of you.
@@TaraFarms thank you ❤️
You got this 💗
I hope your recovery goes well.
The picture at the beginning is so true it hurts.
I just recently lost my best girl of 12 years and watching the photos of Goof bought it all back to me. It’s hard losing a piece of your heart when they pass.
I hope they both found the comfort they deserve over that rainbow bridge.
Best of luck❤
I love that the majority of sheep keeping is just moving them from one place to another and back and the sheep VIGOROUSLY fighting against you the entire time
It must be hard to get episodes out when life kicks you in the gut and won't let up. I appreciate being along for the ride during the ups and downs. Thank you Tara!
Thank you, it can be but also editing helps provide time for reflection.
First things first: My condolences for the loss of Goof.
This Vlog entry wasn't lighthearted, wasn't really funny - but that does not mean it wasn't good. It was. The reality of farming can be harsh and seemingly cruel, just as life in general can be. It's the right idea to show this, which you managed well without being crude or jaded. Please keep showing that if you can - it's honest, it's real and RUclips sure could use a lot more of both of those things. Chin up and roll with the punches!
I am a big fan of the Slugcam, especially when she's right in the thick of it. However, today's drone footage was mesmerising and gave a really good impression on how Typo actually works to "compact" a mob of sheep. Also the pregnancy check was interesting to see. I will never use that knowledge, yet I still enjoy learning from you.
Finally, I wish for a complete and speedy recovery for Captain Cooper, the pirate dog. See you next week.
YES!
Thank you for that feedback. I really appreciate it!
@@TaraFarmsthe drone footage of the sheep was spectacular, it shows a beauty in sheep that may be lacking in the day ground work. I can't help but think what a mathematician with an interest in The Golden Ratio would think. Magical.
You are an amazing woman. You have ups and downs and you don’t give up. The aerial shots were amazing. Hope tomorrow is a good day all day.
Thank you, you have got to keep moving because the world keeps turning
The passing of a dog is like losing a member of the family hoping all is well with your family’s loss 😢
I'm so sorry about your dad's dog. It is so hard to lose them so quickly like that. Thanks for the video. Love watching them.
More specific to this video: Dude, loss of a working dog is loss of a core teammate & family member. To, on top of that, lose a lamb in your care AND a few ewes? That is a lot of loss on loss on loss to carry with you as you move through the day and laycdown at night. That s*%t is hard. Hope you and yours are finding ways to grieve and rest, and hope the rest of your week is at least _a bit_ gentler on your heart, because dang.
And as it is said: In time, may Goof's memory be for a blessing. ❤
I am glad the jumpers help. I hope the ones I made help. Some came out real small.
I posted a story using some on twin boys last week before they went to a carer. I’m really thankful for all of them, the smaller ones are great for the little primelines.
Awesome thing to do for the lambs. They're beautiful
Rest in peace you good boy.
Slug wanting to herd the little lamb made me laugh.
Such a stylish Slug!
Love the dog cam!
You are a lovely young lady that always makes me smile. Thank you.
Thank you
Typo does a good job videoing. She definitely deserves a raise 😉 she does an outstanding job on the action shots. I don’t know if her interview style suits the sheep though. But her interview skills with you are amazing. 🤩
Sheep herding just be like “Whose child is this???”
As a card carrying member of the “I do not work on a farm” club, I can confidently say we could not cope with a tenth of what you have to deal with. That’s so so hard. And you’re incredible for being able to do that job with all that weighing on you.
The video was great though! I really really liked the 21:37 montage! The humor with the music opening up into one of the most beautiful drone shots you’ve taken was just breathtaking! I watched it multiple times!
RIP Goof. He was a good lad
Thank you, the drone shots in that video was beautiful. I’m filming next week’s video today and it’s so windy because the rain coming in. Don’t think the drone will be going up!
Big sad, but excited to watch it next Wednesday! Stay dry!
"You lil nusance!" "Mom is evicting you." "Got back splash on my phone." "Love your babies or not?" Haha. I love the commentary!!! And just in the first 2 mins!! Lol. Thank you! I needed that to start my day!!
