I bought one where the door is not only cracked but there is a very sharp poece of metal that sticks out a lil. The previous owners completely bend the door sill where the winch is and it was slanted and flat. The door wouldnt close bc of that so they just slammed it. I bent it back best i could and it doesnt look terrible but it looks beat up. Door closes better but no fully until i replace all the stripping. I cant find any that looks the shape of the stuff on it tho.
Great video and I'm doing exactly what you recommend but I don't think that Crack is from the gasket I had the gasket issue on my 2015 T250 for 7 years and no Crack at all and the door was opened and closed at least 10 times a day minimum 6 days a week
To be clear, I dont think it's just from the gasket I think it has to to with the door not wanting to shut and the operator (who does not give a damn about the vehicle) slamming the ever loving hell out of the door.
I have the same identical issue on my 20202 cargo van. Great Ford Quality ! Ford will not cover this under my warranty. You are the only video on this issue I could find. THANKS. Is this a permanent fix ? Please update
@@medtec6747 It is a very bad design. Obvious this was one of the many corners Ford cut. We had Badger ford truck replace our entire rear weatherstrip. They knew of the problem and used adhesive to hold it in place. We will see how long it lasts. Now to fix the many other minor defects, Windshield gutter, Gas Door and no switched 12v DC sockets. Are you listening FORD ??? You made a great video thanks.
The metal in the rear doors is definitely too thin. I cant even screw in my window security screens securely because the screws will just keep turning due to thin metal. The 12v sockets do eventually switch off after you leave the vehicle for a while. I leave my plug in temp and voltage display plugged in all the time. They power up again as soon as you open the door. The replacement gas door has been fixed too.
I have been watching all your Transit videos. They are excellent. Thanks for putting them out there.
Thank you very much I appreciate that
@AJOYS you are not alone. I am doing a weekend marathon on these videos!
Appreciate the video. Very helpful.
No problem!

Thanks for the video. Can you provide a vendor and part number for the gasket?
