- In this episode of the Outsiders Noah and Mark head to down to the Lower Niagara River for their first time in months. With temperatures quickly rising they are eager to catch some steelhead before they are all gone. In this video they are able to land some nice steelhead and even some big smallmouth bass. Not sure when you filmed (whether it was April or more recently in May), but the Lake Erie water temps are up in the low 50s already. That river water is probably several degrees warmer than Lake Ontario right now. The hike out of there is crazy...props to your old man for making that hike up all those stairs. Not easy at all.