I don’t spend a lot of time in your comments but, based on what you say in the video, it seems there are a good amount of people telling you what to do or criticizing you and that’s a shame. I watch other sheep and farming channels and they all have different methods of farming or are just learning. Regardless, I don’t think I could ever feel right about criticizing them or giving advice. I might let them know what I saw elsewhere but chances are what Sandi is doing in Canada just doesn’t work in Australia. The laws are different, the weather, the flora and fauna, the predators, the markets, the culture - all different. And sometimes, people just prefer doing things a certain way. I’m 60 and I’ve been watching sheep farming videos for about 4 years now but neither my age nor my video watching skills qualify me 😮to criticize you. Thanks for teaching me a few things and entertaining me. I think you are the most entertaining of all the sheep vlogs and you always put a smile on my face. Oh and Typo is the best non-sheep dog sheep dog!
Yes people LOVE to tell me what to do especially in shorts. I do like suggestions but not being told I don’t care about my animals because I don’t do ___z
I have to hand it to you sheep farmers and farmers in general ,you do really care about your animals and it’s wonderful to see. Thank you Tara I really look forward to your videos . I was a farmer in a past life ,I’m sure of it lol hugs sweety and stay warm xo pjs love typos winter coat, very spiffy lol
Absolutely do. You wouldn't last in the job if you didn't genuinely love it and the animals you work with.
@@TaraFarms oh absolutely it’s a big gig for sure ,you all work so hard for little thanks from every day city slickers. I just love watching yours Sandi and cammy and a few other like to Pemberton . You all make me tired and even when it’s hard days you battle on. So I thank you from the bottom of my heart,I don’t think my electric wheelchair would cope with your hills though lol hugs sweety and aww poor little cooper. My dog recently had cancer ,he is doing so well now but it’s hard when our fur babies are sick or die.hugs suga from Sydney xoxo
22:20 the fluid dynamics of sheep
That was exactly what I was thinking during that scene. :)
I love that shot I thought it looked so cool!!
Glad I'm not the only one who thought that
Condolences for good boi Goof 😢
He was a very good boi!
I’m so sorry about Goof Tara, rest in peace
I just lost my dog on the 24th; I understand the feeling. he had a good life and was loved by you and your dad
I'm so sorry about your losses, Tara. It is so plainly obvious how much you care for the animals you work with, and I know that losing any of them hurts.
PS I would love to sit with Typo. She's a lovely gal, so long as she doesn't dutch oven me 😂
You can sit in an open paddock 😂 and thank you
@@TaraFarms sit in the open air on a cool Australian winter day, with a lovely pup 💜 it's officially Summer here, so that sounds quite nice
I have to agree with you about the charge cords. Got to the stage where you’ve got to have one spare or you’re screwed.
Sorry about the losses ❤❤
Yes the cords are a pain in the ass, they never seem to work when you need them! And thank you
Put my 16 yr old cat down this last Friday, 21st. I know how hard that is,,but I keep reminding myself how good of a life she gave me by living her best life with me! I know he had a great farm dog life with Dad!! Much love for all the farmers and ranchers and their doggos and barn kitties!❤
May your cat rest in peace knowing they are very much loved.
Sorry man that sucks. It sounds like you loved her and she loved you stay strong man.
You’re a legend Tara. I’m so impressed with your work ethic, attitude & compassion. Condolences to you & your family. Farming is tough & stops for no one✌🏼
You're such a good person, Tara. Those sheep can be the bane of your existence, but if they need help, you're right there.
The birthing scene was so heartwarming and sweet, it’s the little victories that keep us going ❤
Hard to say goodbye to an old comrade.
It a very sad day when ya four legged mate pass on.
On a brighter note- come on more dog cam action please. The Airial view is great to.
The problem with Slug cam is she bouncing around like a loose marble and it gets motion sicky quickly
@@TaraFarms the unlucky person who edits the videos gets queezy 😂😂
Sometimes mother nature pulls a nasty one on you, but that is what we accept may happen when we take animals under our care.
Be happy that they did not have to suffer, and that their time alive was good.
Had dogs my entire life and have seen many pass away, never ever gets any easier... But it is also not enough to stop me from getting another dog. The happiness out shines the sorrow these times bring.
