Man, you look just like a guy that came into our jiu jitsu class to assist with teaching and cutting weight in the early 2000's. Good review and keep it up.
I bought one of these last year. Worked well. However, be very careful how you store it. I hung mine from the ceiling in my garage. Over time the bar oil leaked out of the breather hole in the cap and ran down the pole and into the handle assembly. It also ran into the battery compartment. I didn't notice it right away. The bar oil destroyed the plastic handle assembly and it fell apart the next time I used it. Now it's a pile of junk.
You're welcome. Don't forget the hole in the bar needs to be greased with a saw grease gun to lubricate the sprocket and refill the bar oil tank when the battery dies. These tips are for everyone. Thanks for watching!
I'm still happy with mine. I've cut several 12ft dump truck loads last year trimming trees around the house. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask in the comments. Thanks for watching!
It is I have cut several 3500 dump truck loads and it does the job. If you have someone helping you they can hear you instead of a chainsaw running or turning it off and then having to restart it. Be sure and watch part 2 in the lawn and garden playlist and as always thanks for watching!
I've never had that problem. You got to keep the chain tight but not too tight. Too much slack will make it jump every 5 minutes. Watch my video again and watch part 2 in the lawn and garden playlist where I show how much slack you should have. Also if your bar is worn out or your sprocket is worn out that could kick the chain off. The chain does get loose or worn while you use it and needs to be retightened. Keep a check on it from time to time. If you have replaced the chain make sure you have the right one, they are different. Pinch the chain with your fingers and raise it up. About a 1/8 of an inch loose is all you need. Spin it by hand and see if the chain feels hard to turn if so loosen it up a little bit. I hope this helps because you should not be having this problem with this saw or any other saw. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Be sure to watch part 2 in the lawn and garden playlist. Don't forget to grease the bar on the end with a chainsaw bar mini grease gun. You can get one made by Oregon at Tractor Supply or on Amazon. I didn't see any on Harbor Freight website. What you need is 10" bar length, 3/8 pitch, 0.050" gauge, model Trilink CL15039X. I think the Oregon chain will work. Here is the link to the one I have been considering. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H5WU4W/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 Thanks for watching!
@@keystonecop2005 I think I counted mine a while back and it had 39 links, like in the part #15039X. There is plenty of adjustment but I have not bought one yet. It would be nice if Harbor Frieght sold parts for saws they sell.
I’m holding off from buying the pole saw until I can positively buy a replacement blade, since I will be buying a battery for all of my cordless electric my tools I also won’t be buying the lawn mower, or weed eater if I can’t use the battery on my pole saw purchase! Also a good price on a tool with a higher than average battery price is also not a bargain.

Thanks for discussing about prepping the chain with oil before first use.

That's alot better than a gas powered weed eater- pole saw and quite. Great video and lots of imformation.
Thanks, I do the best I can.
Very helpful. I got one yesterday and set it up and did a few cuts. Thanks.

I have both versions of that saw. They throw chains every 5 min.

It's time to replace the chain. I can't find anywhere on the web that sells a replacement. Does anyone know of an equivalent chain?

@@blondeguy2035 That Oregon has 39 links, and the Trilink has 40 links. Is that an issue?
