I started with Elite more or less in January, not even a year into playing it and I've already spent more than 1000 hours 😅, despite that, only in these last 10 to 20 hours or so I finally decided to annihilate something bigger than an Goid scout😁, I just used the known Conda build (the one of Down to Earth) and with the Cyclops it's literally like cutting butter with a hot knife🤤🤣, studying your video for the Basilisk and the Hydra, I think the Conda has its limit in the maneuverability and maybe it is better to sacrifice some firepower like in your build since the Corvette is much better at that.

The 1 empty slot in the optional internals, holds the AX weapon stabilizers, the website doesn't have that till now. 1 slot in the hardpoints has been left intentionally as I had used a thermal vent beams before but then didn't find the use when switched to shard canons. And the last empty slot in the utility mounts, holds the enhanced xeno scanner. (Again the website has not updated the new stuff yet, so it wont show up).
Haven't played in a while and i got my fed rank along time ago so im not sure how it is done these days. But this is what reddit says in 2023: Get a small or medium ship with minimum 13.7 Ly jump range then head to Perry's Folly in Ochosi system. Pick up data delivery missions from Federation factions only to Chargaff Installation or Williams Dock in Chakpa. Fly to Chargaff Installation drop off mission. Pick up any data delivery missions back to Perry's Folly in Ochosi. Fly back to Perry's Folly in Ochosi to drop off missions. Repeat. Be on the lookout for mission named “Federal Navy…” which will allow you to rank up. This seems boring but faster.
Fighters die too quickly to make any difference. If they get hit with caustic missiles, it's over. They can't take hits either. They are not nearly at tough as scouts
you'd have to give up a vital hull reinforcement to fit the fighter bay, so not really worth the little to no benefit, but if you want one for RP reasons then go for it.
Fighters cause insane lag for other players, take away a ton of your money and combat rank, waste a slot that you could use for armor or something else, and have very little utility other than making a short distraction, which NPC AX pilots defending stations do a much better job of anyways.
Getting all the requisite weapon data blueprints went pretty quickly; tho' I did get to know the layout of the Guardian structure really, really well by the end of it! Personally I felt the biggest pain was getting enough reputation with Azimuth for the Mbooni permit. A lengthy and unenjoyable process... Azimuth really are pretty slimy as Megacorps go
Its not a grind at all, i found the guardian bases while exploring and spent 2 hours messing around and i have all mods unlocked and 2 weapons. You don't need to do everything nor grind stuff out in one sessions, It takes 5 or 6 jumps to go back.
You get premium ammo by collecting these materials first: 8 Carbon, 4 Vanadium, 8 Crystal Shards, 6 Guardian Power Cell. First three can be obtained from raw material traders by giving other materials you might have or you will have to collect them yourself, you can check our material gathering guide by Exigeous on youtube, his guides are pretty solid and check the raw material method. And for the guardian power cell, you will need to head to a guardian site such as Synuefe NL-N C23-4 or Synuefe GT-H B43-1. Once you head there, destroy the pillar compartments there to get the power cells. Once you have enough of these, just head onto your module panel and scroll to your guardian shard canons and click on it. In this panel you can synthesis three types of ammo Basic, Standard and Premium. Choose premium.

You can manually change your FOV by going to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Graphics\ Open Settings.xml using notepad, Find line 60.000000 and change value to your desired FoV. 60 is default max I am using 76

In the recent update they released something called the "Experimental Weapon Stabilizer", There are two classes, class 3 and 5. Class 3 of this module lets you increase AX weapon capacity by 1, Class 5 increases by 2. You can get these from those Rescue Mega-ships or from Shinrata Dehzra.

They come as Class 1 and Class 2 Guardian Shard Cannons with Focused, Long Range, and Penetrator Munitions.
All of my internal slots are mostly used for engineered hull reinforcements for hull tanking, Additionally thargoid scouts deal phasing type damage, which means damage passes through shields. My corvette build is a scrapped together design based off previous cold orbiting builds that I've used. The current one is what I use for planetary AX defense.

Did they nerfed this? I built exactly the same ship including engineering but I couldn't kill a cyclop that easily, still far easier that krait mk2 build tho

@Joe Dollar Biden I was in the same boat. Went to medium ships and learned how to cold orbit and tried more and more ships now. Finally yesterday got my first hydra solo on my new mk2 build I did.
this doesnt look like much fun...no challenge...no danger....i hope i will not have this expierence. i just started the game 3 weeks ago and this makes me sad to see
You do you commander!, To me it is fun building ships that can do this kind of stuff, The whole process of engineering and collecting materials for it and finally building the ship that can overwhelm the thargoids. I mean sure, the competitive aspect is lost here where you need to do cold orbiting and stuff like those. But in the end, you bought the game, you play it the way you want :D
This is some serious current end-game hardware that Anthua is packing and it takes a LOT of gameplay to get to this level of destruction. You have plenty of fun and challenge ahead of you! I have ships that shred through human NPC pirates if I just want to make quick money, and I have ships that require much more dogfighting to take them down for more of a challenge.

Gotta become a mailman. Make lots of data delivery drops. It can be done in about 12 hrs.
Do shards extract hearts well on higher level thargoids? I currently run 4 engineered plasma chargers but they take a while to extract hearts
Plasma can do better at exerting. Shards(engineered) is good for damaging the heart.

Regular can't do much damage because of low penetration damage.

You can have more than 4 AX weapons if you have a Experimental Weapon Stabilizer.
Bro what keybinds do you use for the heatsinks and field neutralizer?
V (default) for Heatsinks.
Extra mouse button 5 for field neutralizer since AX combat is what I primarily do in game.

They did not nerf this, I am using premium ammo on my smaller hard points to increase the damage.