RIP, may you herd them sheep's on the other side.
thanks for showing the reality and thanks for the montage of typo and goof having fun
Condolences to you and your dad Tara
My condolences for both Goof and the lil lamby :( at the very least fresh lil lambies are born, and those are adorable
As always, a brilliant look into the life of a farmer. You and the family are such great farmers- looking out for all the animals in your care. As a consumer, this is a great look at how food arrives at the plate.
So sorry for the loss of Goof, a great working dog is a huge loss.
Take care.
Thank you
Omg im terribly sorry about Goof. Please send my thoughts and condolences to your dad and the rest of the family and give the dogs a big cuddle for me as they will miss Goof even more than you guys x
Thank you, Leo and Dad’s other dogs were devastated.
I’m sure that you all were, they are part of the family after all. Hopefully he’s running free over the rainbow 🌈 bridge no longer suffering from anything
Losing an animal is heartbreaking gentle hugs
RIP Goof❤
Heal quickly Cooper❤
Tara you're a strong woman .thank you for sharing all aspects of farmlife. No matter where these sheep end up after they leave your farm, it's comforting to know that you care for them so well while they reside with you and your family.
Im sorry for your loss, and that on top of a really rough week. You and Typo both work so hard, keep the spirits up 🤗
Love the drone clips, one can really see the way everyone moves.
Thx for explaining what you did and what you were looking for in that last sorting, it was really interesting.
Glad you liked it, I wasn’t sure if that was too technical 😂
I don’t know how many of my viewers are checking sheep tits in their day to day
I am so sorry for your loss. Edit - you are having a rough time with things around the farm. Wishing you better days ahead.
Thank you. We’re meant to get rain today so that’s great news.
I don't even know what I'm doing here to be honest. Apart from my bf's cousin having a microsopic, compared to yours, sheep flock I have no business being here. But for some reason I am enjoying these vlogs. And I fuess that's what really matters, right? Also the strong Australian accent is wonderful to listen to.
You're a tough bean, Tara. Having all these animals around you who sometimes die or have to be euthanised is not easy. I applaud you! I don't think I could do this. You're a strong one and the world needs strong ones.
I only found you like 2 weeks ago, randomly came across a short about the lamb that was apparently birthed onto a fence.
So sad.
But yeah the vlogs are very interesting, also seeing how Typo does so well even tho she makes a few mistakes here and there. But the way she handles the sheep is just wow. Runs there, back, there, back again and all sheep are where they need to be. Dogs are so smart!
Thank you for the content, sending hugs and love to you and all the sheepies, lambs and ofc Typo, she's the star of this whole thing. Ok i'll stop rambling now!
Anna, from Latvia 🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to watch the videos. I want to show people where food comes from and what farmers have to do to get it on your table!
@@TaraFarms Did not expect a reply. Thatnk you. Yeah I have fun and laughs and tears watching you content. So thank you for that. Keep doing this because it does show the side of loss and steuggles as well. It is so easy to go int a grocery store and buy a piece of meat and not think about where it came from or what the animal went through until it became food for so many people.
Things are hard sometimes, having to witness an animal go through a traumatic event and then they pass away is deff not easy. I cry when that happens, even if I am not there, I'm just here on my phone thousands of miles away watching it.
Stay strong and carry on!
OMG. I laughed so hard when you said you're getting a sideview of typo and there it was.
Ah Tara having to be carer of so many sheep, well done.
I love your content, can’t save every single lamb hun especially with how many your lambing out it sad but all part of life’s crazy reality your doing such a lovely job
That’s very true
I had to wait 29 minutes and 5 seconds for the PYEW PYEW PYEWS,,, was worth the wait 🙂
I didn't know they were so requested. 😂💀
@@TaraFarms my favorite part, highlight of my day 🙂
It is so hard to lose a pet. I cherish each day I get to spend with my fur babies
tara has a very unique expression when feeding orphan lambs that has so much emotion in it, i love watching it
you're such a good person, thanks for letting us get a view into Typo's life and the sheep and stuff
Another idea, have you thought about using a yoga strap or a belt gate they use on nursing home residents/physical therapy patients to help get the sheep who have been down? It gives you a solid place to hold onto while the sheep get more steady as well as protects your back. I would also suggest you wear a back belt/si belt while you are lifting because it will help you lift more as well as protect you from injury.
