I have put this much effort in to a video but RUclips algorithm is harsh and doesn't show mercy , I made a video telling my story about my crash on my channel I think its stuck though
Just had a look at some of your vids mate. They are solid, keep at it. I'm similar, I put what I consider is a fair bit of effort into my videos. But MCM are just in a league of their own, these guys are deep diving generations of cars to understand the history, they are mixing and mastering songs to suit videos, their post production is something you'd expect from a short film festival entrant. This is the perfect reason why I am still watching after all these years. Great story telling, wonderful car, well written intro, beautiful cinematography, well edited amazing music, and two friends sharing the memories it too to make a one of a kind...nugget. ) Thanks guys!
Guys you always manage to encapsulate why we are all car lovers. The bond between a man and his car and the friendships and relationships that come from owning that car is truly what the enthusiast community is about! Its not making the most power or driving as fast as possible or even showing off, it's about what that lump if engineered metal (or scrap) can be and how the process if growing with it makes you feel. Thanks for the amazing videos, keep em coming
Only 20 seconds in and that intro speech might be one of the deepest ever told in MCM, specially coming from Marty. EDIT: 4 minutes in... why am I crying? :')
Seeing the both of you in the Nugget smiling again made the wait of the build worth it. This is what it's all about, the journey, the friendships, taking a Nugget and making it your own. This is the best car related RUclips channel. Good vibes all around.
I feel like a proud dad 😂 been watching since the budget stereo on the driveway days and I'm so glad to see this come to fruition. Good on both you blokes 👍💪
I keep rewatching this build series because it inspires me with my AE86 build. It's old, Japanese, rusty yet has so much potential. I have learnt so much from this build series and it's reassuring to know that the path is the same for those who are building a car to this extent. It also gives me hope knowing that if we keep chipping away at it, it will flourish into something great, especially if your car is in pieces and you question whether if it was all worth it. Thank you MCM and Thank you Mira for being so transparent and realistic about what it is like to build/restore a car. Congratulations on the result!
One of the best MCM cars ever. It's not even because of the car - it's the story OF the Mira that makes it special. A story that - thanks to MCM - we've all been a part of, if only in the digital wings. Bravo, gentlemen.
Holy shit, it's finished. Thank you so much guys, this has been by far my favorite car you've worked on over the years. Little nuggets have so much soul, and you guys really captured it.
It took me 8 years to restore my 1967 El Camino by myself, I replaced 2 quarter panels, rear window sheet metal, both drip rails the upper dash and the whole front clip plus rebuilding the rest of the frame and drive train. During this time I was a long haul truck driver, I left my house Saturday morning and got home Wednesday afternoon every week and took a whole 4 days off for Thanksgiving and X-mas. I Drove a Geo Metro (Suzuki Swift) back and forth from the yard 80 miles away. When you find that one car its amazing the sacrifices you will go through to get her done. Congrats Marty, Enjoy!
One thing that dawns on me when i regularly go to classic car shows is i love the nostalgia feeling of all the 80's/90's cars ive owned and i love the fact people are willing to restore cars for future generations like my kids to appreciate them, but what cars will realistically be at classic car shows in the future built from 2010 to 2020 todays cars have no style like they used to. Well done marty you've done a cracking job you should be very proud 😊
You have to absolutely love the final videos if each build. They're like Windows into Marty and Moogs heart so that we can all learn to love each car as well
That intro was genuinely brilliant. You summed up our passion for autos, full stop. You can love a Mira as much as you love your Zonda (and all and anything in between) and that’s what it’s all about. Find out what you love, and freakin love the hell out of it. Period. I love it!
Thanks for sharing. Six years and only a few hours to tell a story, the “reality” of the car restoration and mod life. There is no rhyme or reason why we fall in love with our cars but at least your friend, as well as other real car people, understand and respect the attachment. Also proves you don’t need 1000 horsepower to enjoy a car you can drive anywhere and anytime or even every day. We all know our cars are never “finished” so looking forward to what’s next on the Mira!

11:10 - I love how philosophical Moog gets. Where Marty was talking about how worthless the car would be to someone else if he was to sell it, Moog's like "but think about how much you put into it - and how valuable is it to YOU?"
Straight up, watching this from the beginning has been pretty inspiring to me. From watching Marty go nuts at the scrap yard to seeing Marty's eyes light up when it was imported. Every step has been amazing to watch. Mad respect

