I love seeing your mind work and your language progressing through your relationship with David. It’s so cute seeing you two learn together and how you make such an effort and he supports you and aids with some words when you’re struggling. Having a boyfriend who speaks a language you’re learning is so helpful. It reminds me of my studies in Spain. I am living vicariously through you in these times. i'd be interested to know the differences you feel travelling with david... do you feel 'safer'? would you have gone to all the same spots?
That's a good question, would love to know as well! Personally, whenever I travel with my boyfriend I always feel safer, no matter where I am :)

San Cristobal de las Casas is really worth it to visit this colonial city, because there are many amazing things to do not only in the city but also outside the city limits.

It is so cool to hear you speak Spanish! I am learning Dutch at the moment so every time there are subtitles I pause and think - can I also say this in Dutch? - and then say it out loud and it makes me happy that I am getting better at the language

I lived in San Cristóbal and other parts of Chiapas for a while as a missionary. I got sick a lot while I was there lol, but I miss it sometimes.
Also I miss tascalate. That stuff is only in Chiapas and better than horchata

If you want to see the real Mexico, you should come to Guanajuato city, is a colonial city, looks like spain. Or San Miguel de Allende is colonial too. Oaxaca have the best food in México, and Mexico city has everithyng, prehispanic culture, colonial architecture, and modern and tall buidngs..
