I have been doing this routine every night before bed for the last 2 years and it’s honestly made the biggest difference to my sleep, my flexibility and how I feel in my own body. It’s time at the end of the day to process, to reflect, and to unwind, and as a result I sleep so much better. I’ve tried lots of other bedtime yoga but always return to this one. Thank you Brett, it’s really changed my life (no exaggeration!)
Brett, you are the ONLY person that can get me to relax while doing yoga. I always seek out your videos when I need a yoga fix. Thank you! I'm grateful that you post these videos on youtube
Just started doing yoga again less than a week ago, I'm currently sick and have had a problem sleeping and relaxing enough to get to sleep. I came across your channel a few weeks ago and this popped up tonight. This was this a life savor! My body feels like below and my bed is so much more comfortable! Love your channel 💕
Great sequence for just before bed. I find it easier to watch a couple of times before actually doing it - not so relaxing trying to watch a screen at the same time!
I love this sequence. Its very relaxing. The only suggestion I would make is that the video is very bright. I did this on my Chromecast, but it would probably be better on the computer dimmed down. the background is very bright and reminds me of morning so it kind of throws me off. Would probably be more relaxing in a sunset or lower light setting.
Started doing your night sequence last week! I've been doing your morning and night sequence for the past week, and I've seen a noticeable positive change in my mobility and stress levels. Thanks Brett!
I LOVE this class . Brett’s voice has always soothes my soul . I can close my eyes and follow her cueing perfectly . She is a master to me and I am so grateful she is a gift from the universe 🙏🏻🌟✨
I gained a lot of weight since my knee surgery and since I can't work out hard anymore it's been hard for me to sleep. This video has helped me out a lot! Very meditative!!
Thanks so much for this video, I was just browsing for yoga videos and thought I'd try yours...so glad I did! I feel really calm and peaceful now. Thank you!
I feel grounded to the earth after that. Thank you! My year old knee injury has made my whole body out of balance but I think this might be a routine I can do (modified) regularly to get back to me again.
My roommate Martine and I love your videos! You seem like such a genuinely nice person and your videos are something we look forward to daily! Thanks for being so inspirational and awesome!
This was very, very relaxing, the stretches all felt sooo good. Didn't get the morning yoga done today, so substituted this sequence tonight. I'm noticing I don't feel right if I miss a day of yoga - *that* is awesome. :)
Im 13 and i already started having problems in sleep. I think im too young for this but really this yoga helped me sleep well!!! Thank you for uploading the video!
BrettLarkinYoga Doing really good job, thanks for sharing! But for me your videos require one improvement - could you at the end of videos do yoga sequences without talking/explaining how to do it? Just go through sequence in your own pace/rhythm. That would be really helpful to watch whole sequence in motion. Anyway, thanks again.
I seriously need to do yoga more often. This was so nice, especially since I recently start some HIIT training exercise(it's also the first time in over a year that I started to exercise)to help lose weight and my goodness my muscles are sore! This yoga sequence helpwd me stretch out my back which is normally really hard for me to do. Thank you!
Brett you are beautiful and your guidance helps me go through all the moves without looking at the screen all the time. One thing I would love to see are PJ's haha. Lets get some flannel pants and an old tee-shirts in these videos for some bed time yoga flows! haha Thank you again. I'm a new viewer and i'm Hooked!
You have a very relaxing way of explaining things and I really appreciated the detailed instructions. This was literally my first ever yoga sequence so the explanation helped immensely. I look forward to looking through more of your videos. Thank you!
I found this video on pintrest at night, and figured why not go ahead and try it out. I feel so relaxed and wonderful! immediately subscribed for you videos afterwards! :) thank you!
Thank you for this. I am a boot-camper and runner who never does yoga. Nothing against it, I just like to play hard. However, I find this a nice challenge in strength and calm at the same time. Very good movement to wind down before bedtime.
+Terri Jacobs so glad you liked and practice with me again soon! lots more videos on my channel xoxo ruclips.net/user/BrettLarkinYoga ALSO I have some yoga for runners sequences you might love
I enjoyed your video. it's one of my first times doig yoga. I've been having some trouble with anxiety when I'm trying to relax before bed. I feel like I can't get enough air into my lungs no matter how many deep breaths I take. I feel like this helped a little. it was a little annoying that I had to keep looking at my phone while doing these poses so I could see what exactly it was that I was supposed to be doing lol but I'm learning so it's OK. It would've helped a lot more if my dog wouldn't have been so distracting and then taken a crap on my carpet. I guess he decided to go when I was trying to relax instead of when I took him outside earlier lol. but now I'm back to feeling anxious. :( I'll try again tomorrow and maybe keep him in another room or something.
Hi Brett! I really enjoy watching your videos on meditation and am now starting your yoga routines. I am a first rate beginner and have just tried this night time routine. I do not know if you have encountered this with heavier participants but I cannot seem to relax my forehead when facing down on the mat. I feel like I am just pressing my forehead in the ground and giving myself a pressure headache! I just have too much weight and gravity is winning the fight! Any thoughts or have an adjustment method for us heavier folks?
Heather Lucylucy Place a pillow or couch cushion or yoga block under your forehead. You should be comfortable so do whatever you need pillow-wise to help your body relax. LOTS of pillows and blankets are OK :) I hope this helps! Remember, your comfort is more important than doing the poses exactly like I'm showing, so always adjust accordingly. xoxo
+BrettLarkinYoga. Great! Thanks! I will try that tonight. BTW I really appreciate that you respond to your posts. It shows that you truly care how people doing. :) It's a rude world out there and it's nice to see some kindness. :)
Hi Brett! I really enjoy your videos. This was a lovely routine! My only criticism is that I was having difficulty hearing you; so I wasn't able to catch the cue to switch positions. When I was on the floor trying to follow along, I had to keep breaking alignment to check the screen. Perhaps something to keep in mind for future videos?
LorrinP Yes - thanks for letting me know. I just got a new sound recording system that should also help this issue :) Thanks for the comment and feedback! xoxo
Hey Brett, just loving this routine. Thank you so much! Was wondering if I could include your video on my parenting blog, I am writing about sleep. Vivi
Looks like a good sequence I may try to build this in to my bedtime routine. Is it OK to do this sequence if I have had a glass of wine or beer in the evening?
Amazing video!! I need help with my breathing. Please help! This sounds weird but I need help with my breathing, weather running or this, cannot get the breathing in a harmonious rhythm. Can someone help or recommend any videos which i could follow to help. It never feels natural when i inhale exhale ( through suggested in through the nose, out through the mouth) so after a while i loose the rhythm. PLEASE HELP!! It would benefit me so much!
Practice breathing while doing everyday stuff like simply sitting or lying down. as for the exhaling and pushing your abs back to your spine (or at least that's what it should feel like) I suggest you try stomach vacuums. perhaps not even the actual exercise but it'll give you an idea about how it should be done.
