@DrumsandDrams blind calls: 1 Double Oak Theme 2 Brown-Forman on the 1910 3 Thirteenth Colony 4 Michter's "C or G" 5 Kentucky on the OC contra @BourbonJunkies MGP. This dude is YODA
This is the best segment that you guys do, and Cam fit right in. Michter's Toasted Rye is one of my favorites, but blinds are flat out crazy. Great job!
I am a fan of bourbon in Korea. I recently purchased 2 bottles of CN-F from Costco, and the ullage of the 2 bottles is different. Anyone can see a difference. Is this a common phenomenon?
@@LeatherDaddy97 michters I’d say is close enough being that the second barrel is just toasted instead of charred. Makers mark 46 is just staves added to the primary barrel. At least that’s my understanding
"I often mistake green apple for sawdust" Gotta love Cam stealing the episode with 1 joke even though Vampire tried like 100 of his usual insult-Dan-jokes...
Best video ever? Maybe. Funniest video ever? Definitely in the running! Would love to see the uncut version of this! I've always thought you two should right your scores down so there's no swaying a score after hearing the first one. With three people, I think it's even more important to score secretly. You can still say all the same notes and reactions, just don't share the scores until you total up the points.
Man I wonder if I tried some of these 80’s and 90’s scored whiskeys if they would be in my top 10. That michter’s toasted is probably in my top 5 and I have to consciously restrain myself from draining it due to how hard it is to find
You’re right, but there are conditions to that. I like F&O because it doesn’t necessarily taste “double oaked” in the way that most things on the market do. The second barrel added depth without adding harsh notes. So for me, unblind, that’s my favorite, based largely on my own desire of what I’d like double oaked products to aim for more often. That said, there’s no doubt that 13th Colony DO mops the floor with it in a blind. The Old Carter didn’t taste double oaked to me in this flight, which is very interesting, but it’s just damn good 13yr bourbon. Anyways, all that to say that blind v. unblind changes things in this case, and I didn’t do a great job in the F&O video explaining that.
@@DrumsAndDrams That makes total sense. I see where you are coming from. Thank you for making the effort to clarify. I’ve come to really appreciate your content and rely on your perspective a great deal. I want to commend you on your well articulated and well thought out approach to whiskey reviews. I’m a big fan of your channel and it says a lot about you that you would take the time to respond. Thanks man, I appreciate it. Cheers 🥃
13th colony double oaked is a hitter. 2xo is disappointing and very young tasting. The bromance between dan and cam keeps going. I like dans shirt design but i dont know who noah kahan is.
@DrumsandDrams blind calls:
1 Double Oak Theme
2 Brown-Forman on the 1910
3 Thirteenth Colony
4 Michter's "C or G"
5 Kentucky on the OC contra @BourbonJunkies MGP.
This dude is YODA
🫡
definitely yoda in height😂
Prequels Yoda
This is like a throwback to the audio quality from your videos from the gym with white walls lol
This is hysterical! You guys knocked this out of the park. Please do this again......
No Woodford do?
Yeah you guys have done whole videos on woodford DO picks!
Was wondering this too, still great vid
woodford is meh. wouldn't have stood up
They already knew that it would be number one lol
@@red5standingby419 it beats the Mitchers, Peerless and the 2xo at the very least
No Sagamore??
Sagamore is all rye, but I hear the double rye is pretty awesome
Maybe a dumb question but why no WRDO?
Wild guess: it's made from the same base juice as the 1910. So maybe just to save space?
No woodford or sagamore? I’m ouuuut
No Woodford 🤔
This was gold through and through BUT 16:45 was by far the best part 😂
This is the best segment that you guys do, and Cam fit right in. Michter's Toasted Rye is one of my favorites, but blinds are flat out crazy. Great job!
Love you guys. You keep me sane in a crazy world. Keep up the videos.
Why put in a Rye when you had Woodford DO?
Cam showin' he really does have a killer pallet. You guys are a blast together. We need more of this!
Let’s see the other 40 minutes you trimmed out of this Sean 😂 fun stuff guys!!
Nice collab video. And solid calling out the theme on the 2nd pour and bottle call on 13th Colony.
PS Sean's sweatshirt is 🔥!!
Hats off to Sean for dealing with that and somehow compiling this video.
Woodford Double Oaked store picks for the win!
Can you imagine if JD made a double Oaked at barrel strength?
You guys do an awesome job and you guys are my spirit animal as I’m working 60 hours a week.
The team up I didn’t know I needed!
Definitely need some reels to be posted of what was cut.
😅
Bring back the step stool for Cam.
These guest appearances remind me of cross-over sitcom characters (e.g., Petticoat Junction characters show up on Green Acres).
lol love you three together. Pure comedy. lol those pink frilly eye covers 😂 wth. Nice drink through theme. Love double oaked.
Does Jack daniels twice barreled heritage rye barrel fit into this category? That dram is amazing
Awesome video guys, had me laughing all the way through lol cheers!
How did Woodford get skipped?
So they could get about 150 comments asking that same thing
That was an awesome episode....more please 😂 Mark in SoCal
I have a Hirsch Double Oaked store pick that is amazing...
How do y'all think Sagamore Double Oaked would have done in this blind?
There are a few double oaked bottles I like! Nice to see and hear your thoughts!
I’m a huge old Carter fan what batch is double oaked ??
I am a fan of bourbon in Korea. I recently purchased 2 bottles of CN-F from Costco, and the ullage of the 2 bottles is different. Anyone can see a difference. Is this a common phenomenon?
Should do a gaslight video where you have a guest and taste it one at a time and try to get them lower or higher scores by saying random notes
Can you give more info on which old Carter that was boys? I love my 13 yo American whiskey from them
Maker’s 46 cask strength bats way above its weight. Surprised to not see it or Woodford here.
Makers 46 isn’t a double oak
@@free1c0nic88 depends what we are calling double oak. the michters isnt a double oak either by the same logic
@@LeatherDaddy97 michters I’d say is close enough being that the second barrel is just toasted instead of charred. Makers mark 46 is just staves added to the primary barrel. At least that’s my understanding
Yeah I would not consider 46 as double oaked since it's not rebarreled
13th Colony and the Fox & Oden are my favorites these days.
Head shotted the 13th colony. Wow. 🤯 😮
"I often mistake green apple for sawdust" Gotta love Cam stealing the episode with 1 joke even though Vampire tried like 100 of his usual insult-Dan-jokes...

