How many events per year, can you go to Ferrari hq and 'check out' your car around fiorano whenver you want? can you send your car to any track you want? Do you actually own the car, or is it a complicated lease situation? What does buying actually mean? Even just how much it is. Does ferrari cover travel and accommodation expenses? What does the engineering support mean? What happens if you crash the car? Do they host spec races at the events? This video left me with more questions than answers lol and I think you guys should make a follow up, maybe the Ferrari racing days event at Laguna Seca 15-19 of May to show us more
You can keep those Ferraris at your home. Over the years you saw collectors having them stand in their garage. I doubt every owner does it, but if you want...
Hey! I have a bit of an insight about these things so I'll answer the questions. 1. There's about 10-12 events at different tracks around the world for XX cars. 2. Yes, you can checkout your car at fiorano and even drive on the track given you have an appointment. 3. Yes, you can send your car to any track you want but you will have to pay Ferrari for the shipping charges and race engineering crew charges. 4. Yes. You legally own the car and it is in your name. It is just stored by Ferrari at maranello so that it can be properly maintained and taken care of by the experts there. They ship it all around the world for you to drive at the events. You can also store the car with yourself if you wish to! 5. You pay Ferrari for any of the events that you want to attend with the car (usually around $50-$70k per weekend). This includes the charges for shipping the car, accomodation, food , trackday, driver training and maintanence crew. Travel cost is on your own. 6. They cost around $6M in the US nowadays. 7. These racecars need to be properly maintained and run to make sure they work properly. Unlike a normal road car you can't just turn on the car and start driving. There needs to be lots of preparation in terms of oils, fuels, tires, engine, software, etc. So there are Ferrari engineers at the track to take care of the cars while they run and fix them if anything goes wrong. There are many mechanics and technicians just like in F1 to make sure the cars run smoothly. 8. The trackdays are more for experiencing the cars freely on a track rather than racing. Racing on the track during XX days is not encouraged but a few owners still love doing it😜. Let me know if you have any more question!
The full name of the SF90 XX is SF90 XX Stradale (meaning "Road" in Italian). That Stradale moniker is very important part of that name because it clearly indicates that it was never supposed to be a genuine XX programme car but a road legal version of the Ferrari XX cars. All the engineering experience gained from the XX programme has been carried over into the SF90 XX Stradale. That's the whole point of this car.