So sorry to hear of the loss of a good dog. He will live forever in your memory. Loved seeing the care you expertly provide to the birth mothers. Any loss of life is a shock, and you do all you can to prevent it. Good Job!!!
I’ve had French bulldogs that have had eye ulcerations. It takes months to get them to heal. Even then one had to have her eye removed and lived for five years after just fine.
It’s tough when you lose a dog and I imagine a working dog who was a partner is even harder. So sorry.
I enjoy that you give it all to us... the good, the bad, and the ugly. I'm sorry about the loss of your dad's dog. That's never easy. I always look forward to the uploads. Thank you!!
The footage of the birds swooping around the sheep is truly stunning!
Good morning Tara. Absolutely Great video this week ! The mix of your humor along with how professional you are when needed is amazing. Great drone footage too. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, I appreciate that.
Love the farm Tara good days and sad days
Sorry about the dog and the lamb 💔 Might try also using a tote bin when warming the babes it may keep them from wandering. Sandy uses the bins as well 💚
As an Australian I've learnt so much from your videos. Thank you Tara. You're bloody brilliant.
That is so kind of viewers to send it coats for the lambs! You people are awesome!
Nothing but respect for you. Thank you for showing us all the parts of farming. so sorry for your loss… good boy has earned his rest.
also those ariels were insane! what awesome footage!
Adorable hard-working Typo sporting her stylish winter frock. 🥰🥰
Condolences to your family from mine. We just lost a family pet as well, on the 27th of May. He was a 14th month old cat. Super healthy. Eating food, drinking water, using the litter box. He suddenly showed signs of illness and passed in less than 6 hours. We still don't know why. Very heart breaking....
Oh Tara tell your dad I am so sorry about Goof. That is so sad. 😥😥12:16 I swear that ewe had a smile on its face while you were giving it a massage. 😊😊
It was the only time she stood still 😂 and thank you
Aw, Goof... May his rest at the Bridge be peaceful and may you meet again some day.
Cooper looks good with his cyclops-ing, but! Hope he doesn't have to deal with the vet cone for much longer
Thank you.
Vet cone comes off Monday. It’s 2 weeks today since he had his surgery.
New to the channel and loving your content. This video has so much interesting stuff in it but I wanted to say the part where Typo jumped over the fence (14:01) was so cool. Yes, I know that is just a 1 second clip of a 30 minute video but the way she moved was just so fluid and beautiful. You can tell she just loves her “job” (although I doubt she sees it as a job) and I just wanted to give her a bit of a shoutout. I’ve learned a lot watching this thanks so much for sharing what you do 🤍💟🐑💟🤍
Great vlog Tara showing the reality when farming sheep, that it's not a easy job working the Land 😜
drone and slug cam rock!
Oh man. Sorry for the challenges of being such a compassionate shepherd and person. That drone shot of the birds wheeling over the sheep was glorious! Also, the drone shot of the tiny rice seeds whirling around the gate opening… and then closing it on themselves!! 😂🤣😂
I wanted to keep more of that footage in because they busted through the gate but the music didn’t allow for it 😂
14:04 slug clears that fence with room to spare but can’t go under a gate. God I love dogs some of the silliest creatures.
I admire your no nonsense personality. And you look good in red. 👍
Hello from South Africa, The drone footage is soooo cool, the sheep look like they are doing Synchronized swimming! There are always going to be bad days and good days, that is life, keep your chin up and keep on keeping on!
Thanks for sharing
Typo really had her work cut out for her today. So did you. 😂 ❤
You are a truly wonderful, strong woman. Those Ewes, Lambs *and doggies* are lucky to have you ♥️
Deepest condolences for your losses. Wishing yall well
Always enjoy your content. Goof's already herding in the next world. 🐑😊
Before this video I was thinking about my dog who had passed and I clicked on it without reading the title. I understand the feeling I’m so sorry for your loss. Rest in peace good boy. You can herd and run forever now in warm fields without thorns or thistles and sleep whenever you want. Free to roam unharmed forever 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
I have so much respect for you and Typo and what you guys do all day every day. Clearly its not easy. Im sad to hear that youve lost a dog, on top of all those lambs. What a week. Heres to better days 🍺
Sorry about the tough day. So hard to lose a dog. They are our best friends. Your drone shots were awesome
This month has been so so tough on pets. I had to put down my 8 yr old cat recently, a friend had to put down her elderly dog. Kabosu (Doge) passed away and so much more.