You guys are great together. Biggest surprise for me was 1910 doing so well
It is so so good. Not sure why it is surprising?!
@@jj18057 Spoilt batches with too much tobacco and roasted/earhty/bitter notes. That's why.
Is this the best video you've done?
Release the unedited version!
Great lineup!

“Shoot the gap. I’m the gap” poor guy haha never had a double oak thanks for the recommendations
Look how tall Cam got now that he is hanging out in Michigan.
For its price and availability, 1910 is the 🐐 double Oaked bourbon !!
You left woodford off to give the others a fighting chance I see.
"A sawdust a day keeps the Doctor away. " Classic. 😂
"Cuz....I confuse sawdust and sour apples all the time"....
Love YOU guys, great vid
If Cam keep's up this performance he is going to win Matt Madness this year. Watch out Dan!
I can only imagine how long it took Sean to edit this one😂😂
This was a good one, well done all across the board, except for Dan's vocab 🤪😝
Ooh!! Double Eiffel Tower over Shawn!!!! These boys is gettin wild!!!
Heck of a tasting lineup
Did y’all adopt cam
You need to define a perfect '50' score bourbon and then take a shot of that before every test where you rate whiskeys on a 1 to 100 scale
Need to include Sagamore Double Oaked
No mics?
If I don’t have water between tastes… it’s very hard to distinguish notes
The audio is weird, is has that hall effect. something went wrong?
was sound done with a potato?
I was expecting this to be shorter....OOOh there's Cam
😂
No Penelope Toasted?
Couple more drinks and Cam and Dan would have been making it y the end of it
I just a saw recent video of Cam’s where he said Fox & Oden is his favorite DO product thus far. Doesn’t square with this video.

MTBR last place??
This had me laughing the whole episode
You couldn't get him a milk crate to stand on? 😂
Double oak sag ??
Over on RUclips?!? @DanShook where the hell do you think THIS video is?!? 🤪
Why does it sound likes this? Prince purple rain echo on everything. I blame Seen
Did I see that mask on the last episode of the BOYS. 😅😅😅
We’re is the OG Woodford Reserve?
13th colony double oaked is a hitter. 2xo is disappointing and very young tasting. The bromance between dan and cam keeps going. I like dans shirt design but i dont know who noah kahan is.
2XO is kinda tasty but even on sale at $45... not worth it. Maybe if it was $35.
@@markcalhoun8219 well thats the american oak. Most of the 2xos (including the one in the video) are $105 and i think they are $45 bottles max
@@LeatherDaddy97 yeah the higher priced stuff is even less of a deal definitely.
@@LeatherDaddy97totally agree
Still love it. Still love you, I mean Cam is lame but what can you do…
😢
1st. great jobs guys
1/2 oz pour = Cam
Carpaccio is not cheese 😂
Lol Sean is so annoyed
Nice Eiffel Tower over Shawn
It’s weird that you guys don’t let new comers feel welcomed… every other bourbon channel does
Audio sound wonky
Mics appear off
How you have Peerless DO Bourbon in here over the rye??? Blasphemous!!
What’s up with the audio?!
Had to use the camera audio
Why no Woodford Reserve Double Oaked? Befuddling.
No woodford, no good.