You've earned every bit of enjoyment you get with from that car.
I've been watching this amazing video multiple times. This is a really successful project.
Mira was my very first car and my friends laughed at me when I drove it back then. Love it
ahh..finally, 5 years after Kei to the City was uploaded...congrats Marty!!!!!
Moved to literal tears. The love of the Mira is strong and the whole story is just beautiful. Stay mad, lads. Well done.
that is the cleanest 90's mira ever! i cant wait for moog's WRC replica 420hp/torque stick shift yaris project!
Aww man, your heartfelt words nearly bought me to tears into my lunch in the middle of the office at work. Your passion is what all people should aspire to have :)
Theres no better feeling than having spent so much time and effort and money and brainpower on building up a shell of a vehicle into the vision you always seen. I'm happy watching Marty enjoy this car. Theres a serious and palpable feeling that nothing else can compare to. Good on you guys!
And cheers to Moog being the best friend in the world to Marty by finding a way to make this happen.
It was awesome to meet you Marty up at Japanese car meet in Newcastle and see the mira. Seriously, awesome stuff. ♥️
If I could "like" this a thousand times, I would. Thank you for the Mira adventure.
The camera work, music and voice over on this was fantastic. Love the ending haha. Keep up the great work guys :)
@mightycarmods Six years in the making didn't realize ive been along for so many of yall endeavors with cars. from the bottom of my heart thank yall for everything yall do. #mightycarmods4life
I am a big hairy arsed bloke, and the beauty, story telling and epic quality unlike any other content on Youthube.. made me emotional and I may have got something in my eye and it watered!! Thank you!
TBH i started crying during the opening sequence, powerful words my friend
11:10 - I love how philosophical Moog gets. Where Marty was talking about how worthless the car would be to someone else if he was to sell it, Moog's like "but think about how much you put into it - and how valuable is it to YOU?"
Straight up, watching this from the beginning has been pretty inspiring to me. From watching Marty go nuts at the scrap yard to seeing Marty's eyes light up when it was imported. Every step has been amazing to watch. Mad respect
Echo Rabbit same man chills
This video took us all on your very emotional journey. Well done Marty and Moog. This is exactly why you guys are light years ahead of the rest.
I just re-watched this series again and have to say that MCM truly makes the best car content out there! This was an amazing story about a car I could not have cared less about at the beginning of the series but then grew to really enjoy more with each passing episode. Keep it up!
The face on Marty's face says it all with the Mira, he doesn't know it yet but deep down its probably his best car.
Beautifully narrated Marty. Well done :)
Man to think I was still a highschool student when you guys first bought this car, I'm getting deja Vu vibes all over!
You two plus the heaps of help from friends always find a way to connect and keep us watching. I cant wait for the next feature video.
Love Your enthusiasm for your Diahatsu. A friend bought two Diahatsu scooters years ago at a garage sale. We all thought he had wasted twenty bucks, but we all had more fun with those two scooters than anyone ever had with their full blown muscle cars. Live the dream Drive small fast cheaply.
Damn guys, this is amazing. Sure know how to bring tears to the eyes of a car lover. The paint job looks amazing. The whole car is great. Thanks for bringing us with you on this Mira journey.
That smile in the end...
It literally is written in Moog's teeth! THE YARIS HAS COMEEEEEE
I hope you are right, I would squeal if this was a Yaris
Omg I was thinking the same exact thing!!!
The Double Y build!!
Yota Yaris
@@ElkinsEric Then this is for you, I have spotted the car ;)

Nailed it.
I may have welled up a little. I wish I could click like on this vid so many more times. The joy you gents take in your cars adventures clearly shows through in your videos, and it spills over to the rest of us. Thank you, a thousand times over, for bringing us along on your journeys.
You guys have always had the uncanny knack for describing the emotions which cars invoke. Absolutely incredible, and makes me regret selling my Cappuccino so much!
No 10 mm sockets were hurt during the rebirth of this Kei car.
Great video guys.
5000 10mm sockets were reported MIA however
True... its abundant everywhere,
It’s been a beautiful journey on this nugget, thanks for having us along for the ride
We think you pretty much mastered the art of "cliffhangers"
I love you guys for loving cars so much. Your channel has been a feel good place I can go to for years now. The quality of your content and the sentiment behind it is top class and always comes from a good place. What I'm trying to say is thank you for being you and sharing you with us. Words can't relate how thankful I am for you guys.
You guys make such a small thing so big. I would’ve never watched this sorta thing happen. But you gents made it happen and what an epic story!! Such a history, love, dedication and ongoing support plus the love from the fans. This was/is a very epic build and I’m very glad to have been a viewer of this extinct build. Thanx gents. 👊🏻😁🇦🇺
When so many channels evolve on likes to super and hypercar modify/smash rebuilds MCM remains true to its core, 100% Genuine.
Honestly 6.6 . & Agreed ^
Most classic car guys: I want a Lamborghini miura
Marty : I just want a mira
EDIT
Marty: I just want a Turbo, Four Wheel Drive Mira!!!
It’s a MIRA-cle that you guys got this completed.
Im buying a suzuki works alto 660cc turbo charged in next 2 weeks wish me luck ! ........ absolutely greatest restoration and moded car build ever !!!!! Congratulations boys !!! Wishes frok 🇱🇰 Sri Lanka
I love the connection to the Mira, I don’t think people appreciate the importance of a car to some people. I remember my 98’ Corsa. I put 2 Cobra Daytona Bucket seats into the front. Flip down tv and rims and a trunk full of subs. Had it 4 years and I grew to love it. Hard to say goodbye to something you’ve cared for for such a long time.
