    I love my Kobalt Pole Saw - 80-volt - 5-ah battery - 10" Bar - 6 ft / 8ft foot Pole Saw. No cable. Using an Oregon Bar and Chain. I have been using it for more than 3 years now. It works great on my southeast Louisiana farm clearing property that a hurricane went through and trashed all the trees in the woods of our 20-acre farm. I carry it all over our woods and the battery lasts a long time. Today I'll be cutting a 6-inch limb off of a tree out front.

Brushless String Trimmer and 80V Lithium-Ion Cordless Brushless 21 In. Self-Propelled Lawn. I use 80v 2.5 Ah 40v 5.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery with a 40v And 80v Dual Voltage Rapid Battery Charger.

      I’ll see what I can do. The next tool I wanted to get by ATLAS is their 80V leaf blower. I will do reviews on these as soon as I can, it may be a little while though. I was thinking about doing a video on how to change out the string in the trimmer and how to maintain the chain on the 10” pole saw. What do you think? For starters anyway.

    Mastering Mayhem - Thanks for this video. I've been thinking about getting one of these Atlas pole saws and your video is very informative. A friend of mine who owns a LOT of land has an older model of this saw that he uses all the time to clear trails through the woods and he loves it. He did suggest buying the extended warranty just in case anything goes wrong, but he hasn't had any problems with his saw. After seeing your video I think I'll buy one of my own.

    Great video thx! I just bought the 80v version today and it cuts great. Very happy with it. The only annoying thing is the bar chain oil reservoir level indicator is useless. You can’t see anything through that white plastic. They should have made it clear. I have to take off the cap to see how much oil is in it. Other than that it’s awesome.

    I have this saw and it works very fine. The problem I have is that it leaks oil from the oil filler cap and it's not the threads but the tiny breather hole in the center cap. They sent me a new cap and it does it too. I went to the store and they told me that it's not a problem and to live with it?

    What about chain oil?is it automatic or manual, also seems like you have the chain too tight,should have some play in it .yours don't. and u should say something quick about how its adjusted and last ,it seems as though the chain teeth are uneven due to how the saw is bouncing around while you were cutting the 10" log.

    I heard from on one of the reviews that getting the battery with a cheaper tool then, getting the extended warranty was a way to go. Because covering the expensive battery was the concern. However, buyer beware, the associate at my local HF said the batteries are not covered by any extended warranties. 90 day on it is all you get. Now, can you live with that?

    • @nickabel8279
      @nickabel8279 3 года назад +1

      Batteries only get the 90 day warranty. I've heard it uses samsung cells. Batteries are 110 normal price (compare other brands).

    I love this saw too but I’ve noticed mine will stop sometimes mid cut. I’ll wait a second and restart and it runs fine. Any ideas? I thought for sure yours would do that on the 10” log but it chugged through it.

    • @MasteringMayhem
      @MasteringMayhem  4 года назад

      How long have you had it? Maybe some maintenance needs to be done, if you haven’t done it in a while? Not saying you haven’t. Sometimes the tools have an overheating safety function that kicks in, so it may be that? The only other thing I can think of is check and make sure chain is oiled. That’s all I have.

    • @joshhaas2410
      @joshhaas2410 4 года назад +2

      Mastering Mayhem used it for the first time today. Cut branches using a full brand new battery and the thicker, harder ones is where it would occasionally stop. It was full of oil too. I’ll go out, clean it and check chain tensioner as well. I’ll be using it on a big tree trimming project at my moms this weekend and we’ll see how it goes. If it does it regularly I may take it back. Hoping not though, it’s a great saw other than that.

    • @MasteringMayhem
      @MasteringMayhem  4 года назад +1

      @@joshhaas2410 Oh, brand new huh? Maybe adjust the chain, it might be too tight. That’s interesting that it’s doing that though. I haven’t had any issues yet.

      I don’t recommend this, but after getting my adult daughter to pull on one end to help me get the two ends apart , I put a little of the pole saw oil in a cloth, slightly dampening the cloth and rubbed it inside of the exterior connecting pole. I didn’t want much oil contact because I didn’t want to affect the connection point. After doing this it is easy to separate the two poles.
