I’ve passed over this one a lot. Glad to hear that it’s actually good. Finishes are more miss than hit for me, but I have noticed that most finished products that I’ve enjoyed seem to be finished for roughly 2 years or more. I take it to be the extended finishing time, allows for the finish to integrate with the base whiskey more.
Although it wasn't called a "double oaked", my fav by far in the past year have been the Florida aged 8 year MGP from Copper & Cask. The blend more than the picks, which were also great. This is by 100 miles too, they did something special with these.
Ive seen it in a few locations, but any new brand without any history is a hold for me, especially at that price. I guess the DO is officially on the list now! Cheers!
I was lended a sample of the Double Oak not too long ago. It was good but wasn't having me go out and buy my own ($$). I felt it still needed something extra ("oomph" a word you perfectly used in regards to the non DO) But it was also done without a direct comparison to the standard Fox and Oden. I can pass and be ok without. One thing to watch for is as Magnus Cigar Blend batches have lessened in quality with the loss of those higher aged bourbon stocks that they once had, if F&O will run into that same problem in the future.
I’m on my last bottle of Batch 1, I’ve been telling bourbon groups I’m in how good this bottle is since I grabbed it towards the end of 2022, if you want a sample of batch 1 let me know and I’ll send one your way!
Have a bottle but haven't opened it yet; Thanks for the great review! Will open now for sure!
A great review. Ive passed on that DO bottle a few times because of the price tag & lack of info, but am hunting for the DO today! Thanks!
I picked up the Fox & Oden regular Bourbon and the Double Oaked last year and have been enjoying both of them . Good stuff. 🥃
Picked up a bottle last month and really enjoyed it.
I had tasting at a local store where Fox Oden representative came and gave a great tasting. They said Nancy helped with the blending.
Will have to look for this. Nice review

Nice review. Had to subscribe after I saw my boys from @bourbonjunkies with the EverNorth pick. Their stuff is so good! Cheers to yah.

The fox and oden double oaked is my favorite of the double oaks that I've tried so far
Finally! It’s good dude
I have one and love it as well
13th Colony DO Batch2 for me, so different then any DO I’ve tried. Peerless DO is great too. Haven’t see the Fox & Oden. Need to find one
Oddly I love the Nulu DO but it’s it’s a pick. and I’m a big Peerless DO fan. i’ll have to snag this to try
Awesome, I am doing my review this weekend against yours !! It will be killer
Will be looking!
I just can't do double okaed or toasted! I get crappy old popsicle stick note. So if that note is hidden it may be okay
I picked up the DO batch 4 today in VA, 89 bucks. I think it’s delicious, not spectacular though.
It's extremely good!

F@O dbl oak is brilliant.
I prefer the Peerless Double Oak. Maybe a blind is in store.
WHISKEY CHEERS 😎
Shhhhh, don't tell anybody or it'll be unobtainable.
Pursuit United DO.