Rainbow Bridge is having a laugh, I swear. They're all running around up there causing trouble I'm sure
Honestly if even the pope says animals go to heaven I can promise u they’re all friends up there.
I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you're ok.
@@TaraFarms Thanks
Loss of any kind sucks, my condolences. Makes me cherish even more the 11 coming up to 12 happy and healthyish years I have had with my boy (cat). 8 years is too short💔. But anytime with a pet in our lives is a blessed time indeed.
@@Seraphina93 unfortunately, animals have no soul nor eternal spirit, thus, it is a nice sentiment. Tho untrue. I am content knowing someday my boy will go back to the earth. And thats that.
RIP GOOF
Great drone shots in this one Tara!
And awesome work at 12.09. Even though she didn't make it, you tried really hard for her, massage and all. 💜
Thank you, I think the drone shots in this one were awesome.
And thank you.
It's so cool watching Typo herd them from the air ... so sorry for the loss of the mom & babies
Tara don't be hard on your self it's not your fault the lamb got cold you tried to do everything for it. Sorry about your Dad's dog R.I.P 💔🕊️🥀❣️🐑 🐶
Really liked the explanation & footage of the udder/pregnancy check.
That drone footage was so cool to watch!
I know how devastating that a fast growing tumor like that is. It happened to one of my dogs years ago. Sorry for your and your dad s loss.from Texas.
Measuring phone cord lifespan in usage hours is such a farmer thing to do!
i like the aerial shots of your meadow maggots kind of cool
just joined the channel :-)
Thank you Doug!!
Great to see ya!
Condolences for your loss, we lost our boy that way years ago. It's a brutal cancer.
Might consider a plastic tote for the warmer but then it could require shorter intervals to check health.
Sandi would have more insight on that topic than me.
Aww one eye is better than the alternative. Resilience 🦋
Dam u have me wetting myself every vlog!! Your terminology is spot on!! 😅Sorry about your loss. Sheep dogs are not just pets. They are friends for life.
Sorry to hear about Goof, they really do become family members.
I think from the ladies reaction you need to warm your hand up before going for a grab LOL
I'm so sorry about Goof. Hope Cooper is recovering well from his surgery. Thanks for sharing the ups and downs of sheep farming. ❤ i love watching your videos! 😊 you're a legend! 🎉
Every time, I just watch the drone footage over and over. It's so pleasing.
❤ 18:49 my German shepherd had both her eyes out 2 years ago, she had the onset of graves disease,, she was 8... shes doing amazing now
I’m glad she’s doing better now!
So sorry the lamb and ewe didn’t make it. Not an easy day for you but you tried! Have slug give you a hug!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I'm so sorry about your losses, you truly are tough. Please take care of yourself as well, just like you take care of your dogs and sheep. You are so lovely and brave. I have so much respect for you.
Rest easy Goof, you did good, really good
I recently lost my 2 year old german shepherd to bone cancer, we think she got a hairline break in her ulna that allowed an infection in. We amputated the leg, but it was too late, a second tumor grew on her side. I feel for your loss. It's hard and takes a long time to get easier. My prayers go out to your family and your dad. It's one of the hard things we have to deal with as human care takers of animals.
So sorry to hear about the passing of "GOOF" .
I am so sorry about Goof, losing a dog is always hard but with it coming so soon and out of the blue is always the worst. 😢
Man that poor sheep. I can't imagin how horrific it would be to be stuck on the ground while crows eat you babies. I wouldn't want to stand after that either. Sorry for all your losses. Especially the dog. I've been there and it's devastating.
I always say I’m like a goat gynecologist when it comes to breeding, kidding and milking. Always checking volva and teats. Not to mention having a whole arm in there to help with kids. You get real aware of what your looking for and feeling for. Tara your a sheep gyno 😂 sorry I’m dumb but I hope I lightened the mood a bit, I’m so sorry for your families loss. Hugs. It’s very hard when you loose a working partner, they are there for everything and know you best. 😢 so sorry.
